It was Jimmy's band. He recruited the others. He was the guitar man with the initial ideas. He drove the music and the band. That's what he's saying but in a subtle way so it doesn't seem disrespectful to the others.

He's also saying he'll talk about the music but he's not keen to talk about the creation of the lyrics, as at that time they took a lot of them from old blues numbers, and later got sued for not crediting or not sufficiently crediting the original creators.

Does Jimmy hate interviews or something? He seems so angry every time people ask him anything really. No smiles, just that clenched jaw, firing back 'What do you mean!?' and stuff... Respect to the man, but christ wear a smile once in a while :O

You don't seem very familiar with Mr. Page. One of the things he's known for IS his smile. He's gracious to a fault. He just gets a tad bit tired of answering the same old, non-insightful questions. OK 'MAD DEK'... grow a pair of balls and use your real first and last name you useless waste of oxygen.

The first albums of LZ were so heavily criticised in the music press that Page probably still has a distrust of music journalists asking him about them.

@@Vinylcommunity89 He's private about personal things, but he seems open to talking about his music, normally. Maybe the overall tone of the interview annoyed him or the interviewer. This is only a small clip of the interview.

Well first you lift stuff from Howling wolf, and Willie Dixon, throw in some Albert King and completely steal from Small Faces, Steve Marriot, get the law suits settled out of court so as it doesn't look like your guilty, then you're on your way son. And that's just " Whole lotta love "..

All of the old blues musicians borrowed from each other and covered each other. Zeppelin did the same thing. It's still great, all water under the bridge.

So it's fine for the Small Faces to borrow from Willie Dixon, but Zeppelin can't? Moron.

Take away some of lyrics that were used from other songs...and Led Zeppelin II would still be great. Steve Marriott and Small Faces "ripped off" those lyrics first...so why didn't Willie Dixon sue them? Oh yeah...they didn't have any money.
