    Thank you! You just saved the day for my flat! This girl changed her own flat!

    Can't figure out why none of these instructional videos don't show us how to use the factory tire inflator that comes with the vehicle? That would be a big help. Oh, and the alignment tool is in the vinyl tool holder.

      Customers prefer we not use it because it devalues the vehicle. I have other videos showing.

    Thanks! The Audi manual is pretty useless when it comes to how to work the spare tire, deflate and replace it -- very useful!

    Killer video man! Just ordered winter tyres as I look to spend my first snow filled season in years back in the PNW. My confidence level for changing out my wheels/tyres on the Q5 is through the roof! Thank you for this video.

    Just wanted to say thank you for this video. I wasn’t sure I could change a tire on my own, but this enabled me to do it and get home safely!!

    Thank you for this illustrative video really was helpful. When I added the spare and drove, there was around 10 warning signs. The break disengaged and drive system fault etc in addition to disengagement of the four wheal drive. The car gone crazy! And the workshop dealer is closed for 3 days I don’t know if I can keep driving for short distances or not.
    Thank you very much 💐

    Thanks so much for the video. The main trick is to inflate it to 50 psi. Otherwise you’d think something is wrong when only one side pops out first. You gotta wait until the other side pops out. Thank you again.

    Excellent video. So I'm stuck on the side of a busy highway with a flat, that collapsible spare seems like a major pain in the ass. My 2016 Q3 came with a fully inflated spare, much better imho.

    These are all things Audi should inform you about when you buy the car!! Not a fun thing to learn on the fly when you're on the side of a freeway in 105 degree heat.

    Is it safe to use hex sacket to loosen or tighten the wheels bolts
    According to Audi manual book you might not reach tightening specifications required

    • @roadsideguy5902
      @roadsideguy5902  2 года назад

      Yes you can use it, but yes, it is not the best for acquit torque. Re-tighten after 10 miles. Thanks for watching.

    how high do you jack up the car... i was told 18" to allow for the tire to slide out comfortably and install the spare tire as well.

    Just tried to help a friend change her tire on this exact same car. But for the life of me I couldn't get the spare out of its compartment! It was like it was bolted down but there were no mounting points or anything I could see. Literally wouldn't budge at all. What did I miss to get that thing out of there??

    actually that is a real problem if the punctured tyre doesn't fit in the wheel well specially if the luggage area is full already

    I’m interested there are no lock nuts. I have a 2020 Q5 and mine came without as well. Cost cutting? My 2012 A4 had them.

    • @roadsideguy5902
      @roadsideguy5902  3 года назад +1

      They may be in case in the trunk. Check there first. Sometimes the dealers don't put them on or factory whatever. I have found a few cases over the years and the trunk. You will either have for regular lug nuts in the case or for locking lug nuts in the case. I hope this helps. If there's none there and you want some you can buy them at the part store. Thanks for watching.

    51 PSI is max pressure, you're going to explode that thing....ridiculous, use the pressure label that's inside the drivers door jamb.

    I knew how much gas I inflated the spare tyre(3.5KPA/50psi)at last. I didn't know how much gas I should inflate the day before yesterday(Wednesday, 10/3/2021,Beijing time) when my tyre of Q5 got a puncture. So I made it about 2.5KPA and it looked weird.

    Too much time spent dealing the spare. People just need the spare on sometimes. sometimes there no time to worry if it’s at the right PSI

    • @roadsideguy5902
      @roadsideguy5902  11 месяцев назад

      If you change someone's tire and you do not fill up the spare tire with the correct psi, you are liable for a lawsuit. Have you go on social media and tell people publicly that the PS? I level doesn't matter and something years later happens. They will find that look it up and use it to convict you.

    • @FutureKidz777
      @FutureKidz777 11 месяцев назад

      I see your point don’t worry. But for example, I just used your video + 3 other videos just solely because your video was a lot of time waiting on the spare to fill up. Most square people don’t have a pressurized air pump either. That left me skipping around your video outside in the heat, under pressure watching something that doesn’t really apply to me. I agree the spare shouldn’t be flat or even low but even if it’s “low”
      You can make it to the shop and get it fixed. Make it to the gas station and put air in it. I think there’s more important details like how to double check the spare you put on is on the correct way.. that’s something you could spend 10 mins doing.. I appreciate you and the video you doing but just saying maybe the video could have been even 10 mins shorter with just saying simply “Make sure the spare is filled up the correct PSI. Otherwise this could be a hazard.”
      CUT. Go back to the wheel removal. instead we’re hearing you talk over the air pump and waiting with you. Just my 2 cents.
