- Quick speed run using Hobbywing Max8 combo 2200kv motor with 34 tooth spool and 27 tooth pinion running on GRP S4 compound tires. slightly over geared with currently, have 39 tooth spool gear coming so we should hit 100 mph soon - watch this space :)

What is the timing setup? Running very hot??
Stock max8 timing - don’t think you can change the timing in this esc and motor. Doesn’t run to hot, can get a few passes out without having to cool her down
question. did you really give it your all? becaus ei see 6 s in there. but even despite that i have the exact same combo in my limitless apart from the spool gear.( got the stock gear in) i run 68 mph on 4S. and that wasnt even top speed since i had to brake because the parking lot was ending soon. So im wondering. do i just have a lucky grab with a more powerful motor that was stonger then 2200kv or what is it that seems to make my limitless faster then some other ppeople with the same setup or even hgiher kv motors. i dont really get it and im teriffied to fire that thing up to 6s now because i dont know how much faster it will go
Yes we did give it its all, we have reached 99mph on this set up, just were not recoding at the time. Many other factors start coming into play as you up the voltage and speed: Heat, Wind resistance, Rolling resistance, length of road needed to get up to the speed etc. Our Talion on 6s does 70mph. There is a reason there is a 100mph club, its actually harder to hit than many people think . Try 6s and you will see its a whole new ball game 👍👍
@@HardcoreRC well couldnt go 6s so far because the old 6s lipos I have aren't strong enough. They are only 30c and are very old. But I ran them to hoin it a bit and the power level is a lot higher. But for real speed runs I need to find a suitable road first and get new lipo. But I will only buy the lipos when I have a found the perfect location
@@Madhuntr Very wise, we are doing the same before getting new ESC and Motor to go faster than 100mph, plus need the summer to arrive 👍

@@Madhuntr Oh dont worry we are very careful on where we run at speed, one of these hits someone its not going to be nice. I do worry when i see people putting video's out running Infractions, Felonies etc down residential streets at silly speeds

Wish my vorteks is fast as your limitless,already change to max8 and its cut the power off,maybe later ill try change the new lipo n run again
Might need to change the gearing - what Kv motor are you running ?
@@HardcoreRC im running 2200kv motor just got 68mph on 4s,the esc cut of,from what im research on the youtube might be cause of lipo,next will test with 6S soon
@@muhammadfaris885 68mph is good on 4s, the max8 esc will cut out tp protect itself. Think the highest speed we ever got with max 8 combo was around 90mph
@@HardcoreRC just forgot to let u know my gearing was 26T mod1,maybe later will test with another lipo,theres nothing we can do about cut off power right?
@@muhammadfaris885 Only thing you can do to make it cut off less is to turn LVC off and set the temp setting to high. But workd of warning as you turn off LVC you will need to kep an eye on the voltage of your lipos so they dont go below 3v
