Its been 4 years I have used this plugin and haven't touched any other plugins, tried them but went right back to prs plugin.even sold my tube amp becos of money issues cos I have so much trust in waves prs supermodels.Waves should do another amp using the exact same process or method cos you guys did the best job in the world when making this plugin.it sounds and feel exactly like the prs amp.i haven't heard n played other prs amps beside prs archon but honestly the plugin prs archon just blows away your mind

"... and it FEELS like a real amp. biggest complaint I get from guitarists is the digital models don't feel like real amps"
And yet every digital amp, EVERY SINGLE ONE, is marketed as having authentic feel, with at least one big time guitarist going "omg it totally feels like a real amp." 🤔
Anyway, awesome to see PRS amps as plugins, with PRS's stamp of approval.

Ehh, I would say there is some legitimacy to the claims of "feels like a real amp though"
Something like BIAS feels so stiff and dead, while others like Thermionik, S-Gear, and Helix Native blatantly feel more real.

This is my complaint. And I play blues, which is the killer because I need to have a true dynamic response.
But out of every one I've tried, these PRS models are the most realistic. They are versatile, maybe not versatile enough for everything.. but in regards to realism, they are the most realistic. When I play then, I forget that I'm even playing an amp sim. Especially if you load in some different IRs. I loaded my own custom IR of my vox cabinet and it just sounds real.

@@dylanm1978 There is something about the way the input stage is processed that makes this amp sim better. In my experience every other amp sim I tried, had those quick spiky transients that, as a side effect, killed the sustain too quickly since a bizarre dynamic response.

@@dylanm1978 I agree 👍.this plugin is the best amp plugin I have ever used and instead of using stock cabinets I use 3rd party irs like redwirez and ownhammer n it blows every other amp simulators away even fractal and kemper.

I was skeptical, bought them for 39 bucks and feel like a robbed a bank! Just awesome. I have many amp and rig plugins and they've always left me feeling like meh... close but not close enough, not these!

Bought it and love it. I have a few plugins for guitar and so far, this seems like the best. Very flexible and very full sounding. The Blue Sierra and Dallas are different to anything else I have. The fun of cranking a real amp is not going to be replaced, but for recording at home or just practicing, great.

I'll hand it to Paul, he knows how to sell his brand. If they weren't such quality guitars and products, he'd be a hell of a snake oil salesman!

I bought this plugin about a month ago and I love it. It has made me want to buy a real PRS amp! I get a really nice tone using an active DI instead of a buffer pedal.

Saw this and mashed the buttons on my computer til it took me to audiodeluxe
I’ve been using s-gear almost exclusively for a couple years now but if I know one thing, it’s that Paul doesn’t put his name on something he doesn’t dig. My cu24 has been my go to for over 15 years now, I’ve played some of the cheaper models and they’re killer and every time I’ve plugged into a PRS amp, it’s been great. I have little doubt this will be awesome, too. Probably should’ve watched some demos first but that’s ok. Three things I’ll always have faith in. PRS puts out great shit, fabfilter will never release a plugin unless it’s a veritable game changer and Indian food will always end in disaster.

I use Kazrog, BIAS, Amplitube 4, basically all the "usual suspects". These are "different". They are almost direct copies of the amps themselves. They dont have the functionality or modularity of the other guys, but my god; the archon sounds identical to an archon. Its fantastic if its what you're looking for. I've never played a Dallas irl, but it really captures that vox ac30 vibe super hard. Equally great. The V9 is ... eh; its easily the worst of the bunch, but the other two are just incredible.

Kingshuk Nath it's not intended to be like that. I own both; the archon just sounds like an archon. you can get BIAS close but not like this. if you want the archon sound, this is the best I've heard so far

Bias Amps were pretty disappointing to me, like lots of other sims and ive tried a lot. uad sounds pretty good, it’s expensive though, prs is good value for the price. You can’t go wrong with em for 49$. Sure you can put an uad ox on your amp and be happy but you gotta spend 13 hundred dollars for it.
