I love the piece and the general art direction. I'm curious why a child's skull was used for the top portion of the skull?
Adults don't have a prominent frontal metopic suture on the forehead; only infants have that feature as it disappears when the fontanel closes. This also applies to the location of the foramen, the round wide nasal cavity, and the short maxilla. Just curious on the thought process.
@@Ultimate_Wasabi My guess is these sculptors aren't doctors or specialists of the human skeleton so you must forgive them for slight inaccuracies. Not everyone has an encyclopedic knowledge of the human anatomy.
@@gothamgoon4237 Not sure about that. Drawing and sculpting the human body requires more anatomical knowledge than most people realize. I have trouble believing it wasn't done intentionally which is why I asked him.

Tweeterhead is filling a void that has opened up in the statue collecting world - Extremely good quality at price points that are way more manageable for the average person. Other companies are making phenomenal pieces, but at a price point beyond the average person's means. This piece is AWESOME! Great job Tweeterhead!

Man major hit but i duno man.... 1k?! That price point is so sweet its alarming. A corner has to be cut somewhere.... Right?! Maybe its hollow and way to light or flimsy idk. I dont wish ANY of this and hope its a smash success but been into statues for 8 years now and damn.... Thats too good a deal. Lol

Awesome! I have the PCS one (reviewed it on my channel) and love it a bit more than this one since it stays closer to the classic tv show. I love that this one has more of his torso. Great share!

That's awesome Scott, congrats on the future centerpiece of your collection!
I'm honestly torn on getting this piece as I love the general art direction and paint job. The anatomy keeps bugging me. I understand that it is a fantasy character, but the top of the skull is based off a child's skull. Add to that the rough bone that looks cancerous, and it keeps me from purchasing it. I'm really curious on why they went that route.
In the end, I have to say no to this piece. The final nail in the proverbial coffin was the bones on the chest plate not being inline with each other. Take a close look at the "X" that the bones are supposed to make; they aren't lined up. It looks like they were cut to make room for the gem in the center and not fixed. I really wanted to like this, but I just can't with the baby features and the problems with the chest plate.

It's cool but it looks like a child's head on a mans body, too small. Should have had moveable jaw at least...
