  • A panel session with speakers who co-authored ‘The Anti-Racist Social Worker’ talking about their personal experiences of activism and challenge to racism within their roles.
This session will explore the work done by members of the group over the last year and how they have been able to affect change, within their organisations or their own practice, offering ideas and challenges to everyone in the sector, at any level, to make their own changes and challenge racism.
After the panel, members of The Anti-Racist Steering Group including representatives from the Principal Social Workers’ Network for Adults and Children and Families, Social Work England, and What Works for Children’s Social Care will provide findings from the anti-racism survey launched in June 2021 and engagement events from January 2022 which will form the basis of a sector-wide action plan.
