Wow what a difference u sure did save the day
Perfect timing on this video! I’m actually waiting for my paint match to show up and I’m going to try to fix a chip myself. I tried sanding the area down because the clear coat was flaking where it was chipped and I got down to the metal 🤭 so I’m planning on prime, paint, seal, and polish. Would that be a good plan? Thanks sir!
Been there myself. Wet sanding is very tricky. I think your plan should work pretty well. It will never be perfect but it’s better than bare metal
Amazing hob! A true detail alchemist! Tha k you!
Question about the 🖊 pen you used where do you get them? And how do i find the correct color for the vehicle?
Thank you. The customer got this one from the dealer and they matched the color for her. You can also get it from any auto parts store. Your paint code should be on a sticker, usually in your glove box
After allowing the new paint to dry, I wonder if it would work to use acetone to level the repair rather than wet sanding? I haven't tried that but if you have what was your experience?
I remember trying that a while ago. Around the time Dr Color Chip was introduced which is basically the same process but I’m not sure what the chemical is. In my experiment I remember it didn’t work like I had hoped but don’t remember all the details.
Hello....I watched some of your other videos-- I noticed the yellow Kirkland towels again... They work very well.. I think the detailing industry overwhelms the public with so many microfiber varieties-- all $$$...Thanks
I love the Kirkland towels. I used to be anal about my towels. A different color high end towel for every occasion. At $3-$5 per towel, if you drop one in the grass or leaves, you might as well throw it away. The Kirkland towels at $18 for 36 are fairly disposable. I use brand new towels on paint, then they get washed and delegated to interior and wheel towels. Once they get to old or dirty I throw them away. I still use dedicated glass towels though.
@@TheDetailingBusiness Appreciate the response...
@@TheDetailingBusiness should you wash them before first use?
Nice
