  • Dave Chappelle's jokes about abortion unfortunately hold a lot of truth. Our society tells women to kill their babies and tells men to encourage it. Real men defend their children and the mother from abortion.

It is scary that a woman can abort the child or abandoned the child at a fire department and no legal repercussions but the man is on the hook for that baby for 18 to 21 years no matter what

If you get a daughter (don't even have to be biologically yours, as long as you were married and can't prove to be away from you wife it's yours, in some instances even after proving inaccessibility you can be liable) you have to maintain her till the time she's married

If a pregnant woman gets in a car accident on the way to the abortion clinic and they both die due to a drunk driver, the driver is charged for two deaths but if she just misses out on getting into an accident and makes it to the clinic she can herself kill the baby...make it make sense!! • @uoabigaillevey

It's about who can be punished.. and how much worse can they be punished. They would want to punish the driver for killing the mother.. but get to punish him 'again' by adding the unnecessary charge for the death of the unborn child. Taken another way.. until the child is actually aborted the mother might have chosen to alter her decision and not go through with the abortion. Either way it is about punishing the driver as much and harshly as they can.

As a man, it’s truly painful to know that your first child is being terminated. My girlfriend revealed that she had an abortion with our first child. At first, I contemplated leaving her, but when I witnessed the pain she was going through from the medical abortion, I decided to stand by her side, be a better partner, and help her get back on her feet with love and support. I was there for her 24/7 because she was deeply depressed. She had initially thought that having an abortion was the right decision for her career, but now she regrets it.
Ladies undergoing an abortion can have psychological and emotional consequences for both parents, as it's not a natural or easy decision. It's important for couples to communicate openly and consider alternatives, seeking support and professional guidance.

It took me a while to understand your comment. But I get it now. I think people who are not in the situation dont realize how easy it is to get out of paying child support. That is if you dont mind being somewhat of a loser, job wise. Many of these single parent homes start with young people who never to develop the self esteem to get a good education, and become productive citizens. Our culture has this kids having sex and getting pregnant before they are old enough to know there own potential. Luckily they are also not so hardened ny the world that abortion is their first choice. So they settle into there roles as single mom n baby dad and hope for the best.I was raised in a two parrnt family and went to college despite having a baby. My daughter had her child at about the same age as I had her. I got $17 of child support her whole life, until her dad died and I got $200 a month for the last year and a half till she turned 18. Her child is 17 and she has gotten a couple hundred dollars sporadically. My point is I think most women know they will have state funded medical and foodstamps and have to keep their income low enough to qualify because they'll never make enough money to pay for all that and child care and rent. This is why abortion is so popular.

I think the biggest problem starts with the fact that we always refer to the child as "her baby" rather than "their/our baby." The very language we use strips the man of his rights to be a father and be involved in the raising of the child, but while having none of the rights of parenthood our system shackles him with all the responsibility.
No choice but full responsibility is wrong.
Even worse, this language strips the child automatically of a relationship with his/her father.
A child is not an object. A child should have a mother AND a father.

I asked if we use condoms - she said she was latex-insensitive.
I said, well, I’m 17 and I don’t want kids… she said, ‘don’t worry, if something happens I’ll take a morning after pill or do an early termination”
4 weeks later, she got hold of me at work, said she’s pregnant and keeping it ‘as a way to remember me’
At 18, I started paying child support, and made my final payment at 40. It was the first time in my life that I got to keep my entire salary.
I’ve paid for over 20 years for a mistake of trusting someone at 17

I have 2 kids and I had no doubt that they were mine, but I couldn't add them to my insurance at work until they're born. And then the insurance just back dates the start time to right before the birth. Of course I also believe that child support, alimony and welfare need to go away, just like we need to get ride of no-fault divorce and make child custody automatically 50/50 or to the parent that can financially support the child. While we're at it, we should make prenups and dna tests mandatory.

People, I figured this issue out a long time ago. The first problem with the issue is that the two sides are not arguing about the same thing. The conservative side wants to protect the life of the child. Yes, it is a child, albeit a developing one. The liberal side wants the women to have autonomy over her own body. Yes, she has that right. No person can be FORCED to do something to their own body without due process. Period, full stop.
Now, that being said, we need to focus on what the two sides want to get out of the issue and how to compromise. It is very simple. The woman maintains the right to chose to have the fetus REMOVED from her body, but she does not have the right to intentionally kill it during the process. We have the medical technology to care for premature babies. A woman should have the right to have a fetus removed at any time, for whatever reason she chooses, but the medical staff must provide that fetus with the same level of health care as any other person receives. The fetus is a person and therefore has the same protections under the law as anyone else. We allow a mother to simply abandon their child at a fire station, police station, etc. so there is no reason why we cannot allow a woman to abandon her child during the pregnancy. If the child survives, then it becomes a ward of the state just like any other orphaned child. If it does not survive, then it was not meant to be.
This process would meet the demands of both sides of the political issue while protecting the constitutional rights of the fetus. It would eliminate the hypocrisy inherent in both the pro-life and pro-choice groups.

There’s definitely unfairness in the abortion debate, but I have no solution for it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ It is unfair that a man has no say, though it would be unfair to force a woman to carry a child to term (yes, I’m pro choice up to a certain trimester). It’s unfair that she can choose to end the pregnancy but the man cannot sever his ties if she decides to keep it. However, I think at the point of birth, the courts look more after what is fair to the child than to either parent, so it makes sense even as it doesn’t. All I can say is be in control of birth control. Accidents happen, to be sure, but most unwanted pregnancies I’ve seen happen occurred from deliberate risk or ignorance. Ignorance that certain medicines can cancel out the pill (it’s in the pamphlet but so few read them) and deliberate risk from not having products on hand but having relations anyways.

I think that abortion laws need to be updated to be EQUAL to both parties. Yes, women should be allowed to do with as they want with their bodies. However, you have women out here who use getting pregnant in hopes of maintaining a romantic/sexual relationship with the person who is NOT interested in being a father. IF men were allowed to legally divest themselves from the child before it was born, and be off the hook for child support, I guarantee you that a lot of these women who use that tactic of attempting to make fathers out of men who have no interest in being one, knowing they wouldn't get child support, would be a lot more selectful with who they allow to shoot up the club, and their "moral inclinations" would suddenly allow them to get that abortion

This conversation just reveals the depth of how fallen we are. You know who doesn't have a conversation about when child support should begin? A married couple, talking about their child in the womb. All of this... all of these abortion debates, all of these men's rights debates, all come out of the debasement of marriage as an institution, which itself comes from a removal of God from that institution (and from other institutions, including many churches).

    • @rianmacdonald9454
      @rianmacdonald9454 Год назад

Really, you may want to read your bible to see first hand what your god thinks of marriage. Lets hope your husband doesn't follow the bible's lesson for marriage - as that would be one very horrible marriage for you.
People like you who have to praise your god and church and state every problem is due to people not believing and going to church are complete utter morons. As I said, I think you should read your bible - ALL OF IT - rather than let some priest cherry pick what he reads to you - as the bible has some fucked up things for marriage. For example - there is no such thing as marital rape, also a man can beat his wife for disobedience - that is only two issue stated - do you really want to hold the bible up for a guide to marriage? Shall we reset society back 1000 years in morals?
All of the protection women have had in the las 100 years, has been from people WHO WALKED AWAY FROM THE CHURCH, you know atheist values and morals - not christian/god/church views of women being property(Which has been the norm for human history - only the last 100 years or so, has that changed).
So I will ask you again, and think about what you are asking - Do you really want to hold your god/church and bible up as the example to hold too?

100% agree with Kristan on this. Men should 100% have a say in if half his DNA is being murdered without his consent. And that a man's financial responsibility starts at conception. And I also believe, that if a man can produce facts that he did not want to have a child and a woman chooses to do so anyway, then, he has NO parental responsibilities tied to him. However, if he changes his mind, then ALL parental responsibilities applies to him going forward. And once that happens, unless there are LEGAL reasons why parent responsibilities should be severed (or were illegally severed by the acts of the mother), the man cannot down the line say he wants to end his parental rights (which must be agreed upon by the mother).

If a man doesnt want a child, it's on him to ensure that he doesnt get his partner pregnant by accident. If he does, he can try to influence her decision, but with no 'guaranteed' outcome. If he wants a child and his partner doesnt, then the two people involved should try their best to avoid pregnancy until they both decide they want a child.
