I believe the logo on the seats signifies that it's a turbo 6. This is a dream car to own for me, and that's saying a lot since I'm a Ford guy at heart.
I’ve worked on and off in the restaurant business for over 40 years, and waiting tables is both amazing and horrible. You did a good thing guys. Somedays, when you get rude and mean customers one after the other, and it seems to happen that way a LOT, it’s just not worth chewing through the straps. You guys HAVE had a good year on here, and it’s been fun watching y’all grow so fast! So, giving your server that kind of money this close to Christmas? I’m guessing, by his reaction, you did more good than you realize. Kudos… And for the loss of your grandmother, deep and heartfelt sympathy man. She was the way cool lady you detailed her car and surprised her?
I really enjoy this community of car lovers, either detailers, restorers, or mechanics give back to the community. The Detail Geek, out of Canada heard about a 18 year old who was walking several miles to and from work. The Detail 'Geek got a car in good condition, fixed it up and gave it to the kid. He was totally shocked! It was beautiful.
Guys..I’ve been watching your videos like a year ago..and frankly, I’m nothing short of in shock about the quality you’ve reached in the mean time! Like, the cutting, image quality..mixing it up with the video call and that stuff, all the little tweaks make this super exciting to watch! Big respect to you guys and merry christmas to you and your loved ones!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I know, right?? Brent, the anxiety and panic attacks you've been honest about struggling with are the flipside of a talent to do a really good job and worry about the details and I love how God is using this gift you have in detailing and blessing others but also in your skill as an editor! Keep it up - I'm loving the nuances day 1 to now and glad this dude gets it too
Many blessings to everyone and that’s awesome much respect man 🤝 that guy was definitely happy for you guys coming into that restaurant and Rest in Paradise Grandma
Y'all are seemingly too young to have hearts like that. It's soooo refreshing to see. I am disappointed in humanity daily, but y'all just restored my faith. Your detailing work is just fun to watch and this is just icing on the cake. I hope you both had a nice Christmas. I look forward to what you have in store next. I hope y'all make a million dollars. See you next time. The "y'all" is from North Carolina. If you are ever in the Outer Banks, I would love to meet you.
Agreed on the logo, made to reflect that it is a 6 cyl and turbo. As for the wheels, are they after market or being an '87 is that the more desirable GNX?
I was a former contractor to the maintenance department at Buick Engineering in Flint Michigan, decades ago. To my understanding the V-6 Turbo is the result of engineers finding a junked V-6 in a scrap yard to determine the specs for the engine block. The insignia on the back of the seats and exterior badging is a "V-6 TURBO". Powerful engine that was the pace car for the Indy 500 OR at the Daytona Speedway years and years ago OR maybe it was just a testing session at either track. All that aside...an ICONIC ride that truly showed the capable power and performance of a V-6 in a family styled vehicle.
The twisted arrow symbol on the seats of the Grand National is a reference to its turbo induction, which is the hallmark of that car. That turbo V6 engine is legendary.
This Buick reminds me of my 88 cutlass supreme classic.. it had buckets and console as well… miss that car… you did a great job with this it looks great
It has a GNX style wheel on it. The GNX was a Special Edition Grand National for 1987 that was released by Buick to send the Buick Regal out in a special way. 1987 marked the end of the line for the front engine rear wheel drive Buick Regal.
its been a great year watching you guys... Ive learned a few new things and really enjoyed watching the Channel (grow, the find and even the Collab)... Cant wait to see what 2023 has...
Those wheels are made by American Racing Equipment (ARE). Specifically, these are the “Honeycomb Midnight Matte Wire Spoke Super Max Delight 15’s”. They’re GOOOOOOOD!
Hey! You were asking about the Ole Dryer Sheets in the car technique, eh? I do it as well. Especially when my box of dryer sheets breaks open in the car. Yep.
The Wheels were special to the Buick GNX, McLaren helped build those only 547 were made. Rare and beautiful car for sure. I believe this is a regular Buick Grand National no ports in the fender the GNX had the ports, the engine is those is highly underrated in 1987 it was faster than the Corvette!
Hey you guys!!! I absolutely love your videos. You guys are amazing detailers and you're so humble. I've been subscribed for awhile on my husband's name and I just wanted to jump on and say I love you guys and keep up the good work! Merry Christmas!!!
One of my all time favorite cars and plus the fact what you did for that guy at the end convinced me to subscribe to your channel. You guys had a good year and decided to give back shows you guys are good people. Awesome, awesome video. I hope he takes it to the next level and restores the car back to it’s former glory!!! 👍
I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL. YOUR VIDEOS ARE AMAZING. JUST WATCHED YOUR MOST RECECNT VIDEO. ANOTHER GREAT JOB. WHAT YOU DID AT THE END WAS TRULY AMAZING. KEEP ON MAKING SUCH GREAT VIDEOS.
I wanted one of these back in the 80s, such a beautiful car. Amazing what Buick did, took the Regal and souped it up in many ways. I had a 78 Regal with a naturally aspirated 231 with the plain Jane 2 barrel, and it could barely move with its 95hp.
Seeing this Christmas time footage is really beautiful. Sometimes, schools may have their students take virtual classes and stuff like this is very good. School districts should also subscribe to this channel as many of these car detailing channels could be a part of their curriculum.
You guys are awesome! Great detail on a great car and I fantastic end giving the dude grinding for a living, an underdog to help him out.....Merry Christmas!
Another awesome job guys!!! That was the car everyone wanted back in the day when I was your age! That looks like a Jiffy Lube logo on the seats and mats? Merry Christmas!
The current owner is correct in what he said. WE2 is the RPO code for a true Grand National. G80 is the RPO code for the Eaton Mecanical Locking Differential and the RPO code for the gear ratio should bu GU6/3.42 to 1 gear ratio. The hard to GNs with manual roll up windows are slightly lighter than the power window and T Top equipped GNs thus making them slightly faster,,,although you probably wouldn't notice it just by driving it on the street. That Grand National turned out really nice in the end!
Amazing detail fellas! I got a one or two of these in my area that are always fun to look at during the local car shows. Merry Christmas from Devil's Touch Detailing in Southern Maryland!
Merry Christmas boys. I have no idea what kind of wheels those are but, I kind of like them and I have no clue about that symbol but, what I do know is that one of the defining traits that separates your channel from other content on the web is you guys strive to lead righteous lives. This generous gift to a struggling person is just another example of your kindness and thoughtful natures. I think the reason it feels good when we do acts of kindness is because it's what we are supposed to do. I am not a religious person or anything of the sort but, I think as a species we don't do well on our own. We thrive on companionship and living in community with others. When we work together we are far more capable of tackling problems just like you guys working on these cars together. Enough of my ramblings hehe. I wish you guys a very happy holidays and may 2023 prove to be the best year yet. Cheers, Pete Hollilster, CA
87 Buick gnx was the Pinnacle of Buicks grand national days 3,8 V6 with the turbo smoked any production car including the Vette at the time and it was a great looking car, I loved them

Excellent program! Big tech oligarchs… not cool.
Yall are my new favorite duo. Love that surprise for the server.. And I'm so sorry for your loss, RJ. I just know you're making her so proud.
The special part of those wheels is that they are a pain to wash every surface.
You’re not wrong 😂
had similar wheels on a 88 TA finger poking to clean
Awesome detail. What's the last sound track you were playing by chance?
You guys are good people. God Bless All of You
I believe the logo on the seats signifies that it's a turbo 6.
This is a dream car to own for me, and that's saying a lot since I'm a Ford guy at heart.
LOVED YOU BLESSING THIS GUY AT THE RESTAURANT! Amen and God bless. Sorry about your grandma, RJ - she was and would be so proud of you and the team.
This entire car is special and rare and Very sought after.

Awesome. Brought tears to my eyes.
Many blessings to everyone and that’s awesome much respect man 🤝 that guy was definitely happy for you guys coming into that restaurant and Rest in Paradise Grandma
Is everybody finding Grand Nationals this month? Alex from Legitstreetcars bought one recently too. Nice job guys. Keep it up.
Must be something in the water
Vice grip garage too
It's a nest
There's 10+ in Union County, NC that haven't seen light in 30 years & lots more exist around the US away from prying eyes.

As a detailer I honestly say you did your thing on the GNX and everything else you guys are at the level I’m working to get too respect ✊🏾‼️
Mint condition gnx
GNX style wheels on a GN, I had the same combo. GTA lace style fit if you used all fronts, correct offset no rubbing
The seat logo is known as the “Power 6”.
You guys do beautiful wok! It was so soothing to see this awesome old Buick get cleaned up.
Agreed on the logo, made to reflect that it is a 6 cyl and turbo. As for the wheels, are they after market or being an '87 is that the more desirable GNX?
Good job!

You both totally transformed this GN. Btw, the logo on the seats and mats signifies ‘turbo 6’.
Turbo intercooled v6
exactly
Or as haters of the day called it, the Jiffy Lube logo. Mainly 5.0 Mustang owners, hah!
The twisted arrow symbol on the seats of the Grand National is a reference to its turbo induction, which is the hallmark of that car. That turbo V6 engine is legendary.
one of the best looking cars ever made
Happy Holidays to you guys and your family
great car to work on i remember the one we had as a kid! Merry Christmas!
Absolutely amazing work. The car is stunning. You guys are true professionals!
This Buick reminds me of my 88 cutlass supreme classic.. it had buckets and console as well… miss that car… you did a great job with this it looks great

Awesome what you did for waiter more should do that, the detailing of the Grand National was Awesome.

Dec. 11, 1987 marked the end of all G-Bodies & not just Regals.
that is a great video. great content.
Those are GNX style wheels. Great find, exceptional job cleaning it up.
its been a great year watching you guys... Ive learned a few new things and really enjoyed watching the Channel (grow, the find and even the Collab)... Cant wait to see what 2023 has...

Wow, absolutely amazing work, guys! The before and after is just MINDBLOWING 😱
Hey! You were asking about the Ole Dryer Sheets in the car technique, eh?
I do it as well. Especially when my box of dryer sheets breaks open in the car. Yep.

Merry Christmas man, a beautiful Muscle car, it’s a treasure.
This would be my daily driver if I owned it. Beautiful car!!
Merry Christmas Dude and great job on the Grand National
The Grand National GNX is one of the best looking muscle cars GM produced! The wheels are American Racing and the symbol is Jiffy Lube.
Great job on the car and it was generous of you both to give the money to the employee and so sorry to hear about the loss of RJ's Grandmother.
Fastest production car in the U.S. in 86 and 87 dubbed as the Vette Eater! 3.8 V6turbocharged and intercooled

Wow! It's Darth Vader on wheels! The car that embarrased their Corvette in its day! Condolences to RJ and his family on the loss of your grandmother.
dude is wearing a jumpsuit with some tims🤣
There is a product called Liquid Ebony I think it's bye 3M it works great on black lacquer paint.
The symbol is a 6 that looks like a turbo for the 6 cylinder turbo engine that came with the grand national.

Beautiful and quality car
Omg.. Brilliant
4.3 V6 Turbo motor. It was also used in the Typhoon and Syclone with all wheel drive.
The GN used 3.8 cyclone 4.3

How cute is RJ in that hat! ❤
Amazing detail fellas! I got a one or two of these in my area that are always fun to look at during the local car shows.
Merry Christmas from Devil's Touch Detailing in Southern Maryland!
At 5:31, the engine in this Buick Grand National appears to be a V8 that’s either naturally aspirated or supercharged which gives additional torque

Merry Christmas everybody!!
Happy holidays
The Wheels are original ARE wheels made specifically for the Grand National. They are copyrighted for Buick and ARE specifically for this car.
And to add. These wheels are only given to the GNX models which there are only 547 GNX models made!
