Certainly was not a distraction the Hurricanes wanted during the playoffs. Kevin Weekes just wanted to drive up some clicks. Deal got done, it was never news, Rod said for months now he was just waiting and wanted his coaching staff taken care of.
Don't see necas leaving carloina. I would say they need a goaltender if anything and find more scoring depth

Ehlers making 6 million a year, highly unlikely coming to Ottawa, they need two top right shot D, and two meat and potatoes veteran forwards… Ehlers not going to happen IMO
as a sens fan while both of these are pipe dreams they are possible with adding in forsberg or Korpi (pls someone take him). they really dont have the cap space coming up to fit either of their contracts (tbh idk what necas is gonna command for his contract but im guessing 6m+) while still having to resign Pinto and address all their needs. Zub and JBD honestly work for another year for the rhd so only 1 needs to be added this offseason, they need to trade a goalie and either commit to sogaard or sign a vet to a 1 year deal, then add to the top 6. they are not in a good place roster construction wise rn, I expect Staios to be active in trying to add but these guys will want too much money
These aren’t rumours, just people making up possible trades in their mind. Which means they almost always one sided.
Matty Jo got most of his cookies on the third line with Greig and tarasenko at the start of the season. Went quiet in the top 6

Jets are always rumoured to be interested in Chychrun. As a Jets fan I don’t see the fit. He is mediocre defensively and he is an LHD which we already have many. Also if he doesn’t want to be in Ottawa, why would he want to be in Wpg?

@@zachhaist6426 he had one really good year but if you look at his career it’s not great he might even be closer to a fringe second line center. His numbers this year were not as good as zacha or coyle. So if your dropping one of those guys I could be ok with 7

John Davidson has done so well in Columbus...Mark Hunter is a brilliant hockey man and would make a fabulous GM at ANY level! IF I was John, I wouldn't waste anytime siging him! Joseph is a wonderful hockey player but the dumbass coaches (DJ, AlFredo and Martin) misused him. He is fearless, never quits, physical, VERY RESPONSIBLE (check his+/-) AND can score goals. He can play one of the top 3 lines and when he skated with Ridley and Vlad on the 3rd line, they were FABULOUS and one of tge best 3rd lines in the NHL! Moving him would be a mistake but not surprising...Staios hasn't shown me ANYTHING yet. He absolutely SOULD know where the holes are after watching an entire season. Elhers uis a wonderful player but the D is like Maleeta Coffee filters...allowing the best to pass right through. The Team needs Goaltending and some tough defencemen who will make the opposition pay the price for crossing the blueline, going in a corner and standing in front of the net! The SENS are an offencive Team and at one time last year, were 9th in the League (with one of the worst PPs). With brilliant gangsters from yesteryear behind the bench, everything went down the SHI**ER!

Dude. Do you actually think and examine things or do you just repeat what ESPN and TSN say? Dundon isn’t cheap. You know who was? The former canes owner. They spend to the cap every year but they have a cap structure.
You’re just talking out of your ass on the canes. Normally you are solid but I’m not sure you’re doing much more than regurgitating Friedman.
You don’t think Dundon is a bit on the cheap side? To answer your questions I analyze and form my opinions. For you to say “Normally I’m solid” tells me you watch often enough and if you do you’d now that I’m pretty objective and do form my own opinions. However, if other news outlets are saying the same things about Dundon maybe there is some truth to it? The fact that Brind’Amour had to go through what he did confirms that. Was the previous Canes owner cheap? Sure…is Dundon a better owner? Yes absolutely. He’s brought a lot of stability to the franchise but that doesn’t mean he isn’t very frugal with his $$. Even Seth Jarvis alluded to this in a recent interview when asked about his next contract. Sounds like you may be a bit sensitive to anything remotely negative about the Canes. I don’t hate the Canes. I’ve picked them to either win the Cup or make the final 3 or 4 times in recent years.

Just because Friedman thinks dundon is cheap doesn’t make him cheap. Are the canes a cap team annually under him or not? Is that cheap? Is it cheap to renovate the arena and develop an entertainment district? Is it cheap to go get Guentzel and seem committed to bringing him back? Is it cheap to sign Orlov to 2x$7m? Was it cheap when they matched Aho’s offer sheet? Or when Dundon resigned Brind’Amour twice now?
“If other news outlets”… look you’re not an insider. You’re a RUclipsr so I know you have to follow actual reporting to make your videos. But you’re lazy on the canes man. Super lazy. You’re repeating lazy narratives that haven’t been proven out.
I do watch almost daily if not daily. You’re far from the best, but you’re good. Take some constructive criticism and stop with the lazy repeat of what I could watch on TSN.
Brind’Amour signed a new deal today, basically as soon as possible once the season ended.
The biggest issue is that you’re trying to put out one or more videos a day when there isn’t any GD news. So you put something out to just have a video out and then actual news breaks and makes your video from an hour ago irrelevant.
So in summary try using critical thinking and ask “does this popular narrative actually have teeth?” And you might find that half these BS trade rumours and crap like dundon being cheap is just lazy reporting. The evidence exists that Dundon is no cheaper than any other billionaire sports franchise owner.
So yes you’re pretty objective sometimes. Other times you’re just desperately filling time with crap.

I’m not sensitive to negativity. I could too a hundred decisions the Canes have made but they’re not cheap. Being smart with money and a salary structure and business model is not the same thing as being cheap.
There might be a team that would pay Jarvis $9m this off season, that doesn’t make Carolina cheap if they don’t. There’s only so much money to go around and not every franchise can pull a Vegas.

You clearly just rely on other headlines and reporting to cover all this stuff. But maybe objectivity would include actually analyzing if the Canes spend any less money than similar franchises.
