    By far the best tutorial I've seen on this exercise. Top man

    I like that low grip version. Much easier on your back if it’s prone to getting sore. And a very functional lift, considering how natural a motion it is to pick something up off the ground.

    Excellent. I had never heard of the low grip landmine squat before. I can't wait to try it on my next leg day. Thank you boys.

    spent the last 2 years trying to get my glutes firing well... mainly on left side.. was near impossible. . I think partly due to left leg longer.. and my spinal erector being very over developed especially on left side to due to my job.
    The video on the frog thrust. (whatever it's called ) I found VERY good on getting glutes firing.. especially left.. for once.. (trainers off as well can control better ) frog thrusts and straight into goblet squats are very effective. .
    ive suffered alot with low back pain for due to weak glutes! !

    Have you ever dropped it when popping up the bar? The more weight I load on, the more afraid I am of dropping that on my feet when first popping the weight up

    • @John-ob7dh
      @John-ob7dh 4 года назад

      Why don't you out the bar on a bench or stool about waist high before you lift it.its safer.

    How the hell you all unload from this position? I can't find a particularly natural or safe way to unload when going heavy on this squat.

      put the weights onto a bench and take it off from the bottom position of the movement. Look up lumberjack landmine squats

    How is the bar staying stable on the other end? Do you have some device holding it?

    • @shapeshiftah
      @shapeshiftah 6 лет назад +1

      He's using a landmine attachment to secure the other end.

    • @robertgity88
      @robertgity88 5 лет назад +2

      If you don't have a landmine attachment you can just stick the other end of the bar in a corner

    I prefer the second version because it doesn't put load on your spine. It's better to use smaller plates so they don't hit the floor.

    • @robhaunui3343
      @robhaunui3343 5 лет назад +1

      Simpler method is to stand on two boxes,as with smaller plates,the more weight you add,they get closer to the end of the bar,using the bigger plates,you're able to add the weight without the lack of space on the bar - that is why I use boxes.

    у меня нет силовой рамы дома, попробовал без нее закинуть штангу на плечи, чуть не сломался, долго думал, и сам интуитивно догадался еще до просмотра данного видео, делать упражнения на ноги, как показано на видео, но разница была лишь в том, что штанга у меня была между ног, для новичка так проще начинать.!!!

    its too uncomfortable and there is risk of barbell slipping onto your chest and getting injured. And the way you held the barbell tip is too uncomfortable and there is chance of barbell slipping from your hand and slipping onto your chest. Its better to hold the bar the other way even though its not symmetrical to hold it in a secure way. It has happened to one of my younger brothers as his hands were too sweaty. Barbell squat it is far simple comfortable and effective than land mine squat. Landmine squat is pain in the ass.
