Mahler s music is absolutely Heavenly
I would have loved so much to attend to this…
Historic colourised footage of a young Shostakovich conducting Mahler
Spectacular! The coughing though…😳
The concert is not any more available on MEDICI. I quit my stream after one month.
I thought it was illegal for him to conduct after the Sibelius cycle
Sounds a lil sus to me
Another prodigy child 😂
How can you make one of the most incredible openings to any movement ever so dull and uninteresting?!
Another giant vanity production
The opening is already so tame. Why can't a rising young conductor like him focus on less overplayed warhorses and classical contemporary music instead?
maybe he enjoys conducting the "overplayed warhorses" more than the little piddly "perfect" 3 minute pieces of noise.
Obviously you do you, I don't care what you listen to or enjoy or have an opinion on, but I don't see any reason why he shouldn't be conducting mahler.
Contemporary music is going too much. Until Messiaen it was very good but after him, contemporary music has become nothing but a noise.
@@aceplayerMusic There's always lesser known works to play like Mendelssohn, Prokofiev symphonies, the many hundred symphonies by Haydn etc. It's getting tired seeing the same Mahler symphonies getting played by all major conductors which sounds the same and offer nothing new
Well I can listen to Mahler any times any day, each time touches me anew.
