I have been subscribed to you for a few years now. I remember looking at live pregnancy test videos when I was trying to conceive and that is how I believe I found you. 😊I have not had any vbacs or c sections actually but I do know how hard it is to make a difficult decision regarding your pregnancy. My daughter was breech so on top of other complications I had to choose between an ECV to turn her or a c section. It was scary but I went with my gut instinct because either option had risks for me and my daughter. I chose the ECV btw. I guess that may not be helpful since I haven’t had a vbac lol but I wanted to be encouraging anyway. A mother’s instinct is powerful.

Elise Nicole I love hearing your story! I know it’s not exactly the same, but I like hearing about others making tough birth decisions and why they chose what they chose, so thank you!

It isn't Selfish at all. The best advice anyone can give you is to Pray on it. God will guide you and trust in your motherly instinct. It has been done and can be done. But it ultimately comes down to what your comfortable with. Happy Valentines Day!!!

Mallory Edwards thank you for the words of encouragement! I’ve been praying hard over it, and I hope I’m guided in the right direction because I feel so conflicted. I really want to try, but the fear of a bad outcome is scary!

I’m a nurse and one of my nurse coworkers had a vbac after 2 c sections and it went great! She was so glad she did. My sister in law ( also a nurse) was told during her 3rd c section that she had torn internally and not know and if she tried for vbac she would have completely ruptured and baby could have died. Not trying to scare you, just weighing in! Good luck with your decision, you’re doing the right thing by researching!

I have had 2 successful vbacs after one c section. It’s definitely NOT a selfish decision. When I got pregnant with my second child I was determined to not go through what I went through after my c section. My experience with c section was absolutely horrible. My midwife laid out all of the facts and statistics and said we would try and at any point if there was any risk of danger to me or baby we would do c section. I will say my first vag delivery was hard. 26 hours of labor and it took 6 weeks to heal but still better than a c section. My second was wonderful. Only swollen for 3 days and everything went absolutely amazing! Currently aiming for my 3rd vbac, due in April! I’d say go for it! Sounds like you have a great doctor and great support! Why not? Good luck either way! Can’t wait to see how everything goes! 💗

Entwistle Family Vlogs I’m in your boat! Well kind of. I had a c section, then a successful induced vbac at 39 weeks but was in labor for 32 hours so it wasn’t the greatest lol, and now due in July and going for another vbac but it has to be induced again at 39 weeks and I’m wondering if it will go better this time and take less time since my body has been through it before! You said your second was easier, was it cause you had done it before and it took less time? Any tips?

I did have a VBAC, after an emergency c-section, and I got pregnant just 3-months after having the surgery, and everything went fine. Just go with your heart, because I know you have, and are continuing to research the pros and cons.

I had a successful vbac after 2 previous c sections in 2017. First c section was emergency, second was failure to progress. When I first asked my Dr about it he laughed at me, but after much consideration with his team agreed to try. When I was in the hospital I was nervous of the bad things that could happen but my nurse told me she purposefully put me in the room closest to the OR that way if needed she could get me there in a hurry and that if I was to rupture there would be signs leading up to it. That made me feel much better. My labor was very long 33 hrs, but ended in a successful VBA2C. I went in hoping for a vbac but open to a c section if needed, regardless of the outcome I was thankful to even have the option to try.

A good plan could be to attempt a vbac, but if anything seems off during, switch on over to C-section. It's not as if you can't move over to a c-section if you try a vbac, so you really could have an attempt at it.xx

StephieAck that was kind of my thoughts on it too, I guess I’m just worried an emergency would present itself, and then not getting baby out in time. So many things to consider!

@@maddiebttc1730 I totally get that. You would be at the hospital though and most hospitals can get baby out super quick when needed. Definitely lots to consider.xx

You look incredible Maddie glowing as always. You are seriously the cutest pregnant momma ever. Pregnancy so suits you and you have the cutest bump. You are a beautiful pregnant goddess. I think the waddle is cute you got your mom swag going on now go rock it. You should definitely voice your desire for a vbac as long as your safe. Fingers crossed you are able to have the vaginal birth you want. It’s not selfish to want to experience a vaginal birth as long as it’s safe for you and baby. Do you know the actress Kara Killner from Chicago fire you remind me of her. Hope you and hubby had a great Valentine’s Day. ❤️ do you plan to do maternity photos or a belly cast?

    Hi mad!
I had my first csection. (Worst recovery ever) second was a successful vbac. Between the two recoveries I choose vaginal everytime! Do what feels right in your heart. Try the vbac if things start heading south I'm sure the drs will know what to do/look for. I was very well monitored for my vbac I was actually induced for it which is controversial as well. But my team of drs and nurses were on it! Many have come before so we are equipped more now then ever. Good luck!

My sister in law just had her third baby last month. 2 emergency c-sections (for different reasons) and her third she has a very successful vaginal birth (at home!) Her oldest will be 4 in March her middle just turned 2 a few weeks ago. For differance of distance between deliveries.

Sydney Lenke that’s actually really nice to hear because that is almost exactly the same age gaps I will have with Jonathan, Ellie, and this baby (except Ellie will be two months closer in age to this baby). I’m so glad she had a successful vba2c. That’s something to be proud of!

First of all, your make up looks amazing. Second, my first baby was a C-section(she was breech) then I had 4 successful vbacs. For me, my c-section recovery was about the same as my vaginal births. Maybe I got lucky to have such a good recovery? 🤷. If I was in your shoes, I would try for a vbac but be prepared for a C-section.

It is safer for both mom and baby if labor starts naturally.

I haven’t had a Vbac after 2 but I had it after my twins pregnancy and I had to fight. The practice I went to you had to see every dr and every doctor said something different. I had a baby boy successfully and then the twins pregnancy which is why I think in the end I was “allowed” to have my vbac. All the drs ultimately told me we won’t induce but you can’t go past 41 weeks no drug (aka patocin) but the crazy thing was in the end I was put on patocin and had the most amazing birth of my 4 babies I actually delivered my own baby!!! I hate more then anything that drs and the internet scare people into making or feeling like they can’t make decisions about there birth. You can have this baby the way we were intended to have babies and you should! Fight for it because it’s worth it

MaKayla J I’m glad you were able to fight for the right to have yours and it was successful! Such an inspiration! I really would love a vbac. Like, so much, I just want to make sure I’m not being irrational or selfish for wanting that after having 2 previous c sections. Uhg, it’s hard!

Hi Maddie! I totally get why you would want to have a vbac. I was the same way but ended up having all 6 of my kids c-section. My doctor wouldn't do vbacs after 2 c-sections and with me living in Ohio, its very hard to find any doctors who will do them after 2 c-sections. I know you have done your research, but I am surprised that your doctor didn't tell you that your risk goes up significantly of a uterine rupture after 2 c-sections. Its def. not 1-200. 'sorry, I don't buy it. I know you saw the video of the girl a few years ago that almost died of a uterine rupture after 2 c-sections. However, I just watched a video a few days ago , her channel is called makingbabiesfamily. She had her 3rd c-section just a few weeks ago and she was telling the story of how she went into labor and was contracting for several hours and when they went to do the c-section, the doctors found that she had ruptured and that it could have been devastating but that her and baby were very lucky that they caught it right away. You should go and watch her video. Anyway, good luck with your decision! Healthy baby, healthy mom is all that matters. I feel you though, I felt cheated that I never got a vaginal birth.

Karla Ricker thank you for all of your input! I love hearing from everyone and their experiences! My doctor did say that the rate of uterine rupture does go up with having 2 precious c sections, but not by a whole heck of a lot. All of the studies I’ve read agree and they all say uterine rupture rate after one c section is around 0.72% and it goes up to 1.36% after 2 precious c sections 🤷🏼‍♀️ There’s a whole lot to take into consideration for sure, so I’m going to keep doing my research and listening to others, and talk more with my doctor!

@@maddiebttc1730 Oh wow! I didn't realize that. My doctors have always told me that after 2 sections, it was like a 3-4 percent chance of uterine rupture. I think the statistics swing back and forth. Next year it might be different. lol All I know is that I know 3 people between youtube and a friend of mine that ruptered after 2.sections trying for a vbac. Not trying to scare you.
