Thank you. I learned a lot about water drops. Learned a lot about painting with watercolor. I kept saying to myself, OH that's how you do that over and over again.
Thank you so much for these videos. I’ve learned so much. Breaking it down to three lessons also helped me absorb every bit in the tutorial. I’m so happy I found you.
Thank your for your watercolor tutoring. It's really amazing, I copied all the flowers that you painted, and my grandma really loves them, so she took one home. I searched almost all flowers watercolor courses on RUclips, they are all good, but yours are the best. Thank you again for you would like to share to others.
I found your videos only a week ago and was disappointed there had been nothing new in a year. It was a nice surprise to get a notification today for this series. I was watching closely to see how the petal veins were accomplished, They magically appear around 7:40. I sure would like to see that, if you can add.
Gorgeous and you teach so well. I was self taught at watercolors until I found you and the difference between before and after doesn't even look like the same person painted it. Thank you so much for such marvelous and useful instruction!
Hi Ross, you are incredible generous and talented tutor and artist! I enjoy so much your videos of hibiscus red and this one orange. Could you upload the the white tiger lilies at some point? what about roses like your painting "August: San Diego Rose Garden". I also wonder if you show in youtube oil painting, I love your "Summer Rain: Composition 2," what flower is that? Thanks ;-D
Hi Isabel, I do plan to add demonstrations for all the flowers that you mentioned and much more. I'm also expanding my demos to include landscape paintings. In addition to this I'll be posting acrylic painting videos, but nothing on oil painting. I painted in oils until the late 1980s, but had to switch to acrylics because I became over sensitized to the solvents. Sorry! Thanks for watching my video! Ross
Hi Ross! You are a wonderful artist. Thank you so much for all your videos. I love how you take the time to explain what you are doing and why. You have helped me so much to become a better painter. Appreciate it!
Hi Heidi, Very glad that you appreciate that I take the time to explain as much as possible in detail. This is how I teach in class, and the students respond well to this approach. Thanks for watching!
Hi Kristine, I needed to take time off to prepare for a series of exhibitions, but now I'll be posting on a regular basis again. Because my videos take a significant amount of time to make, I'll probably be posting every few weeks.
Thank you for this 3 part tutorial. You have included an amazing amount of detail which has been very enlightening for me. I look forward to watching your other videos x
This video tutorial is so informative and inspiring--such beautiful work! Question: Did you use your own photo reference? Can you direct viewers to a source for similar photos?
Hi Richard, Glad that you found the video helpful. I did use my own photograph and it's available for viewing. If you go to the credits at the end of each part, I provide a web address for the source photo. Thanks for watching! Ross
I absolutely love the way your work looks and appreciate so very much you're willingness to share the techniques you use to achieve your results. I wish to some day see your work in person and meet you! Once again, beautiful job!
Hi Linda, If you go to contenti.com and search on "dispenser bottle with needle tip" you find the bottles that I've been buying lately. Good to hear that my videos are easy to follow! Thanks for watching!
Just love your tuition. I have commented on your previous part 1, Orange Hibiscus Flower. I would love to buy The Incredible Nib, but google searches come up with other tools to apply masking material. Would you be able to tell me where I could buy one? Once again thks for your fantastic knowledge & tips.
If you search ”Grafix Original Incredible Nib,” it comes right up. I buy mine at dickblick.com. The original one that comes in black can also be used to apply masking. I've even have had students dip it in ink to draw with it. Glad you like my video instruction! Thanks for watching!
All three videos in this series are not only very enjoyable but also highly useful. Thx so much for kindly sharing your wonderful talent. 🥰
