  • Testing various companies upgraded parts on my Promotos and made on for the street and one for the dirt. Have GPM, HR, Vitavon and Treal upgrades. All the companies make good parts but dollar for dollar I believe I will only buy Treal for these bikes from now on. Just really nice quality parts. All the parts have great quality but Treal has just a little bit... extra.
    Vitavon Parts: eBay
    GPM: eBay and Amazon
Hot Racing: Amazon or local hobby stores
Treal: Amazon seems to have the best deals and the quickest shipping

I use Vitavon for certain RCs and Treal for others. I definitely like the look and build quality of Treal more myself than the Vitavon. Vitavon also costs 25% more for the same parts. Another brand i like, but is a Korean brand mostly revolved around 1/10 crawlers is H-Tech. I havent yet got the Losi ProMoto but it is very high on the list of RCs i want. I am just waiting to see if the price drops $50 or they have some kind of a sale on it. It costs a little more than i want to pay for one. It isnt cause i cant afford it as I have nine RCs that cost over $800, and four over $1200 without including upgrades.

Getting my Treal parts from Amain now.
Got most the lower Treal gear. Swing Arm, Knuckle, Fork Lugs, caliper and the lower/mid skidplates though I only plan to use the lower one to drop COG. I do have the tripple tree though so some upper weight will be added.
Also added the Losi Ti Axles, Fork Shock Lugs. Have the knuckle pins but not added yet.
Recently installed the HR rings also on a set of new silver rims pulled from my Pro Circuit that installed a set of black rims onto.
FXR is still mostly stock atm other than the few parts I have installed. Don't want to do them all at once.
Still need to get to my rear shock and rebuild it with the lighter spring and oil. Will add the LOSI Aluminum caps on it and HR piston maybe. Or at least the Losi machined piston.

I think you will really like the stability the aluminum parts add! Today I plan on putting the SKY RC performance meter on it and seeing what they can actually do today!

Is the hardened chain an absolute must for the street set up?

    • @TheDudeRc
      @TheDudeRc  9 месяцев назад

Not at all. Its just because the Horizon street tires are so short you risk rubbing the chain with no chain guard. I have a video coming out thie week of the new larger wheels with Vitavon street tires. WAY better combo and no chain run on tight turns. The bash session video I did yesterday shows the new wheels in the background.

Post up in the description or comments the stores you used for replacement/upgraded parts with links if you can!

I did that for the green bikes build but really all the parts are available from ebay and Amazon or even your local Hobby Shop which are the places I have bought all these parts. Vitavon is pretty much only off eBay but Treal and HR are available everywhere and GPM is is primarily eBay or Amazon. The Treal parts seem to be the best deal at Amazon and will be my "go-to" parts from now on. But thanks for pointing that out and I added it to the description.

Not sure if anyone's making them , a larger set of on road tires?

They do. One of my latter videos now has the bluw bike on Keeble wheels and Vitavon street tires that are same size as the off road stock tires. Bike does 47 now on stock electronics.
