Back in 2016, the Durafly Tundra took the modeling world by storm. Following the old adage "bigger is better", we then released the immensely popular Grand Tundra. Now, to round out the collection, we present you with the Micro Tundra! Its small size makes it the ultimate park flyer or back yard bush flyer!

The Micro Tundra is available in two color schemes, either the "Classic Green" or the slightly more outrageous and colorful "Graffiti" - both look great on the ground and in the air. This brilliant little model can be flown with either standard wheeled landing gear or with floats and water rudder, both versions are supplied in the box.
The Micro Tundra comes in the usual Durafly Plug and Fly (PNF) format, including the motor, ESC, and 6 micro servos pre-installed, these also include pre-fitted pushrods. The Micro Tundra has working flaps which are unusual to see on such a small model, they are very helpful and great fun for landing in tight spaces. The large main wheels finish off the Tundra look and enable it to easily take off and land on most surfaces. Swap the wheels for the supplied floats and water rudder to turn your favorite local pond or waterway into your Micro Tundra's playground!
Assembly is very straightforward and quick, literally, 5 self-tapping screws hold it together so you can be flying within minutes of opening the box. The Micro Tundra is great fun to fly. Being small and agile, it can be flown in very small areas, including indoor venues. For those with a bit of initiative, it's even small enough to tuck away in the suitcase on your next travel adventure!
Features:
• Fast and easy assembly
• Beautifully molded and rugged EPO construction
• Pre-installed motor, ESC, and servos
• Easy access canopy hatch
• Includes flaps for landing in small areas
• Includes options of wheeled landing gear or floats and water rudder
• Small and nimble, perfect for indoors or small flying areas

Thanks!
We love our community!
welcome back stuart great to see maybe hobbyking is on its way back again
STUART!!!! 😃😃 Wow, so glad to see you back, it has been too long. Really hope you can help bring HK back to it's former glory.
So good to see you back and loving this little Tundra. Shame it doesn't come with a gyro like the small warbirds that have been released recently, but I'm sure it flys just as nice with out it. 😊👍
I was thinking the same thing, mate. A gyro would be appropriate for this micro.
In light wind conditions or indoors its not required.
Stuart - this feels like a time machine trip ;-) Great to see you again
Indeed it is!
So pleased this chaps back love his reviews and knowledge of the hobby
Thank you for your kind words.

Still remember watching your Original Tundra profile on the beach 3 or 4 years ago..
Stay Safe mate!
Hi Bruce, thank you. LOL, I have great memories of that day actually myself, it was a nice secret little flying spot at the time. I believe they 'developed' it now! Stuart.
@@HobbyKingOfficial Enjoy and Remember!! And Pass that onto friends......
That Is Life!!!
Cheers!
Welkom back Stuart !!! Lets hope you get Hobbyking great again and back on its track .
Thank you for the love!
Was surprised to see this new Tundra version (seen it @ the Slovenia bro's channel first) and now even more surprised to see Stuart back at HK :). I suppose he's staying in NL? Anyway great work guys, looks like a fun plane and Stuart is just the best in giving flight reviews! Maybe one day we will see James return as well?
Hope you enjoy it! Stuart is based in the Netherlands
Welcome back Stuart!!

I'm so happy to see someone else making such small models with traditional style servos! Keep up the gtare work and pleas pleas pleas bring back the EDF globalhawk you made yes and tears ago maybe give it a modern revamp for long rang fpv and line of sight enthusiast...
🥃cheers🍻
Please feel free to share your feedback on colors and styles for future or V2-V3 models. We are here to support fans and customers like you!
That's good to hear I'd live to see the EDF globalhawk come back, and as for thos mini model maybe a classic L-4 grasshopper green with the black and white striped wing bars... the windows are the most important thing though!!! Must have the windows marked properly!!!
Nice to see you Stu.
Thanks Victor, you too. Stuart.
Just ordered mine in the spray can style, can't wait to add it to the micro fleet and get it down the local lake.
Thanks for your support!
Welcome back Stu!

Hey, thanks!
So nice to see that stuart is back! and tom on the camera
Thank you.
Stuart!! And I like the micro Tundra. Would look great with the regular Tundra of my son...
Good choice!
What is a good receiver with a built in gyro? I am getting into the hobby and want some stability in the air
Might get this one for myself for Christmas. Even though it’s a few months away from now.
Really good presentation of the model. Hope there will be more such good content from HK..
More to come!
Such a pleasure to see Stuart back !! Thanks HobbyKing !
Thanks for your support! Please enjoy our Halloween Sale too!
the hobby king web site indicates a motor 1106 2350kv...di you change it?
Yay Stuart!!! Yay micro Tundra!!!
Yes!
Hi Sruart. First time on your channel. Great discussion. I prefer micros like this for my small park. I don't have a tranmitter/receiver combo to use with this micro. Can you suggest a inexpensive trans/receiver combo to for this micro? Looking to invest minimum amount to fly this for fun, nothing too fancy, just enough trans/receiver to make a successful flight. Thanks for your content.
Hey!!! Stuart's back!!
Yes and for real!
Stuart for president!
Stuart is British lol
It's a great looking Micro Tundra with a lot of features. The one thing! I think they should have put a 13xx / 14xx Motor in this Micro Tundra so it would have similar power to it's Big Brother ;-) Very nice flight demonstration. See you in the Air!
That would be cool!
Great release! Does this mean we can also expect a Turbo Tundra, Tundra X, and UMX Turbo Tundra? Just kidding...also happy to see Stuart is back.
Thank you.
Will this be back in stock on hobbyking??
HK is back !! Ordered mine
Thanks for your support!
What a way to sell an upgraded battery too, what a difference, looks heaps more fun with the lihv
Thanks and the links to the batteries are now in the description per request.
Bought one this morning !
Thank you, hope you enjoy.
Yes, now get hobbyking back on track like it was in the past. Welcome back Stuart. Cheers.
We're working on it. Please let us know what you like and how we can work on getting it where it needs to be. We know the pain points are with stock, delivery, and website speeds....=/
@@HobbyKingOfficial Hi, thanks for taking notice, stock, delivery, spare parts and new items on a fair price base would be a good beginning here in the EU warehouse, also lower shipping costs for items coming from the global warehouse would be nice. Take Care !
Stuuuuuuuuuuuaaaaaaaaarrrrrrttttt!!!!!!!!!!! Yes!
Thanks
How to fix stutter problem of brushless motor sir
I am sorry to hear about this. Can you please submit a ticket here - support.hobbyking.com/hc/en-us/requests/new - with your order number and contact details so we can troubleshoot and assist? Thanks
You brought back our song!
Thanks!
Great to see Stuart back at what capacity? But I'm sure it's a good move and put Hobbyking back in the right direction🙂
He is back full-time =)
Welcome back
Thanks!
Stu! Your back!!!
What took you so long!?!
Are ya gettin the band back together again?
Happy to be back, thank you.
Looks nice. No flight controller though?
Stu is back! Stu is back! yeahhh

More favourite aircraft like the J Cub please
Thanks so much for your suggestions, please help us fill in the survey bit.ly/2Ic7AqV
All very well but the lipos are out of stock in the U.K. warehouse??
Hello, suitable batteries are on their way.
@@HobbyKingOfficial thanks for replying 👍
Wait wtf?? Stewart is back with HK? Might actually pay attention to them again
Yes Stuart is at HobbyKing =)
Have I gone back in time 10 years...Stuart at HK
This is a new video, not a #tbt video
Love the music
Thanks
The LiPo HV are good, for sure, but they are not available in Europe. :(
Hello. There are more on the way to all warehouses.
It looks amazing, but I don't know if I have the reflexes for something so quick and nimble.
Hi, on 2S and especially with mid flaps it flies at a relaxing enough pace.
@@HobbyKingOfficial 3 years later, just ordered it! Wish me luck!
Cute as! Sold
Thanks for your support! Please enjoy our Halloween Sale too!
Welcome Back, are you staying in the Netherlands?
Hello, yes Stuart is based in The Netherlands
i noticed that too! Think it was near the maas somewhere 0:)
@@tante0leen no its by the Lek.
Is it suitable for indoor flying ?
Yea
Hello, in a bigger indoors space, yes it is.
I'm new to the hobby and would be interested in this plane if it came RTF and with stabilization.
Looking into RTF if there is a strong demand for it
@@HobbyKingOfficial That's great! I'd buy one. I understand that a decision like that must be market driven. I suspect that a RTF Micro Tundra with stabilization would compete well with and take market share from both the HZ Sort Cub S 2 and the UMX Turbo Timber.
Are you back at Hobby King or freelancing new products while still working for MOTION. Either way it is good to see you back with flight impressions while you fly.
Full time HK.
Stuarttt! :-)
Thanks for your support! Please enjoy our Halloween Sale too!
So glad to see a umx model that won't fall apart in my hand. Got on well with the first umx timber but so many repairs! I bought the mig umx n was a massive pile of turd, got the new turbo umx timber and be had servos stick, intermittently. I've only had a handful of flights. Complete waste of money, this is half the price and looks decent
Thanks for the feedback and we'll work on improving out Tundra and other planes =)
Ohhh yeAaahhh
I did not know there was a 3rd Petrincic brother...
Me neither
Will it ever be offered RTF?
If there is demand for a Ready to Fly variant
@@HobbyKingOfficial I demand a Ready to Fly variant! What? It hasn't been delivered yet? Seriously, I am a rank beginner and have one small Cub that I have flown once. Hard to find a field to fly where I live. I could fly right from my side yard that faces a pond but I don't trust my skills yet to fly over water. Anyhow, I would have already bought the Tundra if RTF.
Any flight stabilisation?
No, but gyro receivers can be used, though not necessary in the right conditions.
Why would need stabilisation for what is essentially a trainer?
@@richardlong3615 5:58 ruclips.net/video/hHXRyWo4AzE/видео.html - "It's not for the novice pilot"... Little planes do well with a stabiliser, in light conditions not an issue for this I am sure! But all the warbirds of similar span have them, due to the size (or lack of) of course!
will like to see it with two 18650 3500 miliamps. LOL For long range fpv.
HV batteries are like DJi batteries, they charge to 4.3v every charge.
How many times did Stuart say "LiHv" in this video?
😂
Can someone tell him that aitch does not start with aitch.
As long as you guys want it
There is a lot of video coming soon to my channel featuring this little guy my friends.
Loving it!
Please stock this in Aussie warehouse.
We're working on it
STUART
Hello
Stuart is back!! What happened to the pretty HobbyKing Live girl with blue n black hair?? Get the whole team up and running!!👍🛩️✈️👍😄 AirHammer out!!
Working on it. Please enjoy our Halloween Sale in the meantime! Stay safe
Please tell me Stu is staying .
Stuart is here fulltime
thats a downfall to this model... the smaller connecters on the servo's...
Don't worry, adapters are included.
No it's not, it saves weight and every gram counts. Use a (naked) FrSky 5CH Vd5M and you should be all set.
@@JustaPokeyes it is. i fly Futaba and Futaba doesnt make tiny connecter receivers
@@HobbyKingOfficial thats nice that they come included!
Went too far. Should have been about 800 mm with more oomph and wing area. UMX's get dull to fly very quickly.
Will keep it in mind
Welcome back Stuart!
Thank you, Stuart.
