34 years out here and I've installed chains on my rig plenty of times. But never once in a state other than California. And more often than not,,, it was in the rain. Thoes clowns will make an 80k lb rig drive on wet roads because its snowing 30 miles ahead. Thats why their roads over the passes look the way they do.

I don't see anything on the road we used to pass these rip off chain stops. Just keep your wheels straight and don't use the brakes.
