- If I could only own five albums, Led Zeppelin II would be one of them. It’s not my favourite record, but it’s certainly up there.

Found my original copy in the basement. Still sealed!
When Led Zeppelin II was released, Atlantic Records offices were on Broadway. In the early seventies, Warner Bros. bought Atlantic. The coverers were always printed seperately. so there are editions of Atlantic releases that have the Broadway address on the cover and the Rockefeller Center address on the labels. Manly because they had more covers than records and when they did the next press run, they stuck the new pressings inside jackets that were printed in 1969. This was corrected by the early eighties and by then the address matched on both the reprint covers and reprinted records. Also, the original run of II was in a matte cover the glossy covers were probably reprinted before the sale.
Hi Bognar - so grateful for your information - sorry I have been offline for a VERY long time, so only just had a chance to respond. Cheers!
Brilliant, I once heard it said that if you don’t have Led Zeppelin 2 in your record collection your not worth talking to.
my brother thought he lost my led zeppelin 2 album so he bought me a new one back in the 70s. from licorice pizza Hollywood. I did find the original and still have the one he bought, never opened it
with the licorice pizza price tag on it. the cost was like 4 dollars.
I can confirm that the cover is the one that corresponds to the disc. I have exactly the same copy, the address inside the gatefold is different from the address on the disc and on the inner sleeve. This 1977 copy is a Georges Piros master ('at GP' in the runouts), and sounds really really good !
I'm sure you've heard this before but you sound exactly like Pete Townshend!
Led Zeppelin ll original catalog no was SD 8236 with 1841 Broadway labels.
You have a late 1970's reissue, with a different catalog number and by that
time they changed the label address as well. Also the original album covers
were a matt dark brown.
My first copy had marks from that rivet on the third album.
I have an American first pressing of this album and it sounds better than the digital re-issued LP. Great video!
do you have the ludwig pressing?
Eddie Kramer, produced the album. The same
Gentleman who worked with Jimi Hendrix.
I agree with you on that.
great video !!!! i start playing my ( RL ) bob ludwig version right after the video .. ;-)
SKATAN Thanks!
I own the U.S. pressing
original gate fold cover.
Such a great album. Love that plum label. I love my RL Hot Mix version. Sooo good
The A5/B4 pressings are incredible! Whole Lotta Love especially has mindblowing sonics! I lucked out on a nr mnt copy recently for a princely £20
Great Video my Friend, I'm very very new at the record collecting and I was at one of our big local record shops called Record Heaven and was looking to buy the brand new re-issue of Led Zeppelin II and in the used area I found a used version of it and it was only 3 dollars 💵 less than the brand new re-issue, the used record when I pulled it from its sleeve looked almost new, with no superficial scratches on it at all so I went with the used one, and it sounds great. The cover is also in very good shape with no ring wear on it at all. Its got number SD 8236 on it. How do you know what pressing it is? Love the album, absolutely brilliant 👏.
Good video Thanks
Make some more of these!
Hi, Just a little inside Info on these RL's. The (SP) Pressings Specialty Plastics are the Hottest of Masterings with the result being the "narrowest" of Side 2 Deadwax. These are overlooked in favor of the PR and MO (Presswell and Monarch) Pressings. The SP HAS rl/ss on BOTH Sides as well and You can Buy These for about One-Half as Much as the Other Pressings. Why This is Puzzles Me.Anyone Else have any thoughts on these "Overlooked" DEALS?
Peter Marchesi the CTH sounds great!
The Bob Ludwig pressings were a hotter mix but made cheap turntables skip so only 200,000 were pressed so those are rare.
Should have a RL and 1841 address on the label and SD8236 on the cover
Great gear also! Could you tell me what amp and speakers are those?
And please I want to ask it :
Sounds better the USA Pressing than UK or both are similar? Thanks
Is Led Zeppelin Two or Led Zeppelin Second?
I have a french plum label
You have a re-issue. They changed the address and the prefix.
Originals are SD 8236 and 1841 Broadway New York on the labels.
The quality of re-issues is not as good as the originals
Q: Would you rather have a copy of a Picasso or a real Picasso?
Chris Rees, It's a UK Polydor issue. They used a different catalogue number, with no prefix.
Nothing sounds better then a C D: love the hiss at the end of each track better then skips and pop sounds.
HELL NO
Some cds are good but they don't have the magic of vinyl
NO HE ENTENDIDO NADA.
jajajaque bueno
