You're totally right, I don't buy anything music related when you have those over the top, bad made, copy protection (pro tools, steven slate, waves... I'm looking at you, fucking Ilok). You can mostly always find some equivalent from another brand, and if not, go the UAD route. Those anti-piracy protection are absolutely retarded, useless and makes your company look greedy.
That being said these plugins sound awesome with the wall of sound plugin, I especially dig the "tamed" and "organised" high end, it reminds me of the feel of the axe FX, wich I love.
    Thanks for this video !

Agree totally with your views on the IR's, very muddy and will need alot of additional processing in the mix but happy with the plugin simulation, very close to a real amp. The install worked fine for me, running reaper on Win 10 and used the online method, was up and running in 15 min

Im so glad you said that about Waves. I dig some of their plugins but am ALWAYS hindered by the fact that installing them is such a giant pain in the ass. My home studio has internet but my practice space studio does not, which makes it almost impossible to install anything new. Not to mention their new plugins don't even work with some older DAWS like logic 9. Felt the same way about the plugin though, pretty decent but without 3rd party IR's it just kind of blew!

10/10 would not put this anywhere near my records. But you did a great job though. Great production value.

Great vid man! I’m glad you showed using a different IR since I’ve been struggling to get a decent tone out of the supermodels. I wouldn’t mind if you spent some more time showing things off and other amp sims to give a better idea of the potential. Thanks!

Ahhhh the long awaited video. Thanks for this one. What's your opinion on using amp sim plugins if you don't really need an amp...My walls are pretty thin. So even listening to music annoys people in my house. And I'm the only metal fan so I'm sure you can imagine the thought. So I've been thinking about using decent/good amp sims, interface and good headphones? I see you don't have a gripe with amp sims, like "traditionalist" that's why I'm asking.

Hey man, so I am have no issues with amp sims, if you set them up right they are amazing tools. I have a Peavey 6505mh that barely gets any use unless I am using it for a pedal demo, other than that I use amp sims pretty much 95% of the time hey.
