Please, stay south. It's getting too crowded here Downeast and north. Don't need bad drivers ( Boston, NYC, etc...), big hair, middle fingers, demand for suburban/urban amenities. Stay home or move to Porttland/south ( closer to Boston BTW). And don't get your roll at Red's.
Doug, I am in Hermon near Bangor. My husband and i want to try to explore western Maine on a day trip...maybe see a lake, or river. Where would to recommend?
@@MakeMaineYourHomewe live in Levant and walk the pleasant lake preserve often. Most beautiful place within 30 minutes of us. We like the picnic grove on the lake the best.
What's your favorite beach in southern Maine? I am v curious 🤔 I just moved to Hermon from the Midwest. This state is absolutely gorgeous. I moved bc i wanted to be near Bar Harbor/Acadia
Hard to say! I am biased and love Crescent Beach in Cape Elizabeth! Check out this video for more info on beaches in Southern Maine! ruclips.net/video/0wfPAwpuhf0/видео.htmlsi=HUe8HfixCtYn1Cuq
@@nikkivenable73 if you're in Hermon (I'm next door in Levant), our favorite coastal spot is little moose island (not to be confused with little moose mountain in Greenville). It's on the schoodic peninsula and only accessible during low tide. However Jasper beach and Hamilton cove down East are a bit farther but majestic!
Be advised: after living here for 25 years (midcoast area), it is gloriously beautiful ... BUT ... people don't "let you in". If you're not born here, forget it. Twenty five years and I'm looking to move to another New England state because even the local government is clouded with family connections and who's from here, who's not. I will miss the beauty and solitude, but don't need the close-mindedness anymore.

Thanks for watching! I've heard great things about the trail on Pleasant Lake! If you check it out let me know how it is!

I recommend the moose Head lake region for exploring. Little moose mountain trail west of Greenville is a perfect five mile loop with two lakes.
@@chrissanfino761 That's great advice! Thank you
