You need to set your auction start price so it includes what you paid, packing costs, whatnot fees, lowest amount of profit, etc. That way you won’t lose money.
I follow several people on whatnot and it seems they think the time you have your sale matters. One who has a big following had a clothes sale in the middle of the day and she said never again not enough people watched, and low prices. The other has most sales Sunday after dinner when people are relaxing getting ready for the week. Maybe Friday night especially during the summer people have other things to do?
Whatnot is a popularity contest but I keep selling on it and I don’t even know why lol I’ve spent thousands of dollars on there it’s addictive so be careful

Unfortunately it feels more like yard sale prices are wanted on whatnot. Otherwise interest isn’t there.
