I love your interaction, and your drive ! My husband and I used to have that same drive. We had all kinds of "side hustles" in the 41 years of our marriage. When he died 17 years ago, I haven't been motivated to do that anymore, but I really enjoy watching your show. Keep up the good work !!!

As a buyer on whatnot, it’s definitely a platform where I want things for super cheap for myself or to resell. I enjoy watching the storage unit ones since there’s a bit of everything.
    Congrats on your new baby!

I think you need bigger sizes. Small or extra small is not good. Young folks like big clothing, baggie almost falling off better than tight or fitting.
Also, I think for a new seller sudden death is a killer on your chance to increase the bids. People are afraid to bid on sudden death. Once you have a big following try sudden death again.
Also, pictures and listing items helps to sell so people know what you have and prepare to bid on those items.
Please watch Treasure Hunting with Jebus. He and his wife Amber are so organized and make big sells on storage units (used stuff making more money than your new stuff and they get a lot of large and extra large sizes). Best of luck...we are rooting for you!

Thanks guys! I sell plants and I had a great success. I move 70+ plants 🪴 each show. I have to take a break because I got overwhelmed with packaging and also I still have to run my small business/ online store. Local businesses.
But I am trying to get back again. But I noticed that lot more seller than since I first started. I always watch other seller and people are paying $1 for a plant.
Wish me luck on getting back!!

I go to goodwill on Sundays they have tags with certain colors where the item is 89 cents. Sell under vintage clothing. You can easily make 10 times your money. Men's jeans sell the best and Nike shirts

I've had two shows. I have one today, and it will probably be the last of this type because I have almost sold out. I have been selling antique music sheets, I had well over 100 of them. I have definitely doubled my money so far. Will be staying in the vintage/antique category.

We’ve been dipping our toes into clothing on whatnot is what I’ve found is that we have to start the items at the minimum we’d like to make and run items at 15 seconds so that we can run at least 3 items per minute. I’ve found clothing is about volume and constantly having Piece running as people pop in and out. We also do electronics so I feel your pain with the shipping 😅

I think y’all would have done better with clothes if yall would have bought a target pallet. It’s an every person instead of a specific audience. If you find a Nike or Disney pallet it’s a much better pallet

🖐️ High Fives to you both on such a transparent video- I just can not bring myself to try WN because I know unless u have a huge social following the beginning is very painful….and also it seems to be mostly a reseller buying base so stuff mostly sells cheap. In my experience you need to have a knowledge base on brands and what’s worth picking up so a retailers reject pallet on low recognition brands would be such a bad idea. Thank you for sharing your experience

In the back end when your doing the shipping orders you cand see what they paid - I will say its cheaper then what I would pay to ship through paypal. It can be confusing . simple 1st 5 lbs $8.35 - after that another $8.35 but people need to understand if your getting cheaper (the item) then shipping should be understood . My issue is ASP is too low.

  • @PatDees

I been selling on whatnot the last year with really pushing the last 4 months - its a grind . Having a following that you can leverage from social media does help. But typically most stuff is 50% cheaper on whatnot - yeah I sold toys and donated the money to buy more toys for tots. Small items and better when it comes to shipping and not losing money on shipping. I have made some videos about this. enjoying your video .

getting pallets right away was not a great way to get inventory. Going to the goodwill bins or going to yard sales and things like that will get you cost of goods which helps a lot. Larger sizes important. just because a brand is "good" or higher value it mean every item will sell for a good profit. Size, style, of clothing items are factors that are going to matter and not just the brand.

I think you need more followers bidding. It’s going to take time to build up enough people. More marketing your sales? For clothing, Poshmark or a similar venue for reselling clothes seems better?
I bought 2 electrical things from you your last sale, shipment was good…price was reasonable-I’m super happy with my purchase! Praying God blesses you for all your hard work!

It only goes by weight only. You don’t need to worry about the 12x12x12 unless you are going flat rate. I never use flat rate. I only put each item in at a min of 1lb because anything under 1lb will be ground. I sell plants tho so I don’t want ground. Again you only have to worry about weight. It’s like FB marketplace.

What do you tell potential buyers (particularly on sites like eBay or FB Marketplace) when they ask where you got something or why you're selling? I've had people ask "Why don't you just return it to the store?" I don't know if I should tell them I'm reselling from a return auction because then they may lowball me or just want to do the same themselves.

Stay Away From Whatnot is my advice. Bad for buyers and sellers. Changing clasps to different designers, sourcing from Temu, adding new "vintage looking" pieces in with supposed estate lots. Items arriving broken or not at all. I try not to get WN involved in those cases but when the sellers encourage me to, I receive a full refund...not just on 1 piece, but the whole order. Then the sellers hate you! Sellers buying back and forth from each other. It's an expensive social event. Wanted to support women owned businesses, but I'm done. Overpriced everything you can buy on eBay with a guarantee for much less. I should do a psa. Dogs barking, cats and kids sitting on display tables...it's a hot mess.
