Thanks for all of your support and dedication! It's been an amazing journey and I hope to see you in KSP2!
I cant wait to learn it right alongside you❤ im sure we will meet in another solar system some day
See you on the other side, brother.
So happy yet sad to get another ksp
It will be fun
I can't wait for Multiplayer its going to be so funny
Hello KSP!!! Update, update, f... go back.
We are back babe!
We need an updated version tittled "Welcome back KSP!"
RIP KSP 2
KSP, the game that taught more people about aerodynamic and rocket science than any university could, and it did it in such an entertaining way. I myself can say that, without this masterpiece, wouldn't be able to learn soo much and wouldn't get soo hooked up in physics as I did.
I hope that KSP2 will continue the job of educating other curious minds about the wonders of physics.
Absolutely true! KSP taught me orbital mechanics, and I'm forever grateful for it. Truly one of the best games of our generation. The sequel has a lot to live up to.
As well elon loves to play it lol
I'm sat in a military classroom right now on a break from learning basic principles of aerodynamics (boundary layer, tip stalling, spanwise flow rectangular planforms, critical Mach number, Parasitic drag etc.).
Now more than ever, I realise that KSP has literally altered the course of my life. Pining for the game when I was 8 years old and all the hundreds of gameplay hours since, it prepared me and encouraged me to keep learning science. Of course, it didn't teach me everything, but it being something I played, meant that I wanted to find similar things and to learn better ways of playing.
So thank you Squad, your development has definitely had a monumental effect on the course of STEM in the world. I can't think of a more inspiring event for young pioneers other than Apollo. When I get into my job I would like to see how many people I come across who have played this game.
@@-WildWanderer i wouldn’t say one of the worst people alive playing a game makes it good ngl
@@literalantifaterrorist4673 Bro what 💀
KSP will always hold a special place in my heart. It's gotten me through some of the toughest times in my life. It's amazing just to be able to sit down and create your own fantasies with such ease. It gets me exited for what the future will hold, for KSP and spaceflight itself.
And mine
KSP 2 will be so much better
Having played KSP from early 2015 when I was 14 the game has undoubtedly played a part in me pursuing a career in physics.
I’m now 22 finishing my masters aiming for PhD in no small thanks to this one of a kind game, it will always keep a special place in my mind.
Same :)
Amen. I may only have played the game for a year, but dammit I relate. I mean, it's what got me into aerospace and made want to be an aeronautical engineer. Can't wait for ksp2 to come out, not just in the name of having fun, but in the name of promoting space exploration itself.
I'll obviously play KSP 2 more, but I don't think it'll ever truly replace the first one. I know I'll keep coming back to my gigantic mod list and keep playing KSP 1 in slideshow mode well into the future. I can never fully leave the game that showed me the incredible beauty of space.
haha those megaprojects with the the frames per minute play rate
@@oadka minutes per frame*
I'm just now getting deep into RSS. I wonder how long it will be before that's available for KSP 2? Will definitely be playing KSP 2 right away, but want to put a colony on Mars at some point.
ohhhh my god in the future computers are gonna be able to play hella modded ksp easily
@@hairlessape5107 I'd have to imagine that quite a few major ksp1 mods like that have got a pretty decent chance of getting ksp2 versions as well. RSS is definately one id love to see in ksp2. Never been very good at RSS (can't even make orbit), but its great fun to try and it'll be amazing to see what others can do with the much larger scale ksp2 promises (potentially RSS including real local star systems in ksp2?)
Welcome back KSP 1 and only.
Today we say goodbye to a beloved legend that left the throne for what comes after.
"Legends never die, they become a part of us."
"Can you here theme screaming out your name?"
God I listened to that song way too much and I don't even play LoL

nah, I bet KSP 2 is going to be ass for low spec gamers, and, before you say "get a better pc", "save up for a GPU", or "GPUs are cheap bro" some people can't just save up for a GPU or a better PC, America isn't the only country that exists.
It gives me the chills. Goodbye KSP1...

I doubt Rp-1 will have any equivalent on ksp2 for years if ever so not a goodbye for me.
HOOOOLY HELL did this ever age poorly
An entire generation learned aerodynamics and astronomy just from this game alone.

There are literally thousands of practicing engineers right now who wouldn't have been engineers without this game. I've always loved engineering, but this game did inspire me a lot. Only 2 years to go for my degree!
Wow! I wish you the best of luck with your career as an engineer!!

Looking at the state of Ksp2, its still not a goodbye to Ksp1 just yet, least for me.

KSP has not gone. It has ascended into ksp2, a bigger and better version of it's original self
In light of the ascension, I propose we rename KSP2 into KSP9000.
No……don‘t compare KSP 1…a labour of love of Squad to a scumbag Take2 KSP-2. KSP-2 is just cooperate try to squeeze money out of KSP name….they fired, pouching stealing from KSP-1…
@@MutheiM_Marz
if KSP 2 was a money scheme then it would be out already, no matter how buggy
and we've seen from the in-game clips that it has a lot of afford put into it.
Also private division (the parent company of all KSP) is not known for scamming people, and if they did, the backlash would prevent KSP2 from breaking even, as we've seen from a lot of bigger budget games.
also, the fact that it goes into early access and not the full release say's the devs want the full release to be in the best state possible. and KSP is not a title popular enough to turn into a money scheme.
even if the dev team has change completely 3 times, they are still putting large amounts of effort into it.
tldr: Don't confuse KSP2 with EA, Atari, Blizzard, and the other "big budget" game "devs" who milk the user of every last cent buy copy and pasting the exact same buggy mess every single year, upping the price and lowering the graphics.
@@ReassuredPrimrose that's exactly what people thought of CDPR before cyberpunk. Just try not to over hype yourself, you really never know. It's always best to remain hopeful

I bought this game right after my parents got divorced and my grandfather died of covid in 2021 and it was the best thing I could've done. Got me through it and allowed me to escape from the real world and allow my ideas and imagination run wild. Hope KSP2 will give me good memories as well!
Split custody is garbage. Sons should go with the fathers, and daughters with the mothers. Or divorce should be illegal until the children are 18 or something lol.
@Baal Diablo fortunately where I live, you can choose with which parent you want to live. I was 17 at the time so I was well above the legal age to make a decision fortunately...
"got" the game back before my own whole family problem, but I remember playing quite a bit back then.
I finally bought it with DLC full price just before the discount for the final update. I couldn't care less about missing the discount, devs deserved my money.

Agreed. It’ll be rough in the first couple weeks or months, being an EA game and all, but I have faith in this dev team.

I remember supporting KSP and hoping it would turn out good. Thinking back to how basic everything was lol. Update after update for years and modders pushed this game way beyond what I thought it would be. One of my favorite games ever, Than You Squad and Modders, and Content Creators. It will take some time, but I hope KSP2 keeps us on the path we love and learned from in KSP.
Pepperidge Farms remembers trying to get past the Mun before maneuver nodes were added. That was literal rocket science, with protractors up against the screen and a handheld stopwatch
A beautiful tribute, and followed by a beautiful return to KSP now that KSP2 is abandon-ware.
I just retired from a 38-year stint in a space related career, and I know this and KSP 2 will help me from missing the old days too much. Thank you for all the joy you have given me and continue to give a now old man.

i am happy ksp-2 is finally comming, but sad that ksp-1 is within its last days... i had so much good memories with it since 2012.
KSP1 will always be here, however, I feel like the spotlight will be cast on KSP2 more when it launches and KSP1 will loose its community.

See you too!
Ill still be forever jealous of the yters who could actually make the game look like ths
I encourage you to do it! It's completely free but it just takes a little bit of time (maybe less than 3 hours if you know the basics of KSP modding).
Goodbye and Thank You, Old Friend. Thank you for getting me interested in the cosmos, and physics as a whole. Thank you for helping me understand how truly insane what we do in space in real life is, and how brave our Astronauts are to leave their comfy homes, only to venture to the great beyond.
Every single comment here, is written by a person who will be a part of ensuring that KSP2 thrives as much and more than the first one. Game communities don't see that level of passion and dedication often. It is an honor to be a part of the KSP community. I look forward to "rapid unplanned disassembly" with all of you in the future.
From this video i feel some pleasant sadness. Especially from the music from the KSP in this performance. And some shots... they look too cool. I really hope that Kerbal Space Program 2 will be an excellent game that will give us even more interesting moments and fun.

This game made me motivated to do well in school and want to be an aerospace engineer, thank you KSP.
KSP2 is going to be a blast, but there’s something about the older versions of KSP 1 that makes me feel nostalgic when I think about them.
Beatiful, it's hard to say goodbye.
I’ve been playing this game for almost a decade, for years it’s been a part of my life and a partial reason for studying engineering at Uni. Thank you ksp, I can’t wait for what the future holds!
This isn't goodbye, this is just another path that we must all take
Amazing tribute, the future is bright for KSP and spaceflight in general!
That melody, at 4am, when I should be studying... will never forget.
KSP helped me get through some really tough times, and through it, I discovered the field of aerospace medicine, for which I am forever grateful. Excited for KSP 2!
Same here!! I’d always known that I was going to go into medicine, but this game, amongst all the space discussion in the world right now, really sold me on aerospace med.

Even as someone who never actually played KSP, just watched other people’s gameplay videos on here, this was still surprisingly moving. A lovely tribute to something that has clearly brought many people comfort and/or inspiration over the years.
This still brings me to tears every time I watch it.
I honestly think people will play KSP 1 still for a while, until mods catch up on KSP2 to offer a similar experience. I’m so excited to start playing ksp2 as well but I have a playthrough that I just started with kerbalism so I still have KSP1 for a while.

Lately i went on my dead cousin steam profile and saw his wishlist the kerbal space program was on it.
He never experienced it and i know he wanted this so much because he told me about it.
The game came out 2 years after his death.
I played the game for him because he never could experience it and i wish i did this sooner.

It was truly a masterpiece not to be forgotten...
KSP was inspirational. Nothing will ever replace it, much like nothing could ever replace Civ4.
OG KSP just hit different and I'm sure KSP 2 will be good, but I'm worried it's going to miss that goofy indie charm of hearing Kevin MacLeod music when you make it into space.
This is the first video i've seen on your channel, yet it's so beautiful cant stop watching.
It’s almost time… KSP 2 is soon!!!
I think it's fair to say KSP has greatly contributed to inspiring an entire generation of engineers, scientists, and astronauts.
It is possible that the first human being to walk on Mars was inspired to become an Astronaut because of a video game about launching little green men into space.
I will never forget the good and hard times I've had with KSP and I can only hope to continue that in KSP 2.
Got this game in 2016 when I was 11 years old. It taught me so much about orbital mechanics and space in general. Now I'm 19 and serving active duty in the US Air Force. I just got stationed at Patrick Space Force Base Florida a few minutes away from Cape Canaveral. Can't wait to get the sequel.
