- The Prince of Wales has visited the Gresford Colliery Disaster Memorial during his trip to north Wales. This year marks the 90th anniversary of what was one of the most serious disasters in British coal mining history. During the visit, The Prince met relatives of those who were killed in the disaster and committee members who set up the memorial.

The so-called current English royals represent an old institution with a rotten history and are not ethnically related to the original indigenous people of the British Isles i.e. the Celtic. Cornish and Welsh tribes.
They are descendants of European royalty, most notably the German Hanoverians, who were also related to the Russian Romanovs, the last royals in pre-revolutionary Russia.
In 1917, George V changed their surname from Saxe-Coburg-Gotha to Windsor to make it sound English.
Britons regard this so Britishness is about as bizarre as one could possibly imagine.

Shame the National Coal Board didn’t show the same amount of empathy and compassion as the Prince of Wales.

As much as William was comforting that lovely woman, I couldn’t help feeling by his body language during that close intimate contact was giving him much needed comfort too. Sometimes the touch or kind words of a stranger can be very healing and comforting. 💕

Just seeing the real people whose relatives and friends, must have been among the school children who died in that coal mine disaster back in Oct. 1966, i am almost reduced to tears.
From the Crown series, senior members of the British royal family visited Aberfan, including the late British monarch her majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Over a hundred children were killed that day. They dug their bodies of almost 150 bodies by hand and the coal company never took responsibility for that coal spoil created a massive coal/mudslide. Villagers constantly warned them it was a dangerous location. It’s wonderful that he’s carried the late Queens commitment to the surviving community. I think The Crown covered the tragedy.

The King cannot really retire. He would have to abdicate or put in a Regency.
British monarchs don't abdicate but remain on the throne for life.
If in the future, his majesty King Charles III becomes incapacitated somehow, he will simply make William the PRINCE REGENT.
