The reason why they did quit now is be cause they couldn't find enough people from Finland that were good enough and at the same time able to commit so much time to the game during an raid tier, heard they had 7 out of 22 players currently that could commit to it. So they decided it's better not to force it, not be cause they lost 2 tiers to Method.

nbdb At the time you could only use disengage whilst in combat, so using it to get where you wanted to be was a thinking outside the box idea, today it is commonplace

Just a couple of questions about the Hunter PoV (is it Kruf?) ... I see there's a Flask of Winds on the go, but what's the other, blue one? Also, at around 7.5 mins, he drops out of AotF, but I don't see a different Aspect appear, am I missing it? Hah! just realized, that was 3 questions ;)
Its really nice to see that cata fights are so hard, you need to come up with special strats to kill the boss. grats paragon on the kill, and good job blizz with the raid content
@williewobbler79 Hunter is me Devai. It's not flask of the winds its elixir of cobra and blue elixir is prismatic (90 resistance). Shaman drops mana tide totem so we dont have NR resistance from totem so therefore i pop aspect of the wild to gain nature resistance aura, after manatide is used ill go back to fox
@devah I mean there had to be some sort of bug on nefarian for feral Druids because on ALL other fights lappe (Druid pov) is boomkin, had to be fight-specific

I still hate al akir. Nothing wrong with the fight, just that he doesn't drop his headpiece, shoulders, cape or sword! He has the most epic gear in the game!
It sucks that Cataclysm as a whole sucked because the final bosses of each raid were epic in their own sense. MOP kind of lost that epic feeling in boss fights. Except for the fight with Lei Shen the Thunder King. But yeah Cataclysm easily had the most epic boss fights. I mean this one for example. This fight takes place in THE SKY. I mean how awesome is that?

+tompatompsson method didnt use a macro, they used a WA. thats not unfair at all, paragon lost absolutly deserved. Algalon was their 1st raidtier were they were famous, they got world 2nd i think. And they also got banned completly justified. im not a method fanboy, bith guilds deserve their spot in wow history, but the Statement that they never lost is just completly untrue.

PBG Dave While my guild wasn't able to down Al'akir even on normal and we only got 2 bosses down heroic (halfus and chimeron) i completely agree. So much fun in every raid and actually a challenge. this tier we're on now at least in foundry is pretty good as well but i'll always cherish Blackwing Descent and Bastion of Twilight!
Aaron Bachle i remember us struggling like crazy because we only formed in T10 so just getting 10 competent raiders together was a pain. we still had the dead weight we used to form the guild in the first place, but i remember after weeks of ballache we got normal nef/hc halfus down in same night and hc halfus was a 2 shot which was amazing. i remember how stupidly overtuned halfus was on normal 10 man in first week or 2. you literally oomed after 10 seconds on healing. broken
I once heard Rogerbrown talking about how shocked everyone was for this boss in particular, because p1 was so broken that everyone just assumed that they would wait until a hotfix to continue progging, and back then the top guilds were very secretive so nobody even knew that Paragon had discovered a way to solve p1 let alone the entire fight
@MrIjijijijjiji Respawning floors is not clever use of game mechanics, while I dont think ensidia should have been banned they are 2 different things. Exploiting a gamebreaking mechanic and stacking highest dot tick dps is not the same thing.

Another fact that i do shitty dps is that survivals ramp up time is bad, as ranged i needed to shoot adds on p2. Al'akir have stacking debuff so he takes over 100% extra damage in the end(all melees stay on boss so they do twice the damage). Keep my raptor strike glyph on so i can actually take the acid rain damage AND i need to stay on aspect of the wild in order to give raid +180 nature resistance. In P3 i don't have pet at all cause it drops to oblivion and despawns. continues...
I needed to replace my bracer enchant with Fur lining: Nature resistance and i coudn't use flask in order to get prismatic elixir (to give me more NR. It was -130 agi from bracer enchant - 300 agi from flask = 430 agi decrease). I was also first on ranged dps. I know that some of the players where waiting p2 to get in to the fight.(who are also killing adds on p2). So please, if you have something to add...
I wonder why... Every guild is copying the music from paragon's videos. They dont even bother puting songs that fit to what's happening in the fight. Unlike paragon they just pick two stepps from hell and they think that they've made the best choice. First the spine of deathwing world first has few songs from tsfh randomly put in the video and it was as a whole awful soundtrack. And now blood legion did the same on their mandess kill... Now lets take a look at paragon's al'akir video?EPIC!

When cata came the balance of power tipped a bit and resto shamans became the nono-for a guild searching for world firsts. Mainly due to the limitations the class' spells put on the healer. Why take class X when class Y provides a better chance for a successful kill
@bloodpuremager Well, it can't be classfied as an exploit because: A. It's against the terms and they would have got banned for it. B. If it was an exploit, blizzard is smart enough to to fix it. There was an exploit during 3.3 when a guild got the worlds LK kill using a exploit, and they got banned for a week. Point to my comment: You can't really call that an exploit, that's just Paragon being smart and working around the mechanics.

I've done it by myself aswell but 25man hc is abit different thing... Hell, if you have seen the Tripple D video the hunter jumps off a ledge (that would kill you) and disengages INTO a small door opening to LOS someone. Grats on the kill but nothing epic about pressing a single button that every hunter should have bound.

Paragon may have killed these encounters pre-nerf or pre-fix -or whatever you want to call it-but that does not mean that they don't have to go back in and adjust their WORLD FIRST strats to kill the encounter again. Just because they killed it once doesnt mean it's a cakewalk the next time, or the third time, and with encounters changing right underneath them, I think you have to hand it to them for being such good sports about it.
@Sephin you are far away from the point, this is just hugely annoying nothing else paragon kills nefarian with 7 "rip" feral druids, few days after that mechanic got fixed paragon kills sinestra whelps near the twilight eggs to ignore the growing pools, next day you see fires on that kill locations paragon kills al'akir with half of the raid standing at the entrance, next day slipsteams becomes no longer available while in combat .. they also didnt kill nefarian again yet.. so ??

that is kinda simple mechanic, if you never used disengage to do stuff like that, you must be a one fucking dumb hunter...

I remember beating this as the last player alive on 10 man as the paladin tank. Nothing ever came close to the epicness of this battle.

Do dps warriors exist at all now ? I havent played the game since end of TBC when i raided Swp and they sure had a great value back then.
@InfernalArrows The lightnings in phase one only hit once on normal. In this video they hit every 0.5 seconds and stay for 24 seconds.

When cata came the balance of power tipped a bit and resto shamans became the nono-for a guild searching for world firsts. Mainly due to the limitations the class' spells put on the healer. Why take class X when class Y provides a better chance for a successful kill
@bloodpuremager Well, it can't be classfied as an exploit because: A. It's against the terms and they would have got banned for it. B. If it was an exploit, blizzard is smart enough to to fix it. There was an exploit during 3.3 when a guild got the worlds LK kill using a exploit, and they got banned for a week. Point to my comment: You can't really call that an exploit, that's just Paragon being smart and working around the mechanics.
@Heavencrafter I agree with you there that it isn't that imba but I bet also that your mates have done it on 10 man and they say it's piss easy... I've done it by myself aswell but 25man hc is abit different thing... I am not saying that he needs to be fucking superman but it demands skills and xp on playing hunter or just if you are generally better than avarage you can do it without problems.

Faceroll class? Are you trolling? I said NOTHING about the encounter. All I was saying was that every single comment is about how epic the hunter is, but I dont see whats epic about a disengage back on a ledge. He goes off, he jumps back on. Where is the "epic" in that? Sure its during a world 2nd kill, but chances are he hit that EVERY single shot and got some but missed some.

You jump off a ledge and press a button to get back on? Whats epic about that? Hunters do that all the time in arenas between ledges. Hell, if you have seen the Tripple D video the hunter jumps off a ledge (that would kill you) and disengages INTO a small door opening to LOS someone. Grats on the kill but nothing epic about pressing a single button that every hunter should have bound.

lol funny we revere these guys as incredible and godlike in a sense! Yet has anyone here ever stopped to think how do they have this much time on their hands to do this every day? I hate to bring negative waves here I am just saying I began to think about that and how weird it was the image these people have gotten for greatness yet probably have not achieved great success in any specific field (besides WoW). @TheTerrorclaus Yes, but, you are forgetting one thing. Paragon may have killed these encounters pre-nerf or pre-fix -or whatever you want to call it-but that does not mean that they don't have to go back in and adjust their WORLD FIRST strats to kill the encounter again. Just because they killed it once doesnt mean it's a cakewalk the next time, or the third time, and with encounters changing right underneath them, I think you have to hand it to them for being such good sports about it.

paragon kills nefarian with 7 "rip" feral druids, few days after that mechanic got fixed
paragon kills sinestra whelps near the twilight eggs to ignore the growing pools, next day you see fires on that kill locations
paragon kills al'akir with half of the raid standing at the entrance, next day slipsteams becomes no longer available while in combat ..
they also didnt kill nefarian again yet..
so ??
