Yey! Brick Brick Brick is back! Great video mate, looks like a lot more additional lights that the standard set. The connector strip under the bed is a right pain!
Yeah, it can make the bed a little wonky... either put the extra 1x1 under each foot or do a better job than I did of laying the cables 😂 I expect to be back more and more once I have a faster computer. The editing on my poo laptop is what makes me not bother with videos at the moment. 😂
This looks amazing. Are the wires all.over the place making it hard for a kid to play with the set? I'd love to light mine if i ever buy the set but wonder if my son wouldnt be able to play with it without breaking cables.
They are well hidden to an extent. With this one you can still split the levels of the build unlike other modular kits. The cables are robust but could become loose if heavy handled
Hey, isn't the music annoying after a while? Can you only control the lights? I think if you have version without music you can there control the lights on each floor separately. What are the light settings in this version? Thank you.
Hi, mine is the standard version, but the remote and sound version of that... I believe the only difference in the Christmas edition upgrade is the window lights. 🤷♂️
Looks sick with lights I’ve already built mine so I can’t be arsed getting lights to take it all apart cus it won’t go back to together how it should 🤣
😂 It's not too much taking apart 😂😂😂 This was my first kit... I just installed the Titanic ones that was a big task. The only set I had trouble with the parts going back correctly is the stranger things one that was horrid because it was pushing against big parts held by single studs 😬
@@BrickMcBricksworth lol thanks for letting me know I might give it a go then and get it sorted for Christmas time lol have you got a video of the stranger things Lego?
Does this set still allow the a house to be modular? Can it still come apart without the wires holding it together? Similar to the Light My Bricks set? Thanks.
Hey Tyler, Yes, the roof and second floor can come away. There are copper contacts that connect the circuit back up when you place them together 👍. As for power, it has a usb cable, so either a 5V or less adaptor (iPhone charger laptop, etc). Or the battery pack provided.
@@BrickMcBricksworth thank you so much. One last question. What about the kitchen area and basement. Can they come apart as well? Do they have the copper contacts? Thanks for replying.
Great review! I'm just starting to install the kit. Is it possible to lighten up only the house, without adding lights to the van and Kevin's tree house?
Hi, thanks for watching. You can leave the other parts off no problem. Just leave them off the main circuit board at the end. If you end up putting it a city layout like I have done you can also plug in other lights to the spare ports and the kit will light those too. Just if you have the sound version it would be a bit weird if you had van sounds when lighting an xmas tree for instance... 😂
Hi, I just wondered, do the lights come on (on the last settings) if I hooked the mains unit up to a smart plug to automate to turn on and off certain times each day? Or with the remote version, once turned off does it *require* the power button to be pressed to turn it back on once power is added? Hope that makes sense Also is it possible to just have the lights on with no sound?
I don't know the ins and outs on if it was on a smart plug. But when you turn on at the mains the lights go into the first full on mode with sound... if you don't want that as a default just don't hook up the sound. If you do it manually each time you turn on though to get lights on but no sound prass buttons 1to8 on the remote it will cucle through some sounds but once it does one it will just be the lights on then.
Hi I've just purchased the light and sound Christmas edition light set for home alone house it says it comes with a speaker is this right as I just got the remote etc? Thank u 😊
Everything you need to light the house comes in the light kit from Game of bricks. I suggest using the USB rather than the battery box. It works better 👍
Hi!! I have the Santa’s sleigh and want to copy you 😅, and put it on the top of the Home alone House. Where did you find those transparent plastic supports? Thanks in advance!! (By the way it was a great video!!)
Hi, thanks! I got them from my local Lego store pick a brick wall. They don't always have them, so every time they do I pick up a load. They are awesome for raising display pieces and using on super hero flight minifigs.
Hi! In Portugal I only found in Blue (transparent) . But then I thought that maybe I could leave it (the Santa Claus car) on the top of the house 😂. I’m in London today. Maybe I’ll find the transparent pieces here. Thanks for asking 😊.
Can that sleigh stay on top of the house or is it too long or wide? I love the touch but probably wouldn't use the clear mounts since my 4 year old would prob mess it up.
Hey, your sets look great. I've got the Christmas edition and then got the remote additionally sent after I saw your video. I can't find the instructions of where to put the additional lights that are included with this. Do you know where I can find these?
Hey Chris, When I installed mine, the extras were actually after the original had finished like they just slapped them in at the bottom and couldn't be bothered to edit them in 😂
I have one question I just bought this from another company called kyglaring same thing and I didn't get everything bag one was missing some wires and the bags were labeled with a red dot with a number and white dot and yellow I returned it to Amazon if I buy this one from game of bricks how do I know I am getting everything with it?
Anyone know what cable has to be used to light the set up? (There's 2 slots for a cable to plug into) I'm struggling to get mine to light up. Got my lights and sound kit from game of bricks and they haven't answered me other than the instructions that didn't answer my question..
After seeing this review and setting up my homealone set I got myself the light kit too. However, I just can’t seem to find the online instructions. Any help?
Hey Korey use this link to the Game Of Bricks Instructions page instructions.gameofbricks.eu/ Just type in the set number and have fun installing them 👍
There is... But I placed them in one by one with what light went to the sound ie. Using the numbers on the remote for the van sound and matching that to the one that turns the van lights on etc. I just used trial and error because as I remember the instructions wern't super clear on this part.
So I should build the set first THEN add the lights and not try to add the lighting while building. I may be overthinking this while I look at the Lego book and the lighting steps 😅
Yeah it is off. But I think if it was full scale it would be double the price... I have seen MOC's of it using two sets which looks more like the real house for sure. 👍
After having this set a few months I realised if you do the sequence in a particular order it does mess up... I just play with it until that stops now 😂👍
beautiful set, beutiful sound and light kit. awesome
Agree totally! It's all amazing. 😁👍
This is amazing I will get it before Christmas thank you
I believe there is a better version now. This is one of the first ones they did for this set 👍
Can I ask what you’re using to support the sleigh on top of the roof of the house?
