    Thanks for this video, Deby. I've always wondered how this cork would adhere to those raised areas, and if the back would end up being bumpy. Looks like the cork is the key. Hope you are well!

    • @DebyatMixedMediaArts
      @DebyatMixedMediaArts  6 лет назад

      That's what I thought too, that it would be all bumpy. But the cork is thick enough that it just lies flat over the top and you really can't tell it might be lines underneath.

    I love it, I wondered what cork you used on the back of your tiles, do you do the same for the records? I loved watching you do these tiles, It's nice to see from start to finish.

    • @DebyatMixedMediaArts
      @DebyatMixedMediaArts  6 лет назад +2

      For the records, I usually leave them unfinished on the back because people tell me they like to see the record. I provide a simple hanger they can glue on once they decide which way up they want to hang it. But cork would be a nice idea too and look really neat, and cushion it against the wall. Nice idea. And thanks for watching.

    Thank you Debbie. Could you please tell me which glue it’s the bed to use for the cork?

    • @DebyatMixedMediaArts
      @DebyatMixedMediaArts  2 года назад +1

      I just use a regular white PVA glue from the DI store. The cork has stayed on perfectly for years.

    Love ALL the vids! Do you know what I should do if I want to hang a 4x4 ceramic tile on the wall? How I would attach something to it that would stick? Thanks ... Phyllis

    • @DebyatMixedMediaArts
      @DebyatMixedMediaArts  6 лет назад

      I'd suggest using a hanger like these - amzn.to/2sSSL2m and attach it with a good strong glue like no nails. A small tile wouldn't be massively heavy but they are difficult to display on the wall. You can get tile frames online. I can't remember the company name, but try a google search for tile or trivet frames and you should find some

    I use E6000 glue and one of my tiles has a hole in part of it. This is a set of 4. Is there a way to get the cork off to reapply a new piece? I considered soaking but . . .

    Where is the link you said you would provide for the cork?

    • @DebyatMixedMediaArts
      @DebyatMixedMediaArts  5 лет назад

      It's in the description for the video, there is a list of items and dlinks in there. This is the one you want for the cork - Cork roll I recommend - amzn.to/2oIciQP. Good luck.

    Do you know about how many squares you get out of a roll?

    • @DebyColes
      @DebyColes 5 лет назад

      When you look to buy a roll, it will tell you the dimensions, both width and length. Then you can work out how many squares you will get. Maybe you'll have 6 inch tiles, or 4.25 inch tiles. Work out how many you can get across the width, then how many you can get down the length and multiply those two numbers together to see how many you can get out of the roll in total. Hope that helps.

    What about using e6000? Will Elmer's last even if it gets wet?

    • @DebyatMixedMediaArts
      @DebyatMixedMediaArts  6 лет назад +1

      I'm not anticipating getting these very wet, just a wipe over with a damp cloth to clean them. I 've not tried to soak them or anything, but I suspect with normal use it would be OK.
