This guy has the best tutorials in youtube 😅. Explaining everything in details, plus you get to learn some barber history and terms. Well done Matty. 💪🏼
I'm amazed how well this video has been made. The cut is flawless, your skills are amazing, and the whole video was so enjoyable that I wanted to watch it again straight away. Well done sir🙏
I’ve been watching A TON of fading videos for months, from all the top RUclips barbers...This is the best one so far. Great work. Helps a lot. Much thanks
Wow.. I just wished I would've seen this video sooner. What can I say.. PERFECT and FLAWLESS. I wish you lived closer to me. I'm located in Michigan USA. I cut my own hair and for friends and family. I will definitely try these steps. Thanks for this video
Maddie Conrad, You sir are AWWWWESOME!!! Our Instructor, Ms. Roni LOVES you!!!! She is the one who introduced us to you & your genius!!! I am a Cosmetology student at The Beauty School in NC & you have become one of my idols now!!! I hope to take one of your classes in the future!!! You are an amazing human-being!! Rock on!!
I really like how you describe each step and and how to do it well. I love that you give us the list of each tool you use. This is how I got equipped for my barber course. You are a real inspiration ✂️🧔
Loved the video. I've been cutting my own hair since I was about 18 (I'm 42 now). I'd love to see a video on how to do a similar haircut for wavy to curly hair, so that I can get comparable results with my hair. Thanks in anticipation.
I don’t like or comment on many vids, but you Sir are a pro. You have actually inspired me to become a barber. I love your tutorials. They are easy to follow and they are set above the rest. Thank you. Keep up the great work. I wish I lived nearby. I would definitely visit your shop. Any advice on barber colleges? There’s a Paul Mitchell MTI college close to me. Any advice would be helpful.
So first off, Matty, this video is just about the most perfect fade tutorial on the RUclipss. However, I just wanted to kindly point out that in the first half, you only faded down to a .5 guard halfway closed, but on the other side you faded all the way down to .5 fully closed. Wanted to make sure everything was even on both sides! 😂 Peace and good vibes, brotha.
@mattyconradgrooming Not to worry, my good man. I think those of us who were cutting their own hair in step with the video (or maybe just me?) figured it out fairly quickly. 😅👍🏻
@@mattyconradgrooming This video was probably one of the most clearly explained ones I have seen . I'm a barber of 30 years and totally loved it ! Kudos
I have a question please. Why use the 1 closed, then the half guard open? Why not go right to the half guard open after the 1 open? Thank you for the great video
What a great video, is there a chance to you, that you make the same process with a andis master? The result is the same? Because the thing that I know is that andis cut more hair without guards right?
I noticed you are using wahl guards on your babyliss clippers. Is that on purpose because I do the same thing! I like the wahl guards better. Or is it just me
Oh man. I am not very good at working in a mirror. I might give it a try though. If you see me in my next video with a seriously messed up haircut you’ll know it was a failure.
I notice you uses the #1 guard open to fully closed on one side. On the other side you used #1 guard open to half closed. Any particular reason for that?
I must have screwed that up in editing. I used the same process for both sides. However a #1 guard closed in theory should be the same as a .5 guard open but it almost never is... that’s why it pays to go over it again.
@@mattyconradgrooming got it. You go open 1, then half way open 1, and you use your half open, middle, closed. Thanks for the great content. Love your work and your brand.
Absolutely. for slight cases I highly suggest WASH from Victory Brand... it uses gentle plant based cleansers, Super conditioning oils, and Activated charcoal as a detoxifier. Using it daily greatly reduces skin irritation and dryness.

Why can't I ever find a barber who can do a great job like this? It's so frustrating how many people out there who cut hair who can't cut hair well
I have a video that might help you find one

I'm in your same boat. MI, self haircuts, the lot. 😂 Glad this video is helping some of us in the Great Winter Wonderland.

Best, most thorough fade and cut tutorial I’ve found. Thx Matty from a barber school newbie! You’re an excellent teacher/communicator.
Wow, thanks!
I'm now entirely convinced that every man I've ever seen with this haircut in the Lower Mainland got it from you 😂
This content is so refreshing compared to other RUclips barbers. Much more my speed thank you!
Sir I salute you. Today I learnt this hair cut perfectly. You made my work easy sir. I want to meet u.

Best haircut video I've seen on RUclips 😍👏👏
For someone who has no idea what the hell to do with my beard you help so much love your vids man
Love the “crossing corners” tip
Hey Matty! thanks for the amazing tutorials.. id love to hear a review on which shears you use, and suggest for barbers that are Canadian local

Matt AMAZING video!!! Love the explanations and videography that capture the details!!
Good detailed video recommend this for learners, but good for all skill levels
Please do one with a really low fade ❤️
Good idea! I’ll try to get one put together!

Hi ! I have a question, should i use beard balm? I tend to have a "not so shiny" beard and the fly away hairs are not looking good either.
Awesome video! Do you think you can do one for just a beard to bald head fade?
Great video Conrad
Absolutely loved this video 10/10 💪 🔥
Great haircut man
Thanks for watching!
Awesome content fella 🔥
@MattyConrad Are you using Wahl clipper guards on the Babyliss Pro Clipper? If so, which ones are they?
Amazing 🤩

Thank you very much 🙏🏻
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome!
That's a great video ❤💈
I wish I could pull this style off
Excellent tutorial! 👍🏼 can I ask what make and model your trimmer is please?
Babyliss skeleton
Smooth 😎
How is this same fade done by using a detachable blade clipper?
Just a boss.
Hmm how can I buy your prodcts from Switzerland? 😕
Amazing Content! Well don’t Matty!
Thank you sir 🙏🏻
Goddamn awesome👌🏼👊🏼

Sir any tips for dandruff??
Absolutely. for slight cases I highly suggest WASH from Victory Brand... it uses gentle plant based cleansers, Super conditioning oils, and Activated charcoal as a detoxifier. Using it daily greatly reduces skin irritation and dryness.
I would assume your clippers are 0 gapped
My clippers are set just slightly back from 0... my trimmers are 0 gapped
Thanks for asking!
How much a haircut like that would set a poor soul back?????
Maybe it's just because I've been rockin' the big baldy for 10+ years, but I've yet to see a more douchy haircut than a parted skin fade.
Anyone else notice the booger hanging out?
its a nose ring 😉
Awesome!
