Thanks so much for your tutorials. I’ve never cooked in my life thinking it’s so cumbersome. Trust me, you’ve really made it easy for me to learn how to make some wonderful dishes on my own, so much that my wife only wants me to cook now. Wow!!!

My _'Ghanaian'_ daughter-in-law turned me onto this. I find it's about as spicy as jalapeno peppers, but the added shrimp flavor makes it one of the most interesting condiments I've ever tried.
That's the second thing she's exposed this old white man to! _...the other being the fried plantain._
Diversity has been very good to my taste buds! 🤣

Since my Ghanaian spouse and I parted ways, I've just been winging it when I make shito. So thank you so much for sharing your recipe, and especially for clarifying the proportions (I was going way overboard with the ginger and a little underboard with the garlic). I don't add shrimp or any other meat to my shito so it keeps for months in the refrigerator. Right now I'm scraping the bottom of the jar, so discovering your tutorial is such a wonderful stroke of culinary luck. Oyiwaladɔŋŋ! Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to "like" this video, subscribe to your channel, and then click on your banku and waakye recipes. How do you say "Bon appetit" in Ga, by the way?😋

Madu, there isn’t a hard and fast rule that requires shito to be incineratingly spicy. To remove the heat, please shake your whole cruised chilis in a container with a lid and the seeds will separate from the chilis. It is the seeds that carry the heat. Also, you may use as little chilis as tolerable to you 🙏🏽💕

You can get it in any African or Spanish store. If you live in the DMV where there is a sizable Spanish population, you can get in the in the Spanish section of Giant stores.

You could still use the ones that has already been roughly grounded but not to it's powder form. You could still go to these Mexican shops where you could find the dry ones
