  • In this week's episode, we are going to talk about 3 reasons why we still live in Cape Elizabeth Maine. We did a video on this a couple of years ago we did a video on why we live in Cape Elizabeth and we wanted to do an update and go into why we stuck around! We have three kids and having them live in Cape Elizabeth has been fantastic. They love their school and we have been nothing but happy with the Cape Elizabeth school system. Cape Elizabeth has an amazing sense of community that we all really love. Another thing we really like about Cape Elizabeth is that it is a waterfront community. We love the Beach and Cape Elizabeth is the place to go to the beach! Also, Cape Elizabeth has an amazing trail system that we have grown to love. You need to check it out if you have a chance. Being outside in the Cape has become a big part of our lives. We especially love Great Pond and the great winter sports that you can experience there! These are just some of the reasons why we have stayed in Cape Elizabeth! Do you live here? What are your favorite things about Cape Elizabeth? Let us know in the comments, and remember, if you Make Maine Your Home, you don’t have to do it alone.

Love the videos! We are thinking about moving to Maine and we also have young children. Do you think that Cape Elizabeth is generally a welcoming community especially for a minority (Asian American). Keep up the good work!

“Once you live near the ocean, it’s hard to move away”. I’m retired Navy (in early 1970s, I started my Navy career in Brunswick)….after 30 years, I started in a follow-on career as a federal wildlife officer…and as a senior officer, Maine fell into my area of patrol responsibility. Again, I’m fully retired….once my wife retires, Maine is on my top list of places to move to. I live in western Massachusetts now, but want so much to move back to the coast. I’ve lived in coastal Florida, Georgia, the Outer Banks, Virginia Beach, the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Rhode Island--and the deserts of west Texas and New Mexico. But my heart, keeps coming back to Maine. Although the tax system in Maine has me a bit concerned….I would love nothing more than to step out on my porch and smell the ocean in Harpswell, Boothbay, Rockland, etc etc etc. Cape Elizabeth is special to us, as that was a family vacation spot that my second child, Elizabeth, always has remembered! Hmmmm…..maybe I should look at Zillow now! Great video, once again, sir. Bravo-Zulu…well done!

I’ve watched your video on housing prices and rent in Portland, how does Cape Elizabeth compare? Is it more affordable? Also, do houses come up to buy often? Something I’m running across in comments on Maine videos is many ppl saying there’s not enough homes for ppl moving in.

@@MakeMaineYourHome hahaha never mind. I googled and Cape Elizabeth is among the most expensive in Maine. I’ll look into other areas.
