They originally call it a jelly mold I think, but they do just fall into calling it Jello. Part of the problem with genericization is the original brand still exists. We call it Jello cups even when the product says gelatin.
Given what we know about prewar 'science' shenanigans would any of us eat any food that was made before the bombs fell? I'd rather eat raw radroach meat. At least I know what I'm getting into.
Personally in my case my grandma didn't make Gelatin Cake (to my knowledge anyway.) But in her case she made jello salad, I didn't care for it but my grandpa did.
I got a perfect pie first try in fallout 4. Then i got into a fight with some raiders (they had power armor and fat mans) and got blown to pieces. Then i loaded back in, but the pie wasn't in my inventory but instead in the machine. I've never gotten one since.
@@ToiletEploder712 real life????? just look it up how have you not heard of this before but apparently ig in fallout its made of kelp the above person said
Why is the lack of perfectly preserved pie disappointing? I didn’t expect it since it was only introduced in 4 and I figured it was a northern east coast promotional thing. I guess it’s not though?
Which makes me imagine raiders who can make gourmet food out off wasteland ingredients. Those people are probably the most protected follow by those with technical skills.
my family still uses my grandma's jello cake recipe from the 60's for birthdays and gatherings and whatnot. Never eat it though cuz the textures of cake and jello don't mix too well
Gelatin is made outta bones. It makes plenty of sense as flour, sugar, eggs, butter, milk etc becomes more of a rarity a substitute would emerge. Gelatin is the easiest because everyone has bones. I also imagine everything in a vault is recycled or reused. So it all checks out
Something that bothered me about fallout is that there is no printer ink and fallout, and somehow the NCR is able to print colored posters 200 years after the war.
next you'll tell me that Kleenex exists
erm its not actually Jell-O, it's fruit-flavoured gelatinous desert
btw it wasnt norms idea to give the jello, he actually hates the prisoners and wanted to let them die.

I just wish there was pizza😢
I think the Jell-o addition was actually really cool, given how popular it actually was in the 1950’s.
There's always room for Jell-o.
get that jelly mold out of here 🗣️🗣️
Gelatin cake was a real thing from around the 50s. It was actually a very fancy dessert and they made some VERY crazy ones.
Jell-O with green vegetables inside or cubes of ham or both 😳
@@mikedawolf95 both like would legitimately suggest looking into them.its really fascinating.
