- RTX 3070 Founders. The new value king at $499? The RTX 2080 Ti, Super and 3080 all benchmarked at 1080p, 1440p and 4K shows that this card means serious business. And the undervolting and size factor makes it even better for mini-itx lovers.

should i get a 5 2600 and wait a year or two and then get a 3070?
try these gpu with xeon
Will the 3070 FE available in ozzy ?
I liked the fact that he moved to benchmarks first, straight to the point and no bs
So digestible too
Exactly. No 3 mins of "The CRAZIEST CARD to EVER HIT THE MARKET", "YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT THIS CARD CAN DO" or "THIS IS THE END OF THE 20 SERIES"
Other youtuber grows bigger: more click bait. More bs.

Yesterday was 10 years since Bryan uploaded the Razer Abyssus review, one of his first ever reviews and his current oldest video! Here's to TEN MORE YEARS of Tech YES!
Haha cheers Marco! Definitely been one long ride!

Still dont even need a 3070. That being said, if it's ever in stock I kind of want one.
Same
I don't need one for any kind of reason, but I still want it
Same my gtx 970 and rx 5700 is doing fine in both builds...
6:34 nice ad-lib when the bird starts singing instead of cutting and starting over - top-notch presenter!
Im really glad you include all the gpu you tested including third party ones. Keep up man. Im happy for your straight to the point review and not bias towards manufacturers
Better question. Can anyone actually buy one?
Only reviewers can actually get one. What is the point of this review if we cant buy it !!!
In stock at pccg apparently
I got one.
Good things come to those who wait....such as this video.
And waiting a little further might bring nicer AMD vfm competition!
I'm really waiting for the 3070 + 2678v3 test....
I absolutely love your videos man. Keep up the good work. You are by far one my favourite channels on YT.
Nice work sir!
I’ve always been a upper mid range card person. Used a 770 combo at one point and loved it. Glad to see these cards are delivering so much value for the price. Thank you Bryan and excited for your 3060/3070Ti reviews. (:
I would just like to congratulate you for getting your hands on one of these rare cards.
Really enjoy your content m8, keep up the great work! Speaking of the 3070 possibly affecting memory longevity, would you consider running a comparison along the lines of a closed case with good airflow, and:
1. A 2080 Ti since performance is quite similar
2. The 3070 FE
Very interested to check out the soaked memory temps for both these cards.
Thank you for your review especially the undervolting part! I am interessted to see how the amd gpus will perform undervolted.
Nice videooo, can you do a review on the Galax Rtx 3070 carddd
Got mine yesterday and its awesome. AMD Ryzen 7 2700x CPU on a 370 motherboard with 32gb of 2400mhz ram. I play only in 1080P but maybe 1440p display will be a buy this holiday season.
I love the progress, but I'm gonna stick with my GTX 1070 for a bit. Got that puppy for 320 USD refurbished at microcenter just weeks before the crypto boom.
I'd be curious to see these benchmarks for MFS 2020.
Well now I’m looking forward to seeing all the fanless systems people build with this card. For quite some time a 1070 was about the fastest card you could adequately cool passively, now we have something with the power of a 2080 ti. You can literally have an 8 core/3070 htpc that makes 0 noise.
I prayed everyday to Tech Yes City and my 3080 tracking confirmation came in, thankyou sir
Awesome review Bryan, thank you for doing the UV piece! Most other reviewers only cover OC and stock power draw and thermals. I've run most of my cards (especially AMD) undervolted because it's usually a win-win with lower temps, power draw and noise while having next to no performance loss.
Did you not receive the PCAT from Nvidia to check card only power draw btw? Believe that would be a great addition to your reviews! Also much appreciated if you can let us know what the noise and temperature was after undervolting to 140-150W with the auto fan curve. I sold my 5700 in August looking forward to an awesome performance uplift at the same power draw (after tuning).
Temps drop into the 60s on auto in my bad ambients too, really worth it.
@@techyescity Thanks for the reply Bryan! I'm thinking of spending the extra $80 and getting a 6800 imported directly from Amazon US after reviews come out and launch issues are sorted. Yesterday's announcement by AMD pretty much killed the 3070 with its 8GB G6 and 2080 Ti-ish performance. Even if the "Infinity Cache" does absolutely nothing, the 6800 seems to have more raw GPU power, just as efficient even with double the VRAM, slightly higher bandwidth at 16 Gbps, so it's a win-win since I really don't care about running RT at the moment. Doubt AMD cards would come down to Sri Lanka soon because our retailers are super fanboys of Intel and Nvidia, while we have *no* manufacturer presence here.
3070 costs ~$670 locally anyway so I'll be saving some cash in the process, even after international shipping is added.
Will the studio drivers work on 20 series cards? Or are none of those features backwards compatible?
Love the magpie inclusion.
This would be a fun card to try in something like an oem dell.
Ah, here's the YES review everyone was looking for!
Does anyone know if the founders edition cards can be bought outside the US? I mean, I know that right now the idea of simply buying a 3000 series card seems like sci-fi, but I can't seem to find a Nvidia online shop that isn't solely for the US market.
I lucked out on BestBuy and mines on the way. I was trying to get a 3080 but I’ll settle with the 3070. Upgrading from a 2070 super I’m excited. Thanks for the great content as always. Much love from the US.
Shout out to our beautiful Magpies here in SEQ, hope they are well sheltered in these storms we're having at the moment.
damn it cost 700$ in my country

Worse yet, you have to buy a computer for at least 2000 $. WTF Thailand.
@@crazycom272 we have similar shit in Egypt lmao, you can't buy these GPUs separately even if you have the money for it.
It's like 1200$ here in my country, it's retarded....I want a GPU at normal price ffs just like USA
Got one today at best buy on the app at 6:08 am pst. So happy to finally upgrade from a gtx 1060.
Then you get really lucky... where i live (belguim) they expect new supplies in end january/begin february... i really want to upgrade my gtx 1060 for cyberpunk and assassins creed...
A few other tech channels did some experiments with the new cooler design and found the new cooler actually lowers motherboard and RAM temps because of the extra airflow even though it's warmer.
Video suggestion: When the new AMD CPUs and GPUs are released, do a video where you test comp games like Fortnite, CS, OW, R6S and others at comp settings and see at what point getting a more expensive GPU becomes pointless and maybe test with different CPUs as well - 10900k, 10600k, 5600X, 5900X.
3:31 People have done some testing with 3080 and it actually cools your memory dimms. Guess its same with 3070. Maybe you could do some testing?
can you link eveything you need to build a gaming pc please
I really really want that 55" OLED... but I don't game a lot and would want to use it for desktop use as well... and thus I'm also really really scared of burn-in. Do you think it's wiser for me to wait for better technology? :(
Thanks B
I am currently on 16 different waiting lists for a 3090,hopefully one of them will come through.
I'm so conflicted need advice... I am still on a 1050ti... I can get a 1080ti Poseidon for 300$. It also hits 2000mhz... and i do work in 3d applications so the extra vram might come in handy. Then again it is two generations old. Any advice would be appreciated.
The extra airflow will probably cool your DDR4, specially with those power numbers
Especially for the liquid cooled crowd who have no airflow.
The air-cooled crowd have enough airflow to cool the air down to no issue anyway.
I think that fan cools the memory in the end. Any air flow is better than none at all. The heat of graphics goes into memory and cpu without it
Yeah, this and the 3060(Ti?) are going to make it harder to sell/make money on used gaming pc's with GTX 1060s/RX580's. :(
I doubt it. The 580 still plays warzone on ultra in 1080p. Theirs still a market for that, not to mention Nvidia is getting abysmal yields from Samsung's node process. Chances are no one will be able to buy a 3070.
Good card for a dual PC build in a Phanteks 719?
So how much should the price of used 3070 which is 2080ti?
Great review. But man oh man. There is a reason Nvidia released reviews for the 27th and launching the card on the 29th. And that reason is Big Navi. So before I hit that order button I gotta see what Big Navi is all about 1st.
They fiddled so much with the release date that it's totally normal to get confused with the NDA date!
Who needs sleep when I can get some TechYes lovin'!

@Tech YES City - If price were equal, which would you pick, the 2080ti vs the 3070? 11gb vs 8gb & 3070 doesn't seem to overclock as well...which would be better for a 'budget' purchase? Appreciate your videos and thoughts.
Undervolting the 3070 with what I know, I would go for that, I don't utilize VRAM where I am usually gaming at high settings, though would make for a good video?
@@techyescity A battle between an undervolted 2080ti and undervolted 3070 would be neat, as would an overclocked 2080ti vs an overclocked 3070. On a side note - your camera work is really good.
An RTX2060/RT5700xt seem the sweet spot until things settle and both the full AMD/Nvidia lines are fully out AND available.
You can make a rx 580 system for the price of this card
I got a no post on RTX 3070 using X79! But then comes up on bios recovery only when I exit bios without saving settings does it get into windows. Can you please do a tutorial on installing the RTX 3070 on x79?
Looking forward to a 1440P GPU from team green or red. But availability and price is going to be the real kicker.
Greetings from México do you think the 8gigs of the 3070 is going to be a limit for the next 2 years if you play on 1080p 144hz great video 👊🏻
Probably not. VRAM usage is mostly dependent on texture detail, and it has nothing to do with frame rate. If you're playing at 1080p, I believe 8 GB of VRAM Will be more than enough for at least 2 years but probably more. Only if you plan to update to 1440p or 4K I would think to get a card with more that 8 GB of VRAM right now.
For 1080p gaming, 8 gigs should be just fine. It's only at 1440p and 4k that 10 to 16 gigs of RAM will make a real performance difference. The primary concern is that even the cheap Xbox Series S, which is intended for 1440p gaming, has 10GB of RAM... this is the same concern I have for the longevity of the 3080, when the PS5 and Xbox Series X both have 16GB. Just wait 12 hours to see what AMD has in store ;) saludos de Brasil!
@@felipefeldman9149 thanks for your coment but your talking of the amount of RAM and I refer to the VRAM of the gpu in this case the 3070 greetings bro 👊🏻 lets see tomorrow what AMD brings
@@saultrevino9110 thanks bro
@@jaroramos8057 yes sorry, I meant VRAM! The Xbox and PlayStation have shared memory that effectively acts as VRAM, since they don't have separate CPU and GPU. 8 gb of VRAM on the 3070 will be great for 1080p for a veerrrryyyy long time, but it might not be enough for 1440p and 4k. All three next gen consoles have more VRAM than it does. But for 1080p t's an amazing deal!
How does this card perform when paired with an Xeon E5-2678v3?
And, can you test the free to play game Warframe?
I am so happy with my decision to go with a 1080Ti when I built my PC over two years ago. The 2000 series was about to come out in a month or so ( at the time of the build) and I rolled the dice. Now I can upgrade to a 3080 or even a 3070 and get a huge performance increase. So glad I skipped the 2000 series. Part of me knew Ray Tracing wasn't going to be a legitimate thing for a couple generations. That being said, RT has matured faster than I expected.
you should make an undervolting guide
3:30 The air it blows goes right through the card, so it's at most a fraction of a degree hotter than the air around the memory anyway. It might even cool it...
I like the almost still smoked air.
Yes!!!!
Any news on 3060?
They are over 500 pounds in the UK, not one hits the MSRP. ASUS have one at nearly £700, this should be the value card but it looks like the 3080 is the sweet spot.

Hello! How do you think an i7-9700 (no K) would be with this card? I'm doing a first build and don't want to be bottlenecked. I don't want to go down the AMD path either. Thanks!
I think it should be an ok combo, but why no amd the new 5600x would be very good and probably would have better gaming performance

is the card anywhere close to $499 in Australia? the cheapest I see listed here is comparative to $565... as a result, I don't like the price point of this card at all. the higher end models go up to $700.

What you are failing to acknowledge when you claim rising prices are okay is that in order to actually get substantial value from a 30x0 card versus say an ordinary 1660, you have to buy a cpu and a monitor or TV for a system that combined costs more than $2000 USD. The people in this entire world who can afford to spend $2000 USD on a completely discretionary purchase are by definition the 1%. Now 1% of the world's population is at least 70 million, so that is potentially a stupendous market in sheer numbers. But it's still cutting off 99% of people from any hope of ever enjoying a system that can ever use a 30x0 to full advantage.
Because what has really happened and what both Nvidia and AMD top management have openly told their shareholders is that they have invested their companies futures to make the pc desktop gaming market an optional business. Sure, they'll take free billions if they can from the top 1% who can spend 100s of times more than the 99%.
