I've been church hurt in 2021 due to bad leadership. God is healing & restoring me. I stayed in that church 6 more months & still serve depite my complaints were not heard. Then I got uncomfortable continue seeing lack of leadership. I told God everything. I believe God released to attend another chuch, which I did. While still hurt, I attended new church for 1 year before getting involved. I joined some small groups to partake in fellowship with others with caution. Like you said, I realized now that I never lost my faith in God. I continue to enjoy a relationship with God. God is my everything.
When you gather with others, do not be on the lookout to get something, but to give something: encouragement, exhortation, compassion, admonishment; your ear--to listen; your spirit--prayer and intercession; your resources--to meet others' needs. Blessings in Christ

I also left the church who hurt me and I was not the only one who got hurt, but God comforted me, all man are falliable and I learnt from this experience as well. Now I am more careful especially with money and ppl who drops hints they need this or that and take advantage of church member's kindness and it difficult to nab them cos they are close to the ppl who hold certain positions in that church. There are usually 2 things that upset and hurt ppl in a church. Money and sexual affairs among the leaders or their spouse. Mine was the Pastor's wife going around scamming ppl for money, no much - $50 to $100 per person and whining about not being paid enough, hinting for love gifts ($$$).. and then the next thing they moved into a million dollar home which by the way, is their 3rd property when it came to light. So the Jesebel spirit is there, so dun give money or give away emotionally too fast or too quick. Pray about it cos if it is genuine it can wait and if it is an emergency, you will know for real. Above all, God never fails and HE never will break his promise, I moved on and I am happy where I am because God loves me and Jesus died for me. That is good enough and heaven is the place I look forward to because this world is NOT my home and I am just passing through. Amen to that. Don’t let the spirit of offense take root in your life and rob Gods word (progress) you had received. Do people mess up? Yes, but your faith will not be wavered . We all need a spiritual house covering just like when the spirit of death came over houses they were told to “Stay in” until it was safe. Put only Jesus on a pedestal not people.
I was 14 when I got into a relationship with a 23 year old preacher. He finished the relationship on my 16th birthday and took up with another young lady. I left the church. Came back many years later. So grateful Jesus took me back.
That preacher should be convicted as a predatory pedophile! U were a child. I would hope that you will press charges against him! He needs to reap what he sowed! There's probably other young girls that he has groomed and took advantage of. He must be stopped!

There are many Narcissistis as Leaders, Pastors, members ect… (recruiting Goats, Flying Monkeys Faithful to cover up) U will find this anywhere. Love, Forgive, Set Healthy Boundaries (stay away) from all that does not edify. Always keep your Relationship with God and His Word. Holy Spirit will Guide you and many times you will see, experience situations so you will not be that way
Thank you brother. I have been so hurt before more than twice. For the first hurt, what restored me was the Lord himself when he told me I should return to the fellowship because I wasn't done with the assignment he had given me. The second was resolved when I went before him in prayers and he gave me wisdom on how to overcome the hurt.
Great video. I was saved from the new age 3 years ago and I helped run a group of 1000 of us coming to Christ. I saw alot of us out of fear of being deceived again had a mistrust of church, people in faith and secondary doctrine heresy hunting. Thank God he pulled me out of doing this. He showed me if I deserve grace so does everyone as I was a complete sinner and he still loved me anyway.

I love church and God’s word because I seek and love the truth. I went to a church for 5 years. Everything went great. My faith was growing and I started to fellowship more. I took all their required classes when I first joined. Members were told if you take all classes you can be part of certain ministries. I got married to a member in the church. My faith started to grow more and I wanted to do more in church. Our marriage was “unauthorized”. I then discovered I was not seen as good enough for my husband and we were “unequally yoked” and was not good enough to be part of their Sunday school ministry. I was told to take the classes over to be a part of ministry. I did and the answer was still No. It was funny because one teacher came late every Sunday and clearly did not care to teach and didn’t even know what the lesson was about. It was more like they had a plan or someone else in mind for my husband. I also learned about all the unspoken rules that were never covered in the 20 something classes I faithfully took. Lots of legalism, favoritism and deception. My husband started to see what I was seeing. So we left. We found an amazing church.
I think i need to hear this topic. Because yes Ive been hurt by the church, my familys been hurt by the church. Too many times. 4 different churches. Our town is just small so theres only 2 churches here for Christians, the 1 other church is from other city we used to go to when i was a child, the other church is the church online. Theres many to mention but one thats not so traumatic to read but hurt me, is when me and my family seek help to the churches, we are always told there hands are full. Which we understand, because this place is crawling in poverty anyway. But the other church from the other city is a church thats really really capable of helping us but chose not to. 😞 Then the other church wants me to become a nun in exchange of helping us,, i mean I want to serve GOD but not as a nun. I tried it anyway but i went out for a truly valid reason, and when i went out i discover they never actually helped my family. Theres still so much to say about how I got hurt by the churches. But, however they hurt me and my family, I continue to go and believe that not all churches are like that. And whatever happened between us and the churches, does not change my perception towards GOD nor does it stain my relationship with GOD.
I was slandered, accused, intimidated to give more, called out of sin even if I did not do anything, I can't say anything because you can't touch God's anointed, blamed why the church is not growing, that I have not won anybody, they have parties that I was not invited to, but I have to drive those people who are invited, until now, I'm still not over it. I gave up that I will make it to Jesus because I still can't move on and forgive. I want to forgive but the mental damage because of that made me difficult to move on and forgive. They even curse that if I move church, I will ruin that church too. So, I'm afraid to stay planted in any church. I get paranoid if I don't see certain people. So, I probably not going to make it to Jesus. I want to serve the Lord but I don't know why they are more focused on making me look like a demon than planning things to do the work for the Lord with me.

And also maybe you have a gift and the devil is trying to make you stray away so that you won’t become a problem to his plans.. and lastly you can be make it , you can forgive you just have to want it more/ ask in prayer consistently continue to try as hard as you can to do good to those who harm you and try to deny yourself aswell…you may not feel like doing good but remind yourself of who you were to God and what you did to him and how he still loves you and how he still died for you…I can say all this because I know what it feels like to be destroyed and torn up mentally by people and I’m treating them better today than I did some time ago and even my thoughts towards them has taken a massive turn I’m telling you it’s possible with the lords help don’t lose hope call upon him ,cry out to him . Thank you for Biblically explaining the difference between forgiving a person, and trusting that person (like the gossip/theft never happened). So many, too many preachers, act like forgiveness means continually letting so-n-so rip you off.
I just went through this. But I exposed them made sure I did before I left. I was definitely hindered, sabotaged in a sense.The Pastor was cold, narcissistic, verbally abusive. I know God sent us there, but I couldn't take it anymore. The Teacher is a Jezebel. I confronted her.

This was the most loving, yet most truthful hard to swallow video about church hurt I have ever watched. It was such a blessing. Clearly I have some weight that contributed to the church hurt I'm dealing with, and even sin I need to genuinely repent of and hurt I caused others in church. But I think for both people, the one who caused the hurt, and the one who got hurt, that the encouragement at the end of the the light being Jesus, the cross, His love, and not a train coming to hit you, gives the most comfort. My Pastor murdered his wife and made it look like an accident. I was the worship leader/ Associate Pastor.They made a documentary that airs on Discovery ID channel two times a year. I was flown down to Texas back in 2019 to be I interviewed about it. I can tell you, I was “church” hurt for the longest time. It was a year before he was arrested. He was arrested when he got back from his honeymoon with his new wife, who was 26 and he was 47. Not only that, the girl he married was one of my worship singers. It took me awhile to get past that. I’m currently ministering again in bars all over er the county I live in. Jesus can get us through anything! Don’t let the “hurt” keep you from what God has called you to do!
It’s an important lesson to learn discernment on allowing yourself to come under someone else’s authority… being part of a church or ministry group is coming under the authority of another and that person is not always capable of leading in a Godly way. It’s an important decision to make to be a part of a church or ministry. Ask for wisdom from God… but also realize when God wants you out of that unhealthy relationship and be ready to move on
I love my Pastor and his wife, I am growing spiritually from their teachings and everything. I cried through this entire message. I still don't trust established church, so besides the wolves leading the flock, theres wolves in the flock. Today I live by where 2 or more are gathered... I was begining to think I was lukewarm for not rebuking some, till you pointed out the difference with Jesus, Peter, and Judas. I've been asked hard questions and it's freaking me out. I am not looking to start an argument nor call out perversion and abomination to add insult. I have found you can find clarity in the bible to help the ones who are truly seeking and you have to be in touch with God to present it humbly cuz to feel like you may have pushed someone further away unintentionally can be emotionally devastating. It does require discernment to avoid the pharisees and foolish quarrels and arguments. It's so hard. I really don't want to dip my toe in the pool, to test the water, but when you read a comment and someone's pain and hurt grabs you, you get sucked in. I think I was told once my view was self-righteous so I asked why so I could correct myself, but heard nothing back. I'm terrified of the pharisees and arguments. But this clears up so much as to how Jesus did it. Just don't, and it's ok. God help me, but I don't wanna do this. I think he makes me. So many times, I've spent hours commenting and then deleting and starting over, take this out, there's no relevance in that...This phone. I was doing fine a month ago before I signed up to comment. One frigging comment and I was sucked in.

Thank you Pastor Vlad for posting this video. I started the first 6 months of being a born again in a cult. It wasn't the worse cult out there, but they were very controlling and were even trying to set me up with another member. I left with a friend when we realized it was a cult and I was harassed for a while. They tried everything to get me back, but I never went back. Sadly, I had bad church experiences on top of this bad experience. I did attend some good churchs, but I seen plenty of gossip and hypocrisy. One church I went to seem to have the spirit of suspicion and jugamentalism operating in it. I ran into what i call " sledge hammer christians" because they use the word as a sledgehammer and try to hit you hard with it. There were some very Godly people in this church, but unfortunately these mean Christians flocked their also and tainted the astrophere a bit. They never saw good in others, instead they were always passing a judgement on others. The pastor of my last church acted like a wolf. He used the pulpit to say something snarky or mean spirited jokes at the members' expense. He would say derogatory things about other members in ear shot distance. I walked out of church when he saying derogatory things about me. I never went back. It has really done a number on me and has made me for the longest time never want to go back to church. So I know how much church hurt can become a stronghold. I pray everyone gets the healing they need, but no longer forsake the assembly of the Saints. Remember Satan wants you weak and isolated. I pray everyone finds a good church home. THIS IS GOD'S WILL FOR YOU. Stay strong in the Lord now and always.❤
I needed to hear this word bc I was recently hurt by a church but been hurt by others in the past. When people gossip about me, controlled me and was holding me back. Thank you Pastor Vlad for this word. It will be a great focus on in my life.
At 66 WM I just look inward and become humble. Let them insult you. Let them talk about you bad. Our Heavenly Father watches and causes ALL to change. I work on forgiving our enemy's. I call it the final frontier. Peace Friends. We ALL need to GROW!

I am not always efficient at detecting when I have been hurt, but one thing that has helped me is to realise that my church leaders are HUMAN--fallen humans who have major issues, blind spots, etc., as WE ALL DO, and that when they might not understand me when I try to express a grievance or even perceive their part in the error, the LORD loves them and HE is fully capable of making them understand.
Jesu the Son of God is returning for His Perfecting Church. There is too much to say about us Christian Americans. Let The LORD speak.. ahhh Mercy! Don't make folly with God. What have the stewards/ pastors of the churches been doing all these decades, aaah!!! Getting fat! off others pain? Repent and be healed. That's what The Word came to do. Jesus healed everyone He met. He is not an idolatrous "Cash Cow".
Mine related to being kicked out due to my disbelieve in the old covenant tithing still valid for today and that this practise also being linked to own financial prosperity. I went to the Word of God for myself, studied this fully and realised that people will not necessary agree even when proven wrong. I then advised and shared the insight gathered from the Bible, and then left that congregation realising that staying will cause harm rather than correction. This brought me to new adventures with God, with broadened godly wisdom, spiritual growth, etc. Keep your eyes upon Jesus, certainly helps realising how weak man are, own self included and what God can do.

Saved 39 yrs served in 2 churches and we know it's loving people into Truth. So many of those things you shared is how we survived. 1 pet 5:8 Matt 18 I developed a 25 page sermon titled Mend The Body. Saying I heard early in my walk was Love can go no further than to think more of the hurt of the one who wronged it than of the hurt it has received itself. I had an issue in church but I am someone who sometimes let's things go however I later realized that I was dealing with a covert narcissist in the church who was also in a leadership position. He had favor with people because he was very manipulative and knew how to use divide and rule. He intentionally was emotionally, psychologically and spiritually abused me. It was intentional and calculated, others could not see it except me. He really slandered me any chance he got. He was a deliberate sinner. I could not take it any more and I talked to one of the leaders and showed him evidence and he was so surprised. A year ago I went to God in prayer concerning the person and he answered me the following morning and I knew I had to cut him off as that was the instruction. There are people who don't know that they have hurt you, let them know. But there are others who know what they are doing and in this case I understand why I had to cut them off.

A german girl hit me at the church and her grandpa turned back and treated me very badly. When you are harmless, too nice, and too kind, the wolves will take advantage of you and harm you. So be careful
This is a great teacher, and it really ministered to me because I’m going thru right now and the best thing for me would be to flee cause a person can do so much. One can say so much but when it’s coming from the front from the leaders. There’s no turning back my season is done there time to move on.✌️💯🙌🏼

My faith hasn't been strong and to hurry to heal because my fear of how some in church would brand me as "not right with God" if they should hear that I am not recovering. Though I am churchless now, sometimes i do visit different churches and I still hold on to God. It is a tough journey and can be lonely at times. Thankfully, my loved ones and some Christian friends did not give up on me.

Abused by church and a vicar, I became an atheist. (‘21 become a born again Christian) those that hurt me have died, I’ve forgiven them but restoration is impossible now.

Just as we are all! Imperfect and our Saviour not throwing us out of the way but mending us up! And as a market, a school, we are quite different dictated by where, what, d who d why and d when we are coming from and these different from God'sway that are never ours and that we can't even understand, learn and master instantly. Well either staying or going from church to church, I hope we are not trampling on God's will in so doing. The narrowness of d way and d risks of d few that will make it to d end. I really needed this, trying to stay calm and biblically and prayerfully deal with it. I was almost tempted to leave the faith entirely; and one piece of advice God has given me is to discern between His word and authority and the words of authority figures in the church who say or do bad or unfair things.
I’m glad you stayed in faith with Jesus. Better than what I did.. letting the enemy blind me, and steal all joy for many years. Praise Jesus for being SO good, and loving us all SO much!
Everywhere I had gone, it was good, but the more I got older I realized many things in the church. I was always personally confused on the different denominations since I thought everyone did the same stuff. I have an uncle who recently stepped down from the church because he felt it wasn't his thing anymore he wasn't doing the greatest kids were running all over yelling fighting people were eating gossiping falling asleep he wouldn't preach much the Bible either he would add in stuff from our families and politics. Ended up with 3 families going and 3 other people. I moved away got baptized in a pentecostal church in a small town I felt at home everyone was so heart warming caring. I saw they had things well. I get in the spirit in worship and I dance with flags play the tambourine I get on my knees I shout everyone fades n I do it all for My Lord. But somehow I feel far away that bothers others. Also I always have the respect to ask if I'm allowed to do something just in case idk. Pastor agreed. Now lateley my I've been wanting to do more and I let the church know I wanna sing on stage and help where I can but I get ignored and people have been leaving and many won't greet anymore there's been a change. Noone prays for each other anymore. I feel hurt a bit
Thank you 🙏 😢yes I did went through something in my church a leader hit me in head when my pastor Call everything to get prayed I stood up said that Jesus healed me she came from the crowd got aggressive on my arm but my pastor did nothing he said he was shocked but he still do things in church I did try to talk, but New Pastor said no that’s when I feel hurt and offended he knew what she did and he did nothing. He lets her touch the altar, knowing that she still has not apologize. I went to her last month and I said we need to be right with God but she just smirked. I believe this woman is possessed.

Talk about trials, tribulation, and persecution all at the hands of leaders, pastors, those closest to us and leaving us out in these streets to die! Bravo you need it. I saw your love letter to the people who you wronged on Vlad's pinned post. Didn't know that you felt so out of place in a man's body. Doesn't mean that you have to take it out on random people on youtube. Remember that God makes no mistakes. You are a man. The sooner you get comfortable in your skin, the better.

Sometimes God can turn your enemy into a trusted friend. We just need to give all of our burdens to Jesus. There was this Christian lady in church that really hurt me. I even couldn’t stand her. But I had my Christian friends pray for her and me. I myself cried out to God in prayer regarding my situation for a few years. God turned things around in which we eventually became real good friends. Sadly she passed away from cancer last year on Good Friday. I really miss her, but I know she is happy in heaven with Jesus. Hoping to see her one day. I’m in tears now. I’m sure when I get to heaven she will greet me, and Jesus will allow her to show me a tour of heaven. My son who doesn’t go to church even went to her memorial service because she had such an impact on him. She ministered to him in love.
Because of Sound of Freedom, many people are coming out and saying the movie has released "their demons" as they remember being molested as a child by a church officiant. I have compassion for these people and am encouraging them to forgive their oppressor for their own sake - once I wished my own into heaven I am no longer triggered by any movie, victim's story on the topic. I was hurt by "evangelicals" during my first years of pilgrimage with the Lord then I found my "home" in the Roman Catholic Church. As for me, I now see protestants,evangelicals, carismatics as a spiritual anarchy thousands of denominations claiming to have the correct doctrine( "the truth") my modest testimony
Hey Pastor Vlad, I'm so glad that someone is finally talking about how we should truly function as a member of the body of Christ and how real church hurt is and how to discern and resolve it. To this very day I don't attend church because I have been disappointed in the behavior of church people and in the manipulation and lack of true knowledge that is so out of control from the pulpit. Pastor I love my creator, my savior, my guide and aspire to please Him with obedience and blind faith. Will you please add me in your prayers asking God in Jesus name that I am led to a shepherd that is after God's heart and a community that has a hunger and thirst to be true followers of Christ and not just fans, for my spirit is really thirsty for such.

Ive been hurt by church ministry alot. I learned to pray, to read my bible and forgive. But it took a long time. I don't blame God, people are flawed. I also feel the enemy has been attacking me so I don't grow and I have been tried. I have been thankful for the things I have learned from these circumstances and from the people. Always believe and trust in God!

I've been church hurt in 2021 due to bad leadership. God is healing & restoring me. I stayed in that church 6 more months & still serve depite my complaints were not heard. Then I got uncomfortable continue seeing lack of leadership. I told God everything. I believe God released to attend another chuch, which I did. While still hurt, I attended new church for 1 year before getting involved. I joined some small groups to partake in fellowship with others with caution. Like you said, I realized now that I never lost my faith in God. I continue to enjoy a relationship with God. God is my everything.
When you gather with others, do not be on the lookout to get something, but to give something: encouragement, exhortation, compassion, admonishment; your ear--to listen; your spirit--prayer and intercession; your resources--to meet others' needs. Blessings in Christ

I also left the church who hurt me and I was not the only one who got hurt, but God comforted me, all man are falliable and I learnt from this experience as well. Now I am more careful especially with money and ppl who drops hints they need this or that and take advantage of church member's kindness and it difficult to nab them cos they are close to the ppl who hold certain positions in that church. There are usually 2 things that upset and hurt ppl in a church. Money and sexual affairs among the leaders or their spouse. Mine was the Pastor's wife going around scamming ppl for money, no much - $50 to $100 per person and whining about not being paid enough, hinting for love gifts ($$$).. and then the next thing they moved into a million dollar home which by the way, is their 3rd property when it came to light. So the Jesebel spirit is there, so dun give money or give away emotionally too fast or too quick. Pray about it cos if it is genuine it can wait and if it is an emergency, you will know for real. Above all, God never fails and HE never will break his promise, I moved on and I am happy where I am because God loves me and Jesus died for me. That is good enough and heaven is the place I look forward to because this world is NOT my home and I am just passing through. Amen to that. There is always a lesson God wants us to learn, after you calm down and think, you will know why, cos God is preparing us. Take care and Glory to our Heavenly Father

I was 14 when I got into a relationship with a 23 year old preacher. He finished the relationship on my 16th birthday and took up with another young lady. I left the church. Came back many years later. So grateful Jesus took me back.

For the first hurt, what restored me was the Lord himself when he told me I should return to the fellowship because I wasn't done with the assignment he had given me. The second was resolved when I went before him in prayers and he gave me wisdom on how to overcome the hurt.

Great video. I was saved from the new age 3 years ago and I helped run a group of 1000 of us coming to Christ. I saw alot of us out of fear of being deceived again had a mistrust of church, people in faith and secondary doctrine heresy hunting. Thank God he pulled me out of doing this. He showed me if I deserve grace so does everyone as I was a complete sinner and he still loved me anyway.

I love church and God’s word because I seek and love the truth. I went to a church for 5 years. Everything went great. My faith was growing and I started to fellowship more. I took all their required classes when I first joined. Members were told if you take all classes you can be part of certain ministries. I got married to a member in the church. My faith started to grow more and I wanted to do more in church. Our marriage was “unauthorized”. I then discovered I was not seen as good enough for my husband and we were “unequally yoked” and was not good enough to be part of their Sunday school ministry. I was told to take the classes over to be a part of ministry. I did and the answer was still No. It was funny because one teacher came late every Sunday and clearly did not care to teach and didn’t even know what the lesson was about. It was more like they had a plan or someone else in mind for my husband. I also learned about all the unspoken rules that were never covered in the 20 something classes I faithfully took. Lots of legalism, favoritism and deception. My husband started to see what I was seeing. So we left. We found an amazing church.
I think i need to hear this topic. Because yes Ive been hurt by the church, my familys been hurt by the church. Too many times. 4 different churches. Our town is just small so theres only 2 churches here for Christians, the 1 other church is from other city we used to go to when i was a child, the other church is the church online. Theres many to mention but one thats not so traumatic to read but hurt me, is when me and my family seek help to the churches, we are always told there hands are full. Which we understand, because this place is crawling in poverty anyway. But the other church from the other city is a church thats really really capable of helping us but chose not to. 😞 Then the other church wants me to become a nun in exchange of helping us,, i mean I want to serve GOD but not as a nun. I tried it anyway but i went out for a truly valid reason, and when i went out i discover they never actually helped my family. Theres still so much to say about how I got hurt by the churches. But, however they hurt me and my family, I continue to go and believe that not all churches are like that. And whatever happened between us and the churches, does not change my perception towards GOD nor does it stain my relationship with GOD.
I was slandered, accused, intimidated to give more, called out of sin even if I did not do anything, I can't say anything because you can't touch God's anointed, blamed why the church is not growing, that I have not won anybody, they have parties that I was not invited to, but I have to drive those people who are invited, until now, I'm still not over it. I gave up that I will make it to Jesus because I still can't move on and forgive. I want to forgive but the mental damage because of that made me difficult to move on and forgive. They even curse that if I move church, I will ruin that church too. So, I'm afraid to stay planted in any church. I get paranoid if I don't see certain people. So, I probably not going to make it to Jesus. I want to serve the Lord but I don't know why they are more focused on making me look like a demon than planning things to do the work for the Lord with me.

Thank you for Biblically explaining the difference between forgiving a person, and trusting that person (like the gossip/theft never happened). So many, too many preachers, act like forgiveness means continually letting so-n-so rip you off.

This was the most loving, yet most truthful hard to swallow video about church hurt I have ever watched. It was such a blessing. Clearly I have some weight that contributed to the church hurt I'm dealing with, and even sin I need to genuinely repent of and hurt I caused others in church. But I think for both people, the one who caused the hurt, and the one who got hurt, that the encouragement at the end of the the light being Jesus, the cross, His love, and not a train coming to hit you, gives the most comfort. My Pastor murdered his wife and made it look like an accident. I was the worship leader/ Associate Pastor.They made a documentary that airs on Discovery ID channel two times a year. I was flown down to Texas back in 2019 to be I interviewed about it.
I can tell you, I was “church” hurt for the longest time. It was a year before he was arrested. He was arrested when he got back from his honeymoon with his new wife, who was 26 and he was 47. Not only that, the girl he married was one of my worship singers. It took me awhile to get past that. I’m currently ministering again in bars all over er the county I live in.
Jesus can get us through anything! Don’t let the “hurt” keep you from what God has called you to do!

It’s an important lesson to learn discernment on allowing yourself to come under someone else’s authority… being part of a church or ministry group is coming under the authority of another and that person is not always capable of leading in a Godly way. It’s an important decision to make to be a part of a church or ministry. Ask for wisdom from God… but also realize when God wants you out of that unhealthy relationship and be ready to move on
I love my Pastor and his wife, I am growing spiritually from their teachings and everything. I cried through this entire message. I still don't trust established church, so besides the wolves leading the flock, theres wolves in the flock. Today I live by where 2 or more are gathered... I was begining to think I was lukewarm for not rebuking some, till you pointed out the difference with Jesus, Peter, and Judas. I've been asked hard questions and it's freaking me out. I am not looking to start an argument nor call out perversion and abomination to add insult. I have found you can find clarity in the bible to help the ones who are truly seeking and you have to be in touch with God to present it humbly cuz to feel like you may have pushed someone further away unintentionally can be emotionally devastating. It does require discernment to avoid the pharisees and foolish quarrels and arguments. It's so hard. I really don't want to dip my toe in the pool, to test the water, but when you read a comment and someone's pain and hurt grabs you, you get sucked in. I think I was told once my view was self-righteous so I asked why so I could correct myself, but heard nothing back. I'm terrified of the pharisees and arguments. But this clears up so much as to how Jesus did it. Just don't, and it's ok. God help me, but I don't wanna do this. I think he makes me. So many times, I've spent hours commenting and then deleting and starting over, take this out, there's no relevance in that...This phone. I was doing fine a month ago before I signed up to comment. One frigging comment and I was sucked in.

Thank you Pastor Vlad for posting this video. I started the first 6 months of being a born again in a cult. It wasn't the worse cult out there, but they were very controlling and were even trying to set me up with another member. I left with a friend when we realized it was a cult and I was harassed for a while. They tried everything to get me back, but I never went back. Sadly, I had bad church experiences on top of this bad experience. I did attend some good churchs, but I seen plenty of gossip and hypocrisy. One church I went to seem to have the spirit of suspicion and jugamentalism operating in it. I ran into what i call " sledge hammer christians" because they use the word as a sledgehammer and try to hit you hard with it. There were some very Godly people in this church, but unfortunately these mean Christians flocked their also and tainted the astrophere a bit. They never saw good in others, instead they were always passing a judgement on others. The pastor of my last church acted like a wolf. He used the pulpit to say something snarky or mean spirited jokes at the members' expense. He would say derogatory things about other members in ear shot distance. I walked out of church when he saying derogatory things about me. I never went back. It has really done a number on me and has made me for the longest time never want to go back to church. So I know how much church hurt can become a stronghold. I pray everyone gets the healing they need, but no longer forsake the assembly of the Saints. Remember Satan wants you weak and isolated. I pray everyone finds a good church home. THIS IS GOD'S WILL FOR YOU. Stay strong in the Lord now and always.❤

I am not always efficient at detecting when I have been hurt, but one thing that has helped me is to realise that my church leaders are HUMAN--fallen humans who have major issues, blind spots, etc., as WE ALL DO, and that when they might not understand me when I try to express a grievance or even perceive their part in the error, the LORD loves them and HE is fully capable of making them understand.

Mine related to being kicked out due to my disbelieve in the old covenant tithing still valid for today and that this practise also being linked to own financial prosperity.
I went to the Word of God for myself, studied this fully and realised that people will not necessary agree even when proven wrong. I then advised and shared the insight gathered from the Bible, and then left that congregation realising that staying will cause harm rather than correction.
This brought me to new adventures with God, with broadened godly wisdom, spiritual growth, etc.
Keep your eyes upon Jesus, certainly helps realising how weak man are, own self included and what God can do.

Saved 39 yrs served in 2 churches and we know it's loving people into Truth. So many of those things you shared is how we survived. 1 pet 5:8 Matt 18 I developed a 25 page sermon titled Mend The Body. Saying I heard early in my walk was Love can go no further than to think more of the hurt of the one who wronged it than of the hurt it has received itself. I had an issue in church but I am someone who sometimes let's things go however I later realized that I was dealing with a covert narcissist in the church who was also in a leadership position. He had favor with people because he was very manipulative and knew how to use divide and rule.
He intentionally was emotionally, psychologically and spiritually abused me. It was intentional and calculated, others could not see it except me. He really slandered me any chance he got. He was a deliberate sinner.
I could not take it any more and I talked to one of the leaders and showed him evidence and he was so surprised.
A year ago I went to God in prayer concerning the person and he answered me the following morning and I knew I had to cut him off as that was the instruction.
There are people who don't know that they have hurt you, let them know. But there are others who know what they are doing and in this case I understand why I had to cut them off.
I had a similar experience, Linda...Narcissism? Mental Disorder? Demonic? I finally worked it through...to a smarter, wiser, forgiving self!

A german girl hit me at the church and her grandpa turned back and treated me very badly. When you are harmless, too nice, and too kind, the wolves will take advantage of you and harm you. So be careful
This is a great teacher, and it really ministered to me because I’m going thru right now and the best thing for me would be to flee cause a person can do so much. As someone who once served full-time in church and was hurt by people in church.
My faith hasn't been strong and to hurry to heal because my fear of how some in church would brand me as "not right with God" if they should hear that I am not recovering.
Though I am churchless now, sometimes i do visit different churches and I still hold on to God.
It is a tough journey and can be lonely at times. Thankfully, my loved ones and some Christian friends did not give up on me.

Abused by church and a vicar, I became an atheist. (‘21 become a born again Christian) those that hurt me have died, I’ve forgiven them but restoration is impossible now.

I really needed this, trying to stay calm and biblically and prayerfully deal with it. I was almost tempted to leave the faith entirely; and one piece of advice God has given me is to discern between His word and authority and the words of authority figures in the church who say or do bad or unfair things.
I’m glad you stayed in faith with Jesus. Better than what I did.. letting the enemy blind me, and steal all joy for many years. Praise Jesus for being SO good, and loving us all SO much!
Everywhere I had gone, it was good, but the more I got older I realized many things in the church. I was always personally confused on the different denominations since I thought everyone did the same stuff. I have an uncle who recently stepped down from the church because he felt it wasn't his thing anymore he wasn't doing the greatest kids were running all over yelling fighting people were eating gossiping falling asleep he wouldn't preach much the Bible either he would add in stuff from our families and politics. Ended up with 3 families going and 3 other people. I moved away got baptized in a pentecostal church in a small town I felt at home everyone was so heart warming caring. I saw they had things well. I get in the spirit in worship and I dance with flags play the tambourine I get on my knees I shout everyone fades n I do it all for My Lord. But somehow I feel far away that bothers others. Also I always have the respect to ask if I'm allowed to do something just in case idk. Pastor agreed. Now lateley my I've been wanting to do more and I let the church know I wanna sing on stage and help where I can but I get ignored and people have been leaving and many won't greet anymore there's been a change. Noone prays for each other anymore. I feel hurt a bit

He lets her touch the altar, knowing that she still has not apologize. I went to her last month and I said we need to be right with God but she just smirked. I believe this woman is possessed.

I couldn’t have said it better. I’ve been through so much persecution from the church and those who shepherd the people! Talk about trials, tribulation, and persecution all at the hands of leaders, pastors, those closest to us and leaving us out in these streets to die!

Bravo you need it. I saw your love letter to the people who you wronged on Vlad's pinned post. Didn't know that you felt so out of place in a man's body. Doesn't mean that you have to take it out on random people on youtube. Remember that God makes no mistakes. You are a man. The sooner you get comfortable in your skin, the better.

Sometimes God can turn your enemy into a trusted friend. We just need to give all of our burdens to Jesus. There was this Christian lady in church that really hurt me. I even couldn’t stand her. But I had my Christian friends pray for her and me. I myself cried out to God in prayer regarding my situation for a few years. God turned things around in which we eventually became real good friends. Sadly she passed away from cancer last year on Good Friday. I really miss her, but I know she is happy in heaven with Jesus. Hoping to see her one day. I’m in tears now. I’m sure when I get to heaven she will greet me, and Jesus will allow her to show me a tour of heaven. My son who doesn’t go to church even went to her memorial service because she had such an impact on him. She ministered to him in love.
Because of Sound of Freedom, many people are coming out and saying the movie has released "their demons" as they remember being molested as a child by a church officiant. I have compassion for these people and am encouraging them to forgive their oppressor for their own sake - once I wished my own into heaven I am no longer triggered by any movie, victim's story on the topic. It has only made me a warrior for the children. I am sharing this video in hopes it is of help. Thank you Pastor Vlad.
This is a topic that Is not spoken alot especially in our African churches... We have so many hurt Christians who love Jesus bit have walked away from church gatherings and fellowship.... Thanks for this biblical pointers filled with much wisdom ...

I was hurt by "evangelicals" during my first years of pilgrimage with the Lord
then I found my "home" in the Roman Catholic Church.
As for me, I now see protestants,evangelicals, carismatics as a spiritual anarchy
thousands of denominations claiming to have the correct doctrine( "the truth")

Literally i still have bad feeling in heart i don't feel like going to church, but i believe in Jesus! And learning to follow him and him alone!

Hey Pastor Vlad, I'm so glad that someone is finally talking about how we should truly function as a member of the body of Christ and how real church hurt is and how to discern and resolve it. To this very day I don't attend church because I have been disappointed in the behavior of church people and in the manipulation and lack of true knowledge that is so out of control from the pulpit. Pastor I love my creator, my savior, my guide and aspire to please Him with obedience and blind faith. Will you please add me in your prayers asking God in Jesus name that I am led to a shepherd that is after God's heart and a community that has a hunger and thirst to be true followers of Christ and not just fans, for my spirit is really thirsty for such.
Hurt people hurt people. It happens frequently in churches and sparks divided community. Forgiveness and love is really key to understand (not judging nor accepting) why people do what they do.

Let's hope to live each other as Christ loves us. It is He who made us. and He knows all. He only is able to make a righteous judgment. Yes confront lovingly. It doesn't always work. But it strengthens us to witness. Exactly ! Was saying to a person cherished. Concerned they go back to what they went to hell to get right. Corrupt company corrupts good morals. Come out from among them. We who know Christ as Lord. We know who the thems are.. I think I just created a new word. 😂

Ive been hurt by church ministry alot. I learned to pray, to read my bible and forgive. But it took a long time. I don't blame God, people are flawed. I also feel the enemy has been attacking me so I don't grow and I have been tried. I have been thankful for the things I have learned from these circumstances and from the people. Always believe and trust in God!
