Literally so insane that Eric Barone made this game by himself. I read that he worked 12 hour days, 7 days a week for 4 years….just incredible, and a testament to what hard work and dedication can accomplish.
He worked a job outside the game that took those hours up and still made it or he spent that amount of time creating it? Either way insanely impressive.
Most of that time had to have been learning time. A veteran game developer could probably crank out a game of this quality (minus some charm maybe) in a fraction of the time. The foundation of the game and a playable demo could probably be made in a 7 day game jam, and the rest of the game could be built up from there. Characters went through a lot of revisions and I feel like most of that revision time could have been saved with a more efficient workflow. Still though. I got suggested this video because I'm an aspiring game dev and I couldn't imagine working 12/7/365 for 4 years on a single project, and I also doubt I'll ever publish a finished product half as good as Stardew Valley.
I wish there were more artists like that in the world. I want to see the best movies, listen to the best music, and play the best games. The culture nowadays really doesn't support or foster those kinds of artists.. :((
yeah animal crossing villagers seem to just say the same kinds of stuff, they never change or anything. I'm 3 years into another playthrough in stardew and I think I haven't heard many (if not none at all) repeated lines from the villagers. since their range of dialogue increases the more close you get to them it isn't repetitive, and actually feels natural and not just like a robot saying the same few lines over and over
This is so easy to play when you have a kid. I love it so much. I have a baby (I’m a SAHM) and I can easily play this on the switch with no stress while she breastfeeds/sleeps in my arms.
Honestly, the ease of looking up information your character knows is sooooo important for enjoying the game. Most games like this require you to remember how much an item costs or how many days to water with that information being hidden away at the shop only.
No Joke: Before i played this game i never knew how much i missed the old Harvest Moon. What Eric B. did is wounderfoul. He has shown what one person can do with pasion. Now this is the No. 1 Farming game for me. I bought this game on all my avilable plattforms. (digital & Physical). Ps.: Sorry for my bad writing :)
I played Harvest Moon 64 on my phone with an emulator. It was great. HM 64 is my favorite of the Harvest Moon games I've played, though I haven't played the NES one yet.
Harvey is hands down my favorite bachelor. This is also probably partly because I have a thing for doctors but hey, don't hold that against me. He's by far the most stable. He's the town doctor, he's sweet, kind, respectful, and is a great help on the farm. He also faces his fear of heights in order to take you on one of the most memorable dates in the game. A true romantic. He's also the one who takes care of you when you're attacked and faint in the mines. It also doesn't hurt that some of his favorite things like wine and pickles are some of my real life favorites as well lmao. I love this game so much. It has brought me so much joy. Sometimes I wish I could live there, or at the very least forget I've played it so I can discover it all over again.
I really want more older options, heck I wanted to have Linus set his tent up in my farm. I kinda hoped there would be a divorce option for married couples, Robin would be nice, Kent has the chiseled looks, why not?
Yes! Harvey is great. His heart events are adorable and I plan to marry him with my current farmer. Or at least the first bachelor to marry, because I'm probably gonna use mods to marry/date Shane next.
Stardew has made me want to grow land of my own and now I'm growing small things, I hope we move out of this apartment and get land like we had in a yard one day, because this story Is starting to hit closer and closer each day, "There will come a time when the weight of the world becomes to much and you feel your spirit crushed", every time I read that I just want to live my characters world to work land daily and in peace. We need communities again this game taught me, now it's strange to know the person living next to you but there was a time I remember you could walk next-door and say hi, now being older I miss those days more than anything, and feel sad I never could fully enjoy their existence in a sea of a violent marriage and and divorce.
As a farmer I can tell you that it's not all its made out to be. It's hard work and the money is awful. Unless you're a big corporate farm you can't make a living out of it. But it is honest and if you enjoy it then it can bring you some sort of peace and structure.
From a design standpoint, one thing that sets Stardew apart from other farming sims is that huge first map and the level of customization available. It gives the player a sense of possibility throughout the whole experience. Other farming sims seem to miss this, and it's why Stardew does so much better.
Really no Leah fans out here? She is elusive af but she's got a wholesome story/cutscenes. Leaves a city and a semi douchey boy friend to pursue a simple life working on her art in the country side. Just wish you could get her more integrated into the town in late game with maybe a studio or something. Still occasionally playing, just a great game.
I absolutely love Leah as a character. She is probably one of my favorite characters up there with Abby. Plus, mods turn her into a cute fox girl so it's a win in my book. XD
I currently have around 130+ hours on a single save in stardew valley, and most of those hours have been played this year. I know no-one wants to hear a random dude's sob story but I was really struggling with college and deadlines around February, and decided to pick up my old save from 2017, that had about 20 hours to it's name. It was horribly played, since I was a noob back them whose only goal was to romance Elliott (yes, Elliott of all bachelors). After a season or two in the game (and a lot of help from the wiki) I whipped it into shape, left Elliott at 6 hearts and went after Sebastian. But I started to realise (a little too late since by that time I was already married to him) that I didn't want a relationship with Sebastian. I WAS Sebastian. I had the same problems and fears and stardew valley made me realise that I can still make something out of my dull, repetitive life after I had dropped out of college for mental health. Even with that life changing revelation, Sebastian still isn't my favourite part of this game. Oh, it gets way better than that. I'm talking about the music. It astonishes me every day I load up the game that just one guy and a whole lot of passion was able to create some of my favourite ost tracks ever made. Screw that, my favourite songs in general. I can't be the only person who actually cries when it's reaching the end of summer, and your character is standing on the boardwalks surrounded by the townsfolk, and the ocean is dark and unmoving until you see the first few moonlight jellies. And the song starts to play. I'm on year 4 of this save, and every time the dance of the moonlight jellies has never failed to make me tear up. (Also watch Eric barones cover of it on his RUclips channel it's the most wholesome thing ever) The single best thing about this game for me is Winter (The Wind Can Be Still). It's a miracle that such a song has been created that I can listen to whenever I want. It's so good that I feel like I shouldn't be allowed to hear it. It truly shows that lyrics are not needed to tell a beautiful story. Stardew valley is my favourite game. Idk how to end this comment lmao
This game sucked up all my free time for about a month or so back in 2016 after it released. I haven't been able to get back into it since, but I still fondly recall the game/soundtrack and its one of the top games I've played. Now Valheim holds a similar spot.
I love Stardew Valley but I love how a wholesome AF farming game can spark a “War of the Waifus” I chose Penny and I always choose Penny, my classmate chose Hayley and called my waifu trailer trash, my work colleague played multiplayer where everyone was fighting to romance Abigail and my friend chose Shane because “he’s a baddie”.
I ended up choosing Penny too. I thought i was into the goth at first (like every nerd is), but I finally accepted that I just want a sincere, trad gf. It was a tough call though between her and Emily. In the end, I realized I couldn't do Clint ugly like that, so Penny it was.
I'm proud to say that I went and 100% completed the game not because I want to but because I needed to. Though I may say it is not a perfect game but it truly is a masterpiece.
I don’t know if he’s the _best_ , but i romanced Shane. He’s such a complex character and I love the dialogue he has later on in your friendship/romance. also... blue chickens.
I prefer Shane over the others coz his issue were very timely esp in this pandemic. People have been getting depressed and down for variety of reasons, and I feel like making Shane happy, you just saved a life. Mushy, eh? Yeah, I know. I'll keep sending Shane pizza lol (And him sending me letters with Pepper Poppers which he took from Joja's backroom makes me ecstaticly happy haha)
I love stardew valley because i can play it with my friends or by myself when I'm feeling anti-social. It's one of those games that you could never really get bored of.
I love Stardew for allowing me to cope with anxiety and stress. Sometimes I get the feeling that games are "just a waste of time", competitive ones make me upset and so on, but.. not Stardew. It's something I always find to be relaxing. All the lengthy process is worth your effort, the game is just so peaceful and calming with its music, graphics, gameplay. I just can't get bored with it somehow, even though I currently have over 150h on record. It's just satisfying to me to max everything out. I can play it for hours a day, get excited, emotional... which is hard for me. I just love how it makes me feel
Personally I typically go for Leah, you both came to pelican town from big cities to escape and start your life anew, so there's already a similar history to build off of. She's always friendly, passionate about her art, which again has similarities to your story as a return to nature/simpler life. Plus she loves wine.
160 hours on Switch and 100 on Steam, y’know this game is truly something. When you start out it’s just so simple and calm but you get past like year three, you have to manage a greenhouse, fields, coops, farms, and then if you have time mingle with the town folks (don’t let their hearts go down because you don’t talk to them!). But later on you make every automated and it feels rewarding.
I have almost 300 hours of stardew valley and even though I have completed the game several times there are still many things I have not done and this makes the experience even better. By far this is my favorite game.
Okay so the first time I played Stardew, I was immediately drawn to Alex. He doesn't have a complicated background but I could relate to him so much, about his fears and his feelings of loss. So I admit that I haven't really tried romancing the other villagers... whenever I open a new save, I just go straight for him. And I've been playing this game for 5 years now.
For my, it's the vibe. The world the game depicts. Everything is clean, pure, colorful, natural. People enjoy life as simple as it is. This game gives me some feeling I can't find the word.
personally emily forever shes sweet she loves animals she treats everyone as a friend and has blue hair! and her cutscenes are super wacky and i love them
This game has been getting me through college. When I’m super stressed, I just turn on my game and escape into my super aesthetic little farm and live the good life. It’s almost like it reminds me why I work hard: so I can have my own perfect little “farm” in the real world. I’m not a gamer, but this game is such a blessing to my sanity, I’ve even been known to sit in class and play with one hand and take notes in the other, I’m now on a profs dislike list. But that’s not the point, it’s such an incredible and beautiful game that I can’t help but be obsessed
if i’m being honest, i don’t play many video games but stardew valley is absolutely an exception. this game holds such a special place in my heart and quite literally kept me sane throughout 2020 when i was stuck in my parent’s house during quarantine. literally the best thing to do after a busy day is coming home, cranking some tunes, and playing an hour of stardew valley
I've only started my first save of this game, and it's made me realize that I could probably live this type of country life. Like sure, the work will be heavy, but it will help me in the long run because I'm the most happy when I've done something productive.
I work on a farm and I ached for the first year it’s pretty hard physical work…sure beats office work though. You become more in touch with nature and the seasons, it’s wonderful! I hope you do find a country life somewhere x
i'm on my first playthrough and i married elliott! i've always been a fan of the princely men with long flowing hair :') but what really made me like him was the fact that he was an optimistic writer trying to keep some spark of his youthful dreams alive, despite everyone around him telling him it wasn't feasible, to give up, etc. as someone who had to give up their dream of writing for a more "realistic" and "stable" career, something about that really spoke to me. i guess it's like a self insert that goes both ways, me wanting to support the writer chasing their dreams and the alternate reality where i marry a rich farmer that would let me pursue said dream, LMAO :')
Currently I'm romancing Penny, the really sweet tutor. All her cutscenes so far have been really sweet, and i really want to get to marry her so i can get her out of that horrible trailer she's living in with her mother.
The first time that I watched a play through of stardew valley I literally fell in love with it. It's not only a game for me but it's also helps me calm my anxiety. So it's the best game for me ever
I've played Stardew Valley a lot in the first few years (after it was released) and already know about everything you just explained, but this was such a good video to watch! Like - very satisfying because it's so informative and easy to follow because you explain so nicely.
when you said a game almost has zero bug tbf the game is not like that when it first started...the game had lots of bug but with the help of community ConcernedApe being an open minded dev who listen to the community made the game so much better
Love me some SDV, I have about 200 hours of play, but I don't find it relaxing as other people say, I don't play games to relax, I relax with beer and music. I find it stimulant, fun, a little stressful, all of which are characteristics that a game should have to not be dull and lame.
I never went back to Vanilla after using the Expanded mod. Best part is the Grampleton Chicken. The only actual meat in a vegatarian game. Not some shody all veggie Survival Burger or that horrendous Bug Steak. _"Finally! Some f#&$in' food!"_
There is no studio, there's just Eric Barone, (AKA Concerned Ape). He not only did all of the programming, he did all the art and even the music. He did have another company port it over to XBox, PlayStation, etc. but beyond that, He stayed invested in it over the years and not only kept fixing bugs but kept adding free content. He added multiplayer, then later added split screen and with the last big update, (1.5), he added a whole new island along with tons of other content. ALL FOR FREE! The original $15 is the best value I've ever gotten from a game.
i like alex. he's the only once i've married in all of my playthroughs, modded or not. i started off liking him based on his looks but his personality and backstory was the final nail in the coffin for me.
@@mehchocolate1257 option 1: there's a road north of your farm. Maybe you need to clear blocking wood/grass if you can't see it. Just follow that road and you'll see a big house 2. There's a road east of the community center. Follow that and same way you'll end up at the mountains/Robin's house
I can't wait for Haunted Chocolatier. Stardew is a masterpiece and I know his next game will be the same way. Stardew is like coming home everytime I play it. I don't play it constantly but I do go through stents where it is the ONLY game I play for weeks at a time. I recently reached Perfection and it was the happiest a game has ever made me. I felt so accomplished and it was on my longest save (with over 300 hours on it). I have Stardew Valley stickers all over my pc, including 3 of my lovely wife Emily. So sitting at the summit with her after so many hours of enjoying and loving the game was easily one of my favorite moments I've ever had in a game. I have over 400 hours in the game but 300 of them are in that single original first save I had in the game. I played the game for the first time on a stream and I have so many fond memories of discovering things for the first time with some of my chat and of playing it off stream. Emily is like my idle woman. Linus is my best friend everytime I play the game. I cried on stream as I learned Shane's story as someone who has struggled with depression for 7 years. I refused to give Lewis his shorts for years because he's a grown ass man who can go pick up his boxers from his girlfriend his own damn self (literally had a 20 minute rant about that when I discovered the quest was to get his boxers back and not a pair of "shorts"). I can go on and on and on. I've never even payed a single mod and I've barely played it with any friends. I've literally just loved the world for over 400 hours. This game is my go to when I am going through things in real life.... but it is also just where I got when I want that warm fuzzy feeling in my heart that this game provides.
The game really appeals to me mostly because of how many ways you can play and the social and economical impacts you can have on the town, also the fact that it’s still evolving and I haven’t even discovered everything the game has to offer, but most of all I just love how relaxing and fun this game is, there’s not enough games nowadays that really show appreciation to having fun and or enjoying the game rather than just trying to win and win only
I just started playing this game on my ps4 yesterday and I wanted to learn more so I came across a 100 days in Stardew Valley vid on here and it made me feel like I needed to restart my world and do it better. I wanted to learn more so I explored more vids and found this one. You put it so nicely by saying to not rush through it and enjoy the game. Thank you! I feel much better now. ❤️
I definitely skipped this game when I saw it's a 2D pixelated farming simulator before. But I got addicted by watching a stream of SV gameplay and that was the moment I knew I must get the game! Also, no regrets for buying it!!!
No wayyy RoboKast is a Stardew homie :O I love this damn game so much i made mods for it, am part of the Stardew Aquarium Team and have made several smaller (some abandoned) mods of my own :) Played it recently as well, although on a break due to work and such, but 1.5 has been a blast!
As for the best romanceable character, i think its Abigail. I personally like her story far more than of any other character. She's romantic, a bit naive, have a sort of mystery to her in her own story, she's not whiny, trying to achieve her own goals in life. Also, she's brave AND not stupid, which I cant say about many other characters. Also I think that her story and especially conclusion to it doesn't just tell you about your relationship, but asks some serious questions, that gamers themself tend to ignore. Bonus point: she's gamer herself. If thats not the definition of best girl, I dont know what is. But I can see why other people can prefer other characters, their stories really good and\or heartbreaking in their own right. I also sympathize Penny's parent problem and the weight of responsibility on her shoulders, Shane's loss of meaning in life, Haley that misses her parents, Alex's insecurity about himself, and so on. Every romanceable character is quite enjoyable to interact with. Well, there are boring ones like Harvey or Maru, but that maybe just me. Still, I think that Abigail is the best girl by far, I mean, she literally kills someone to save you, and I cant remember her being miserable or making you feel sorry for her. She doesnt make you sympathize with her, she makes you feel great about being around with her, and also she's there for you, not the other way around. PS: yea, sounds like love letter. Well, to hell with it, I just love her that much.
personally I’ve always had a place in my heart for Sebastian, he’s a guy who has an odd relationship with his parents who distracts himself by hiding in his room and playing video games. I’m a guy with an odd relationship with my parents who distracts myself by hiding in my room and playing video games, that’s what I’m doing playing stardew valley, so even when I start a new file and I tell myself I’m gonna try and date someone else I find myself rushing to level 40 in the mines to look for frozen tears to give him and we end up married before the end of year 2. also he was what I wanted to look like as a middle schooler, the edgy hair cut, hoodie and all. 10/10 seventh grade me would be even happier than current me is about the emo husband.
I thought I knew every aspect of this game since I knew the majority of the features despite the fact I hadn’t finished it. Oh boy was I stupid. I wasn’t aware about the story behind the mayor and Jojo co, but now I’m curious 😭 I don’t consider this a bad thing though. It just shocks me how deep this game goes!
This is like the only game I bought twice (When it came out just recently on pc and then I bought my other copy on the switch as soon as that came out), It's that good
Favourite game of all time. It got me back into gaming in the midst of crippling opioid and benzodiazepine addiction which I’m still dealing with, but I’m a lot cheerier knowing I have “friends” and a farm to keep my mind active. Stardew Valley is more than a game to me and Pelican Town is kinda like a real place of solace for me. I’ve min/maxed the game to no end and have over 1000 hours on record. Now I’m starting from scratch with the Switch version because my PS4 won’t let me into my downloaded games due to forgetting my password and having 2 factor authentication on, which I don’t know how to use or undo.
I grew up playing the harvest moon games, they give me so much nostalgia and i love them, but I must admit that Stardew Valley is superior in many aspects, its like a perfected version of Harvest Moon
Yes! I currently have 500+ hours in that game... I start over a lot. ^_^ I guess I don't find the getting off the planet thing to be very interesting. I just like the challenge of getting a colony well established.
I have been getting into farming sims like Stardew Valley and Rune Factory (can't wait for RF5) for a while as well as really getting into the music, characters and lore of Touhou. Coming from stuff like Unreal Tournament, it's just nice, warm, relaxing, and wholesome. Kinda want a Touhou mod for Stardew Valley.
Just got the game 2 weeks ago, haven’t put it down since. Logged in about 60+ hours and I’m hooked! My first game of the genre. I’m normally a single play rpg but this year gotten into different types of games and this one if a masterpiece
This Game is ONE OF THE BEST GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED!!!! 10/10 recommended, YOU would regret for not playing. The best part of this game (I think) is when U spend a week giving flower and helping a girl out, and when u ask her to dance with u. The girl said " EW, NO."
I remember my mom introduced me to this game when I was only 9 or 10. I fell in love with the game almost immediately and hundreds of hours and multiple playthroughs later I still love it. Great video discussing just how good this game is!
So far, I reached mining floor lvl 120...and got skull keys..it takes me 16 days😂...it's a game that is pixel wonderfully made, bizarre and amazing storyline...I never regrets buying... Hope he made another stardew valley in space exploration and farming...
Abigail, she's just a fun character to romance with. She also plays the flute, and the drums. And she has a freaking sword and is adventurous. She can be brash and moody, but who isn't at times? She can be sweet and adorable.
Very well done video. Not only is stardew valley a masterpiece, but your organization and ability to keep me entertained with stuff I already knew (I guess I am biased) but I love hearing good things to be said about stardew
Just wanna point this out: Before Stardew Valley people would compare games in the genre to Harvest Moon. Now you'll hardly ever hear someone say a game is "like Harvest Moon", they say it's "like Stardew Valley". It's extremely rare for an old genre-defining game/series to be replaced in everyone's minds by a new game, an indie game at that, as the one that defines the genre. Even if somehow I didn't like Stardew Valley (to be clear I love it), I would still marvel at the achievement.
I wish more creators would recognise that his gf supported him (financially and otherwise) all through the development, she deserves more credit towards Stardews creation than she gets.
That dig at 7 Days to Die was just amazing! xD Very common joke among me and friends, that maybe one day our grandchildren will be able to play the game in a Beta state.
Am I missing out by having the switch version instead of the pc? I know mods can be a lot of fun but I'm not familiar with how to install or use them. Is it easy to use them? I'm debating purchasing it on steam as well 🤔
It's fairly easy. You need to install SMAPI, and then just drop the mods you want into a specific folder. It just requires a bit of work to maintain when some mods are updated or if some of them are incompatible. But the modding community are thriving and very helpful if you have any questions. You can browse the available mods on nexusmod site and maybe start from simple ones that improve QoL or aesthetic before delving into bigger mods. :D

I did try it when I first got it and all I remember is that the days go by extremely fast! That moment when a single man gave the villagers more character and development than an entrie company did (looking at you animal crossing)
This hits hard. I miss when AC villagers would literally bully and rob you. The villagers are just ornaments for your town now.
@@itscharliebee2307 animal crossing sucks tbh in my OPINION that is considering they only have 3 lines if dialog and no changes
yeah animal crossing villagers seem to just say the same kinds of stuff, they never change or anything. I'm 3 years into another playthrough in stardew and I think I haven't heard many (if not none at all) repeated lines from the villagers. since their range of dialogue increases the more close you get to them it isn't repetitive, and actually feels natural and not just like a robot saying the same few lines over and over

Harvey is hands down my favorite bachelor. This is also probably partly because I have a thing for doctors but hey, don't hold that against me. He's by far the most stable.
We need communities again this game taught me, now it's strange to know the person living next to you but there was a time I remember you could walk next-door and say hi, now being older I miss those days more than anything, and feel sad I never could fully enjoy their existence in a sea of a violent marriage and and divorce.
that was beautiful man
As a farmer I can tell you that it's not all its made out to be. It's hard work and the money is awful. Unless you're a big corporate farm you can't make a living out of it. But it is honest and if you enjoy it then it can bring you some sort of peace and structure.
My boy is growing small things
😂
XD
3 play-throughs, at least 100 hours each, married Leah all the time.
I don't believe her ex is a girl as in the 4 heart cut scene it's mentioned as a she "She was always nagging me to go back to school"
(Also watch Eric barones cover of it on his RUclips channel it's the most wholesome thing ever)
The single best thing about this game for me is Winter (The Wind Can Be Still). It's a miracle that such a song has been created that I can listen to whenever I want. It's so good that I feel like I shouldn't be allowed to hear it. It truly shows that lyrics are not needed to tell a beautiful story.
Stardew valley is my favourite game. Idk how to end this comment lmao
thank you for sharing your story dude!
thanks for sharing, it's really nice to see how much passion people have for this wonderful gem of a game.

It’s so easy to invest so many hours. My switch thing told me I played 100+ hours. It’s so good
This game sucked up all my free time for about a month or so back in 2016 after it released. I haven't been able to get back into it since, but I still fondly recall the game/soundtrack and its one of the top games I've played. Now Valheim holds a similar spot.

I'll keep sending Shane pizza lol

Whenever I'm in a bad mood, I always listen to cavetown and play stardew valley for 8 hours straight.
Personally I typically go for Leah, you both came to pelican town from big cities to escape and start your life anew, so there's already a similar history to build off of. She's always friendly, passionate about her art, which again has similarities to your story as a return to nature/simpler life. Plus she loves wine.
And salads the easiest thing to get 😂
160 hours on Switch and 100 on Steam, y’know this game is truly something. When you start out it’s just so simple and calm but you get past like year three, you have to manage a greenhouse, fields, coops, farms, and then if you have time mingle with the town folks (don’t let their hearts go down because you don’t talk to them!). But later on you make every automated and it feels rewarding.
Penny is the best wife hands down, not only she’s so kind she gives you food and just hyped you up constantly, come on!!

Alex is so lovely and wonderful, he is my first and my favorite
For my, it's the vibe. The world the game depicts. Everything is clean, pure, colorful, natural. People enjoy life as simple as it is. This game gives me some feeling I can't find the word.

i remember everyone begging to make emily the next bachelorette.
My only nitpick with Emily is the lack of “married” dialogue during town festivals, like others have.
She's gonna love when you bring her to the mine, lol
Honestly you phrased it so beautifully I have no more words about how amazing stardew valley really is
This game has been getting me through college. But that’s not the point, it’s such an incredible and beautiful game that I can’t help but be obsessed
if i’m being honest, i don’t play many video games but stardew valley is absolutely an exception. this game holds such a special place in my heart and quite literally kept me sane throughout 2020 when i was stuck in my parent’s house during quarantine. literally the best thing to do after a busy day is coming home, cranking some tunes, and playing an hour of stardew valley
also i always go after leah my artsy cottagecore queen
I highly suggest you befriend her mother Pam while your at it. She can send you some really valuable items once you get enough hearts
You can also i think post community center completion? Upgrade their trailer into a nice little house! :)
End game fixes the trailer problem

Love me some SDV, I have about 200 hours of play, but I don't find it relaxing as other people say, I don't play games to relax, I relax with beer and music. I find it stimulant, fun, a little stressful, all of which are characteristics that a game should have to not be dull and lame.

Her plot is the best.

Favourite game of all time. It got me back into gaming in the midst of crippling opioid and benzodiazepine addiction which I’m still dealing with, but I’m a lot cheerier knowing I have “friends” and a farm to keep my mind active.
My favourite is Haley by far she has some of the best character development of all the bachelors it’s sad to see so much people who dislike her
I wish more creators would recognise that his gf supported him (financially and otherwise) all through the development, she deserves more credit towards Stardews creation than she gets.

Am I missing out by having the switch version instead of the pc? I know mods can be a lot of fun but I'm not familiar with how to install or use them. Is it easy to use them? I'm debating purchasing it on steam as well 🤔
As far as I know you need a emulator of sorts called smapi.
The only key difference is mods and if you want to know how to download them watch a tutorial there’s 1000s of them
It's fairly easy.

I bought this game when I first bought my switch but ended up needing to sell the switch! However I got one again and I plan to start playing it today on break at work and after work as well! I did try it when I first got it and all I remember is that the days go by extremely fast! I didn’t get very far into the game so I’m hoping I can start all over again because I don’t remember what to do but looking forward to playing it again
