Tricia Spencer is a wonderful oldtime fiddler from Lawrenceville, Kansas. In this interview Tricia talks about how she got into playing oldtime fiddle from her family and other Midwest legends. And she plays a few great tunes with Howard Rains.

Lucky you, what a fabulous childhood.😄
Me and my two new housemates all play the fiddle 🎻, what are the chances!! (20 years I've been renting rooms.) So now I'm going to get us together with a repertoire of old-time/Celtic. Then we are going to play picnics, BBQs, weddings etc. We are way out in the Colorado mountains, so not a lot of others do this here. It's going to super fun 😊

I just love that slow groove with two fiddles. Must have played the "Apple Blossom clip here on RUclips at least 50 times, probably much more. Sorry to have missed Tricia's class at Swannanoa this year, but I hope it will be possible next year.
