Ms Do presents a very detailed, articulate event history; the SC for ANZ is scratching around in her cross examination and seems to be getting nowhere, almost looking to verbal the witness it seems. Ms Do is a very impressive witness, containing herself very well throughout particularly considering what she's up against in the ANZ counsel. Nice intervention by the Commissioner.
Bottom line: it shouldn't be that hard to open a basic bank account - it's difficult not to conclude that ANZ has an agenda to discourage basic no-fee accounts. Taking advantage in the aboriginal communities to profit as much as possible (skimming taxpayer money) - reprehensible behaviour the Commission will conclude I reckon.

Miss Do conducted herself impeccably, it’s easy to see why the public still don’t hold banks in high regard after seeing the cross examination of her by the banks representative.

I have a recollection of my experience with one of the banks, perhaps not quite accurate, as it has been a while. It may have been ANZ.
An overdraft with high interest rate/fees was made available on my account without my knowledge. What that meant - The ATM, instead of telling me that I did not have sufficient funds in the account, would dispense cash. The account would incur interest/fees.
