Just played a ranked game and went 11/1 and lost the game. At the end of the game, the enemy mid (yone) was 0/12 So, ya, I totally need this video xD EDIT: Knew everything as I have been watching SC for like, 3 years now. But as he said, I probably didn't apply them.
Sometimes it would take challenger macrogame level to win these kind of games if your team is feeding. It's really really hard to win 1v9 and not supposed to happen in a same skill level players. Just imagine you're in the enemy team: 4 members doing extremely well and only one in the enemy team doing good, then you lose 4 to 1. That would be even more strange than you losing, right?
That tip on tracking your teammates as well is indispensable! Don’t know why, but I’ve never thought about it from the perspective of what the enemy sees. I love videos like this that really test and improve your decision making skills. So what does one do when no other teammate is making good decisions?
Honestly it's a huge turn off, I used to subscribe to skill capped but most of the vods felt like high elo players just yelling at you for making mistakes (which was why I subscribed in the first place, to learn not to make those mistakes) I understand the negative reinforcement concept but it's really frustrating to be constantly berated for having a problem, recognizing that problem, and trying to take steps towards fixing it.
"You can clear the wave, especially when your teammate is dead or won't make it for the CS, this is good for everyone." Tell that to my Fiora top who went AFK because I cleared her wave which was going to die before she got there anyway and denying their Darius a huge wave, and my Shen support who said clearing her wave "for no reason" was just as bad as going AFK. Oh, and don't forget the Fiora said I didn't crash the wave and the Darius froze after, despite me checking the replay and confirming the wave did in fact crash and was entirely missed by Darius. Yes, I'm still frustrated by this. :/
I started following you guys a wgile ago. Climbed from S3 to gold 3 really fast. I rarely throw leads now. I just need to get better in the first 3 waves to not screw it up.
I answered all the "What would you do?" question correctly with the same reasons. But i'm still Bronze lol Edit: My consistency has definitely gotten better and it's guaranteed that i will be a threat to the enemy in mid to late game, even when i get camped i stay cool and play the wave. However my win rate is still on the rocks. I will admit to coinflipping in some games but i don't in most. Maybe my mmr is in the dirt
@@johnysimps1191 why do you keep playing aurelion sol and diana, your trundle is really good, so is your karma so just play them and you'll get out of bronze in no time. If you enjoy playing diana and a sol, just play them in flex so you can cool off from ranked.
Mistake #9 is a tricky one... I mean, it's gold we're talking about, there is a good chance that if Cassio didnt rotate to "help" in that play then the jg and/or support would claim things like "Mid dif", "GG no team", etc, procceding to troll, playing ignoring mid whatsoever and/or disconnecting, unable to see that the result would have been much much worse, hence losing any possibility they still have to win the match.
I always watch these guides to get better and i know i have improved. I am s3 and when i got a random plat as my adc in bot (i am a supp main) i saw how they understood the waves and managed them well. I know how a wave should look like before basing now so seeing how my adc didn’t screw up was just amazing… I wanna climb to an elo where my jungler doesn’t flame me if i fix a wave before rotating into their coinflip fights now, can anyone tell me how high i need to go?😅
2:00 this one I genuinely wouldn't make because at this point I've watched more than enough skillcaped videos on recalls (and that's part of what got me INTO gold in the first place) edit: ok I'd just recall and go back to lane even if I saw the roam instead of following so I'd aguarbly not do much better
i agree abt the recalling thing i do see a lot of ppl take te worst recalls . but sometimes i hear in different guides that . ppl below diamond dont know how to manage a wave . and thats totally wrong i play against a lot of players who know when and how to freeze how to slow push and stuff (im silver btw)

My issue seems to be primarily in establishing any serious form of lead. I just played a game of Wukong into Nasus. Obviously I should stop this lane, especially in the early game, but by just last hitting, not autoing otherwise, the wave was permanently shoved, and I couldn't do anything to him. He legit just never shoved the wave until like lvl 7. He could sit under tower and farm and there was nothing I could do about it. What should I have done. I regularly have issues like this, where I could stomp the lane but they just give all control to me and as you know, if the wave is nutral your only options are let is stay neutral and miss all the cs, or push, either fast or slow. You cant make the wave come to you unless you bounce it, which he was making impossible.
The question is how he was making it impossible for you to bounce it. If the wave is in front of his tower, you just have to clear the next wave fast when it comes to bounce it. It’s only awkward when the enemy casters are under the tower a bit, but as wukong you should be able to clear them fast enough with E and Q and get out with W. After this you recall and come back to a wave pushing to you.
@@Pulatapus2016 It would bounce back, but he made it bounce really hard so he would have like 3 more casters than me, so it was almost crashing my tower, and then he would back way off, and even last hitting resulted in the wave pushing back to him, again. Then because I didn't want to just give up cs I had to let him have the wave pushing into him. Basically he made it so we had to play catch with the wave, and because I am Wukong, and he is Nasus I of course got outscalled. Basically he refused to fight me in lane phase, at least until 6 , and I couldn't make me because he was willing, and able to, sacrifice all lane pressure, if he had tried to pressure at all I could have destroyed him, but because he gave none, even my slight pressure caused the wave to push. I just got out of another game into Nasus, once again, gives all lane pressure. This time I dove him, I timed it so that he was chunked beforehand, I was above 90% hp, it was one a cannon wave, and I was hitting 6 off the canon wave but because I was crashing a huge wave he wouldn't have ult. Also, I had ignite up. I did successfully solo kill him in the dive, and I got out, but because of wither I couldn't get out in time, although I was outside tower range when I died, the last shot got me. Before you ask, yes, I held W to get that mobility for the exit, unfortunately I had gotten ganked twice already, this is lvl 6 just hit mind you, so flash was down, as I had blown it getting away from Trundle. A huge wave died under tower, but he was able to TP back and catch the next one. I walked back to lane and caught the wave as it got to my tower, we had killed each other, so I only had a long sword advantage and he had hit 6 now, I had burned by ult in the dive, and from this point he had wither and ult so I couldn't kill him. Also, 1 Q took like 1/4 my hp. I got a few ganks, and we killed him quite a few times, although at this point it was Nasus and there was nothing I could do to stop the snowball. Even when I got a gank and we killed him he could always take one of us with him, and his jg was usually counter ganking before we could retreat to saftey after the kill. So he picked up two or three more kills like that, and then began roaming. He and the Garen who was absolutely obliterating Katarina mid lane, along side an infuriating Trundle carried their game to victory.
just slowpush the first 3 waves to stack them up, base and freeze when u come back. With an item advantage and against a champ like nasus, you should have full control over whah happens, even if u dont have an item advantage, you should still win an all in in his minion wave. the key here is to just let the wave come back to you and freeze.

tbh i wouldn't blame most players for being unable to properly chain CC considering you can't see the CC timers for your teammates CC...for some reason, you can only see the CC timer for your own abilities. OFC you can see them in a replay or whatever, but those players can't see each other's CC timers, and it's DUMB.
Yestersay I played as Zed, I went like 7/0/0 after lanibg phase and didn't know what to do.. I went to bot to collect some waves and let my bot to go mid.. And didn't do much in the rest of the game... idk what I should've done to win that game, I defintiky could 1v9 that game.. Maybe try to get tier2 in mid..(?
As a guy who has made it do high dimond on 3 roles i can safely say that people all the way up to masters overvalue roams. As a midlaner roaming should NEVER be done UNLESS you have a lot of roamtime and/or its a 80% or higher chance of the roam being successfull. If you are below plat 1 i dont want you ever roaming. You will get better results just staying mid farming and taking plates if you have the lead.

I had a game where I pushed bot lane from tier 2 tower and ended the game with the enemy team responding with 1 person (Yone) for me to kill as (Malz) and that person was 5/8/6 level 15 with 133 cs. I have 218 cs, 11/5/2 level 17. he got 1 shot and I tell my top to TP and we finish it so fast while enemy team still in mid waiting for the wave! to tower dive xDD So FUNNY how this is low elo #Sleepingteam.
i implemented what you called in this video and what happens is - i get my lead, i keep my lead, enemy team gets fed and i lose 1v5 because my team gets killed in those idiotic fights.
Okay so probably a bad question but I'll shoot anyway just for confirmation, if I'm on support, and I go like 1/7/25 for example, is it still bad to die this much if I save teammates or create positive trades/help take objectives?
wasting cs is a common problem and one that lowkey kinda tilts me as well. i've had low elo junglers tell me that taking mid wave (when it's 6-7 minions + cannon) is worth less than their raptors. generally, low elo does things wrong 90% of the time.
#5 I did this recently, catching CS that would have gone to waste otherwise, or rather since I literally had nothing else to do: I simply hold the wave, only lasthit and leave as soon as the laner is back. Guess what I got for that? "Keep stealing my CS and I go afk" Even assuming that I might have been wrong there, it's still a no-go to threaten your team like this. Other times I actively push the lane even with the laner just a few seconds behind me, and I immediately go to drake and pinging for asist. What does cpt smartypants do? Help drake? Of course not. He stands in his pushed lane, does basically nothing and types angry messages in chat.
Seriois tho my low elo friends use mute all it is a game changer I promise you. I'm d1 and sometimes master and I still mute all. But I always turn off chat on smurfs. It will save you so much LP. I'm very prone to tilt and very petty. I won't lie. But I wanna win xD
I’m having the problem of the team always initiating fights without me. Say I’m playing Ziggs, and I went even in lane, maybe even got a kill and some plates. By midgame, the ADC just shows up mid, essentially forcing me to go down to bot to catch waves. Shortly after, as midgame starts, the team just abandons all lanes aside from mid and tries to team fight as soon as they respawn over and over and over in the bottom jungle, typically on the enemy’s side but not always. Even if dragon is killed, jungler or support try doing cheeky things and get caught or fight, no matter what. If we have vision on enemies in the jungle on the same side, they force fights. Support tries getting more vision or the junglers tries stealing buff camp, they just stay in midlane and bottom side jungle. Knowing that, say, I’m a mage that isn’t going to make a tremendous difference (at most, turn the fight from a near guaranteed lost fight to a coin flip) because they’ve already engaged, or started running away, I end up avoiding most fights, and shove waves before recalling as the fight ends. And pretty reliably it’s a single person on the enemy team that’s getting the kills, so even if I’m funneling gold into myself, there’s somebody on the enemy team that’s racking up enough kills to beat my CS. Or, say, the enemy team has a splitpusher like Tryndamere or Fiora, I can’t contest their push as ziggs or xerath.

Typing this as he is at the mistake 2 segment and i hope he brings up a huge mistake that happens ALOT in lol elo. That would be when u have a lead if u trade even that is a losing situation for u. U may have a bounty so more gold for the enemy and if u are stronger u should NEVER take even trades. If u already can 1-shot a carry on 2-3 items u dont need the extra gold as u can already 1-shot your target. The weaker enemy on the other hand cant 1-shot there target but with u doing even trades speeds up there gold gain and now they can 1-shot your carry just becouse u did even trades when it was very mutch avoidable. EDIT: He made very good points but i still would have liked to se the "dont do even trades just for a kill when u are ahead" in there
when i win lane i snowball hard mid game get many items as a hypercarry i'm super fed and then i just keep randomly dying cuz i get caught 5v1 in bushes lmao

I'm happy to say that despite being S1, I have watched enough skill capped vids to know what to in my games in similar situations shown here. XD

Yestersay I played as Zed, I went like 7/0/0 after lanibg phase and didn't know what to do.. I went to bot to collect some waves and let my bot to go mid.. And didn't do much in the rest of the game... idk what I should've done to win that game, I defintiky could 1v9 that game.. Maybe try to get tier2 in mid..(?
As a guy who has made it do high dimond on 3 roles i can safely say that people all the way up to masters overvalue roams. As a midlaner roaming should NEVER be done UNLESS you have a lot of roamtime and/or its a 80% or higher chance of the roam being successfull. If you are below plat 1 i dont want you ever roaming. You will get better results just staying mid farming and taking plates if you have the lead.

I had a game where I pushed bot lane from tier 2 tower and ended the game with the enemy team responding with 1 person (Yone) for me to kill as (Malz) and that person was 5/8/6 level 15 with 133 cs. I have 218 cs, 11/5/2 level 17. he got 1 shot and I tell my top to TP and we finish it so fast while enemy team still in mid waiting for the wave! to tower dive xDD So FUNNY how this is low elo #Sleepingteam.

i implemented what you called in this video and what happens is - i get my lead, i keep my lead, enemy team gets fed and i lose 1v5 because my team gets killed in those idiotic fights.
Okay so probably a bad question but I'll shoot anyway just for confirmation, if I'm on support, and I go like 1/7/25 for example, is it still bad to die this much if I save teammates or create positive trades/help take objectives?

wasting cs is a common problem and one that lowkey kinda tilts me as well. i've had low elo junglers tell me that taking mid wave (when it's 6-7 minions + cannon) is worth less than their raptors. generally, low elo does things wrong 90% of the time.

Even assuming that I might have been wrong there, it's still a no-go to threaten your team like this.
Other times I actively push the lane even with the laner just a few seconds behind me, and I immediately go to drake and pinging for asist. What does cpt smartypants do? Help drake? Of course not. He stands in his pushed lane, does basically nothing and types angry messages in chat.

Seriois tho my low elo friends use mute all it is a game changer I promise you. I'm d1 and sometimes master and I still mute all. But I always turn off chat on smurfs. It will save you so much LP. I'm very prone to tilt and very petty. I won't lie. But I wanna win xD

I’m having the problem of the team always initiating fights without me. Say I’m playing Ziggs, and I went even in lane, maybe even got a kill and some plates. By midgame, the ADC just shows up mid, essentially forcing me to go down to bot to catch waves. Shortly after, as midgame starts, the team just abandons all lanes aside from mid and tries to team fight as soon as they respawn over and over and over in the bottom jungle, typically on the enemy’s side but not always. Even if dragon is killed, jungler or support try doing cheeky things and get caught or fight, no matter what. If we have vision on enemies in the jungle on the same side, they force fights. Support tries getting more vision or the junglers tries stealing buff camp, they just stay in midlane and bottom side jungle. Knowing that, say, I’m a mage that isn’t going to make a tremendous difference (at most, turn the fight from a near guaranteed lost fight to a coin flip) because they’ve already engaged, or started running away, I end up avoiding most fights, and shove waves before recalling as the fight ends. And pretty reliably it’s a single person on the enemy team that’s getting the kills, so even if I’m funneling gold into myself, there’s somebody on the enemy team that’s racking up enough kills to beat my CS. Or, say, the enemy team has a splitpusher like Tryndamere or Fiora, I can’t contest their push as ziggs or xerath.

Typing this as he is at the mistake 2 segment and i hope he brings up a huge mistake that happens ALOT in lol elo. That would be when u have a lead if u trade even that is a losing situation for u. U may have a bounty so more gold for the enemy and if u are stronger u should NEVER take even trades. If u already can 1-shot a carry on 2-3 items u dont need the extra gold as u can already 1-shot your target. The weaker enemy on the other hand cant 1-shot there target but with u doing even trades speeds up there gold gain and now they can 1-shot your carry just becouse u did even trades when it was very mutch avoidable. EDIT: He made very good points but i still would have liked to se the "dont do even trades just for a kill when u are ahead" in there
when i win lane i snowball hard mid game get many items as a hypercarry i'm super fed and then i just keep randomly dying cuz i get caught 5v1 in bushes lmao

In theory, I know what to do in each of these situations. But in practice, I always rage out of my mind in situations where I have to play around my teammate's mistakes and just throw my lead. Honestly, maybe this game just isn't for me.

Sho Even if it didn’t give a buff, it isn’t useless as fighting for Soul or Elder often becomes important in mid / long games, and different comps benefit in different ways from early dragons as a result of playing around / denying this.
