Thanks Ivan for this clip. Received the GX85 yesterday as a kit. As you have indicated, if audio and flip up screen is not needed (I don't vlog), then the camera might work out. So far it has. Will check out all your clips on this device, thanks again.
from what I understand, the sony a6300 and 6500 possible overheating problem is because when recording in 4k it uses the whole entire sensor and downsamples it to 4k resolution instead of cropping the sensor like in other mirrorless. You get much better details this way.
as a long time g7 user, i just purchased a used gx85 for a trip to tokyo so i would have access to 5 axis stabilization with my vids and use of long tele with stills. for the price of less than $350/USD with the kit lens, it is the cheapest option for 4k with 5 axis in m43. i wonder if the use of an external recorder with audio in/outs would be a work around for the lack of a mic jack. thank you for the effort and the sharing of this vid. i am a very appreciative subscriber. thumbs up.
Yes, I use one of these to attach external recorder when I want better sound goo.gl/yrk4kY
makes sense. which external recorder have you used with either g85 or gx85? thanks in advance. thumbs up.
Olympus LS-3. It's an older model but works fine.
I'm not sure how the 5axis really works, for short focal lengths I.s is irrelevant anyway, I'm curious as to how well just the body is would work on some of my older lenses with manual control
Your reviews are very nice and thorough. Wish you had reviewed the lx100 and the Olympus Om-D E-M10 mkiii also, since I have shortlisted these 3 cameras. :-)
Very nice review. Two questions: 1. Is it still true that video limit outside of US is 30 minutes? 2. Can I hook an external HDMI LCD to monitor the video recording?
Yes and yes.
Thorough and helpful, thank you!
Great Info, thanks for your hard work!
Thank you for watching! :)

I can't decide between GX85 and G85, both seems like great alternatives
very good review. Thanks.
You mentioned a few other cameras which you said are better in this price range? But do they have 4K?
There have been people on forums complaining that the 1080p footage on the GX85 looks soft and muddy compared to same spec G85. or other Panasonic cameras. Do you feel this way?
Great Great review. Thanks
hi. I just got a gx80 and recorded my son's school stuff. But when I am playing the video on my pc it is slow and stops at every frame. What am I doing wrong? :(( I am really upset I f.up my sons video.
Can this camera output video signal to external monitor/recorder in 422?
Any possibilities to shoot 1:1/4:3 ratio video format ??
How you record miniature?
4K hdmi 4.2.2 output is true?
hello help, I need to remove the video limit (29:59) from my gx80
Buy a video camera, limit is fixed.

Is the dual OIS at 6:35 with E-stabilisation also?
Yes.
Hi, what's the difference between gx80 and gx80k?
K as kit lens
Idk if anyone else has this issue, but in M mode recording is always automatic. Like the preview shows the exposure that I’ve set, but once i press the rec button it just goes auto. I’ve read online that the creative mode offers manual adjustments but it doesn’t from what I’ve seen. Any advice anyone?
M mode on dial is only for still images, you must select movie mode on dial and then on touch LCD change movie mode to manual by touching red mode symbol in the upper left corner.
Camerahoarders my main issue is that with that method, I can’t go below 30 in the shutter speed. Wanted to get some really slow shutter videos but ran into that issue.
Panasonic cameras allow shutter slower than selected recording frame rate only in manual focus mode. Switch to manual focus.
@@Camerahoarders thank you so much!!!!! how did you find this out?
Your're welcome!
Did you use only the kit lens?
Yes
I feel like the 1080 is decent if you go for a more flat profile, tell me what you think off the sharpness in my videos :) ruclips.net/video/seX4Vc53x8s/видео.html
fake , i have one, shot in low night is very noise
Manually set ISO?
