After searching through dozens of videos I actually find a video with some actually new, actually original, cool instruments. I especially love Koko’s instruments (first guy)
yeah he's amazing!
The creators of these wonderful instruments, you can tell their passion and adoration for their work.
Some more detailed with their instrument explanations than others, but that does not take away from the care and love they put into their instruments.
It's always delightful to see individuals who are strongly passionate about the things they make, no matter the materials, no matter the look, all of it is a work of art, and I am glad a spotlight was given to showcase such works!
and at the end when they all communicate together, answering the same question while also just having a conversation as they're all like minded people, it's so human, in an otherwise what's usually perceived as lifeless bubble due to the electronic aspect. couldn't be any further from the truth that.
Bowing a laptop and playing The Swan ... what a time to be alive.
*what a time to be alive indeed*
My favorite part of this is that all these beautiful lil nerds were up there on a stage, poking their weird contraptions going “uhh and then the sand and the laser..” while an audience watched in fascination.
I fcking love inventors 😂 incredible
I didn’t pay close attention to their names at the beginning, and about halfway through the second guy, I was thinking “oh this guys stuff is just like that guy geese geeskee or however it’s pronounced. Turns out it IS him! His work is legendary in my mind but I’ve never even seen a photo of him. Humble genius!
GIJS is his artist name
Amazing work and creativity. I'm amazed. Thanks for this ableton, and to the artists.
One of the best videos I've watched on RUclips.
the first dude’s work was pretty impressive
getting all kinds of inspiration - very cool.
Such fun/fabulousness. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
This is amazing and is true Art.
Fantastic and very inspiring for my own experiments. Loads of ideas to be had from this 😊
i love the ableton community! BIG UP! ❤️
Really proud of you Koka! :O
Oh, that vibrato on the laptop keyboard sounds incredible!)))
WOW! So inspiring! On all those Snobs who imply that you Need expensive plugins to make that "organic" Music: shut up, grab a bucket and a hammer and finally start making good Music!
I’ve never met any snobs who imply that “you need expensive plugins to make that “organic” music”. It’s not meant as a snipe at you. I really haven’t met anyone like it. I did hear people claim you need expensive audio equipment to hear music and those who claim some instruments made from wood need expensive wood. Like in case it guitars for example.
genius🙃💙thanks for sharing
Gotta love the sound nerds!
absolutely coooool
excellent
Incredible!
@7:15 is there any sort of scematic available to rebuilt it? Not sure how he implemented the mouse sensor to make it work.
At 10:06 I want to know how to make that instrument
nice!
Wow. Love it all. Building little toys to make those incredible sounds. I wish I had the time. Then there’s 🎣Alice, bless her heart, ruined a perfectly good cello to get those particular sounds.
that cello part :)
cool stuff love it!!!!!
I beleive these devices would be at home at Birminghams Supersonic Festival.
Koka Nikoladze 🙌
Ah, this is cool, but I’m confused. Are these items we can purchase in the near future? Lol
Neat ❤
от техно до конкретной музыки. Прогресс
Brutal
The second guy froze for a sec after watching the first presentation
i want those music boxes pls pls plssss
Check out DADA Machines Automat Toolkit. You can send MIDI to solenoid pistons. Very easy to make a music box.
5:10 sound.
Hijs Hieskes 😻
Love the Hendrix mention!
Omg but how much is this gonna cost me? I need a laptop bow. Wtf
really cool but i think that 7:08 is fake
electroasoustic is really something...
14:06 chewing sand sfx
good toys for zoo pet shops...
ნაის კოკა!
What do these guys do wrong? It's on the fringe that a medium evolves. It doesn't invalidate other forms of music. Let them experiment and find new ways.
Do you consider drone or ambient as music?
Maybe that's the lack of harmonies and melodies that bugs you. One could shift perspective and consider it sound design. Or research for fun. I don't think these guys are taking themselves too seriously.
With respects to everyone involved (well done, we all love music in our own ways) but Loop videos have been esoteric enough of late that I decided not to attend Loop in LA this year.
We need to go back to analog
S T E A M P U N K W A V E

WHAT AM I DOING W MY LIFE

Ableton Developers Please Please Work on Theme section please request. We want Ableton to look like pro daws But it don't looks in the default themes. Please work on theme sections make it different and easy for eyes.
Try the dark one, looks slick
This is what you come up with when taking to much drugs. :D
Alice Eldridge - did you really describe Hendrix use of feedback as uncontrolled.. that's very far from the case, Hendrix was deeply involved in the design of instruments and effects pedals he used and everyone considers classic, I don't see how your work bests his at all!.. nothing exciting imaginitively, technically or playing wise in this, sorry. Whereas Hendrix inspires millions of people with his imagination even 50 years later.
Your ableton programming is daggy as your beard
There are some things about this whole presentation that are very awkward. First of the first two performers don’t have a chair and remain standing. The lady has not one but like 3 or 4 chairs.
Then there is some issue with one demonstrator being shy and having difficulties with English, while the other speaks too fast and too loudly is almost too arrogant. I don’t know. Maybe I am wrong about the whole thing. But that’s the impression I got.
Then, yes you did miss the whole performance.
Do these guys have real jobs ?
All very clever but musically,,, ahh ahhh doesn’t do it for me … all sounds industrial and lacks that natural sound of traditional, instruments
No es musica, es solo ruido, maquinas de ruido de mierda, el concepto es interesante, pero puesto en manos de tipos como estos no la vamos a ver progresar. un enchastre
espero no piemses de la misma manera de cuando hiciste este comentario
