- big ballad from 1964, ive used the original decca recording, compressed backing and added a new stereo backing creating a stereo version, also extended it as its such a great track

Billy was an amazing artist. I've always loved he's music and everything suited him. But ballads was totally made for him, he voice was so beautiful and totally pulled at the heart strings. We will never see the likes of him again. Truly beautiful
So damn sad Billy's life was dogged by the heart issues as they would have placed such a heavy burden on his mental health as well. A lovely sweet guy whose music will live on, keeping his memory alive.

Billy was great, and yes, one of our greatest singers. He never had a No. 1, and what a pity. Why was that? About 90% of the time you can put it down to useless engineers. This is a good, full sound though, well done. If he had the engineers that do our adverts, yes I am sure he would have had several No. 1 hits!

Sorry but the vocals aren't the original studio vocals. I know, I was there when the original was pressed. There's not depth to Billy's voice as there was on the ones we did in 64" and the phrasing and breathing are totally different but a good effort all the same.
