I don't mind protests but blocking traffic causing congestion blocking emergency vehicles etc is not okay, same with destroying art or interrupting events that just makes the public hate their cause. They should try and change these things they're not happy with instead of having tantrums like children.
A protest is supposed to be disruptive because nothing else worked. I agree about destroying art and blocking traffic, but a protest is supposed to disrupt something.
@@user-le6xf7vu7t obviously not but a protest has to be disruptive. Which means its okey to stop traffic. and spray goverment buildings with slogans. What if every protest didn't involve rioting, taking over buildings, vandalism, disrupting traffic, destruction of property, looting, and other criminal behavior?
The issue in todays age is peaceful protest vs riots are a fine line. In the USA you have to file a petition to have a large protest in order to notify authorities. Almost every Antifa and BLM protests were unsolicited and essentially were illegal protests which turned into riots or acts of violence. There are defined boundaries in which a protest can occur and those are defined in the jurisdiction in which they are enacted. The main issue is what you said in that, legal rights of sovereign individuals are increasingly encroached upon by a government that continues to overstep its boundaries into an authoritarian and borderline tyrannical nature. The government creating unreasonable boundaries to the point where a peaceful lawful protest becomes so difficult that the alternative happens is unfortunately a burden that lies upon the governments over reach of control, this is not the fault of the people but an overstep of the authority of the government. Protest is an inalienable right.
Many of the blms had permits to protest. Antifa is not a highly organized group and usually keeps a low profile. Despite Trump claimed antifa did Jan 6 . Charges were dropped against the arson claims for a 2017 protest. After Trump blamed them. They were acquitted. White terrorist groups are the highly watched groups and are deemed to be the 1 threat. Antifa doesn't make the list neither does BLM.
I’d like to see the statistics on how effective these disruptive types of protests are as opposed to having huge gatherings in parks near political gatherings. Activities that raise awareness and for want of a better term build positive vibes vs protests that hold people hostage by blocking roads and thoroughfares and getting in people’s faces, being a nuisance and generating bad vibes. I’m sure that by blocking roads and stopping people working or travelling hasn’t gained a single supporter for their causes.
Icc knows but ignore the : FACTS: The Library of Alexandria was destroyed immediately upon the Muslim conquest, supported by a statement attributed to Caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab: "If what is written contradicts the Quran, then it deserves to be burned." The same thing happened in India and Egypt.
So... protesting is basically whining to the authority that gave you rights (the government) to continue to allow you to keep said rights. Nanny State 101.
power for the people by the people. the authority is given by the people that means those fucks in power have to listen to the ppl. Thats how democracy works.

This is so very important. Protesting is a right.

Do you think protest should be quiet and ignorable?
Blocking traffic destroying public property or private owned businesses is not
Peoples' lives matter more than property.

Then it would function as intended… lawfully. 👍🏽
It’s fine to protest. Just don’t break any laws (like blocking streets, etc.) while you’re doing it.
I think its okey to block traffic, you have to be a nuisance for the ppl to care. And when ppl get angry about it, politicians feel the presure.
