So glad that you are ok, it could have been very different with the speed, angle and any small detail. Thankfully you got home and you have a very cute, worried little nurse hovering over you. It's definitely worth going in as soon as possible and getting it checked out properly so that you can catch anything before it gets worse and possibly lengthens your recovery time. Let's hope that it's a sprain and not anything more. Best wishes for a speedy recovery, take care.👍❤️🇿🇦
Yeah, these things happen so quickly, whereas the recovery can be so lengthy. Amber's a real sweetheart. She really feels the moment something's wrong with you and wants to help directly. I'll be going to town tomorrow and hopefully a physio has got time to have a look, otherwise I'll make an appointment. For now it's not gotten worse and I feel optimistic about it, but best to be sure! Thank you and regards from the north!
I live in the area of the United States where crude oil was first discovered in 1859. This resulted in a “black gold” rush to the area. Thousands and thousands of people rushed to this area in 1860 for work and to strike it rich. Thousands of oil wells were drilled in my area using manual equipment. These holes in the ground are still present today. Some are 9 meters deep and half a meter across. Whenever we get friends visiting the area, we instruct them to “stay on the paths” in the woods and never venture alone in the woods (for obvious reasons). You see where I am going with this. 😊. Get well. !!! Hopefully you’ll be back to normal by summer. As your other commenter has mentioned, I am also in the hospital with my 93yrs dad who has been in the hospital since Dec30th. Thanks for the video and update.
Love that story! Don't venture off the trodden path comes to mind. There are some paths here that were created over the years by logging companies, so I try to follow them. Some are better than others. This one is clear to follow, but it's not clear what's under all that snow and that's where my lack of experience showed yesterday. Always keep your eyes on the road ahead!! 2 weeks in the hospital is no fun. Hope you're dad is happy that you're visiting and could cheer him up a bit with a moaning Dutchman video...
Hi Vince and family, sorry to hear about your Snowmobile accident. Hidden objects buried in the snow are a real hazard. Glad the the Snowmobile was still drivable and you had the strength and ability to drive yourself home. It was great to see Amanda by your side comforting you. She seems very aware of her surroundings and willing to step in and help where she can. Hope that the Urgent care/Hospital was able to access your level of injury and direct you to any other care needed. Having the Homestead and all of the work needed daily, is a real concern in times of illness or injury. Wish I was close by to lend a hand to help through your recovery. Wish you the best to make a full recovery as soon as you possibly can. If you can't make any other content, update videos like this would be good to let us know what progress you are making on your recovery journey.
These snowmobile suspensions can take some serious shocks. It's quite impressive. Amber is an absolute sweetheart. The moment I'm slightly hurt or struggle with something, she wants to help or give me a hug. Very touching! That's really nice that you'd help us if you'd live nearby. I'll be going to town tomorrow and see if a physio has time to help me. Otherwise I'll make an appointment. It's not gotten worse, so that's already a big relieve! I'll certainly keep you updated on my situation!
Wish you a fast recovery. It might be scary at this point but I believe you will get better. I love ' home' vlogs, actually the producers personality makes them great, not the place of recording. By the way I watched you from my mum' s phone as she is at the hospital. Thanks for sharing , I think this might be very useful for snowbike users 😇
Thank you ☺ It's certainly frustrating, but I also know I'll get better. Hopefully sooner rather than later! I'll take note of the fact that you love home vlogs. Please pass on our regards to your mother and hopefully me complaining about my shoulder made her feel a bit better...
A lot of times when the pain shoots throught the shoulder then you might have torn your rotator cuff, it happened to me. Hope it heals and starts to feel beter until you can be seen by a doctor,
Good to hear that you are doing well now. In one way I also want to sit it out and let it get better by itself, but with my other shoulder that also meant a surgery eventually and a long recovery, so better to go to the doctor.

Ouch. How long did that take you to recover from?
@@northernhomestead2024 I wait so long to go to the doctor that I injured it more and had to have surgery, but I am good now.
