So good. This is a full ass track! You are knocking it out of the park with with these Tracker+ videos. Perc sounds fantastic, really love what you've created with it here 💙
Thank you as always my friend! ❤ Creating a pad i was happy with was definitely a challenge though. I mean a drum synth should be able to do that right!? 😅
Yep, every sound was created with PERC. Funny enough the warbly siren was the easiest to create. Now a pad sound on the other hand? Oh boy did i have a hard time with it 🤣
@@lebronsinclair8012 Short answer. yes. Long answer: Synth sounds you create are saved as .patch files, If you resample something and it results in a sample, it becomes an instrument file (.pti). Both can be shared easily with others.
This track is genuinely beautiful. Your sense of melody, variations, drum breaks... All of it, it's so nicely balanced. Lovely. I also like the fact that you put it all together using just one synth. It reminds me of an album by S8JFOU called "Op-Echo" (see his bandcamp) in which he uses only Ableton's Operator and Echo. Brilliant album. Anyway, thank you for making this track and bringing musical joy to my ears this morning!
@@sandroidmusic Haha! I have the original Tracker and will still keep it alongside the new one. This is me having fun with it at Sonicstate's first EMOM. 🙂 ruclips.net/video/aWq2UT-BWsY/видео.html
That's excellent to hear. I frequent Polyend Backstage, though it can occasionally prove challenging to differentiate between speculative rumors, established facts, and the cacophony of customer grievances, haha.
Thank you so much! ❤ The M8 is a very capable tracker in its own rights! You could probably add external midi knobs/faders for something similar on the M8? I'm sure you could map some fun parameters to midi cc no?
@@sandroidmusic - I’m sure I could…just haven’t :) I’ve been going a bit minimalist for live gigs. Just the Syntakt/Octatrack, a bass vi, couple fx boxes and a looper. All mounted on a large pedalboard. The M8 kinda got relegated to writing the occasional tune and loops to feed the OT at the moment
This work is amazing, I really love the atmosphere. I'd like to do this similar style but I can't afford the new version of this device. Is it possible to do it using the old polyend tracker?
Thank you so much ❤. Eventhough all the sounds very created on the device (using the new PERC synth engine), there's nothing stopping you from creating the same atmosphere/style with the OG Tracker. You'll just have to create your own samples or have a selection of samples you enjoy.
I'm still waiting for that too. There was also a sticker sheet in the package that says PHZ, there's more to come. I can only use 3 different synths per pattern, is that the same for you?
@@Wyldinger its actually 3 per project and 8 voices in total(perc is only one voice though). You can use them over again on different tracks etc but only the same patch I think. 8 more tracks for synths and midi really just means 3 tracks of synths and 5 for midi. So if you aren't sequencing midi then its kind of like its only 11 tracks and not really 16.
thanks its on their site now too. Looks like they just put up everything for the T+ last night on their site. Manuals firmware etc. Thanks so much! This sounds great too and yeah perc is cool. Wish it could have separate outs on the usb audio though.
So um, where is the PErc engine? I only have 4 engines in mine, did I miss a firmware update? Can you help? Is it just in there and im trying to access it wrong?
The firmware that was shipped probably didn't contain it. Go grab the latest open beta from here: backstage.polyend.com/t/tracker-1-0-1-open-beta/11238
@@sandroidmusic “ooooooo”! I totally saw the little card beneath the manual maybe 5 mins after I commented. Didn’t think the back of the card was a link to the beta. Thank you.
Have a Tracker+ and want to have a peek at the project files for this track? I got you:

Proper 80s cop movie soundtrack piece to be played after the death of their partner alongside flashbacks.

Wow, all with just the perc engine? That's crazy.
The little warbly sirens were a really smart addition, this is all fantastic. Nicely done!

Can’t wait to get the tracker plus. They finally listened a bit. Nice track!
Is there a way to save and send sounds you created to other people?

I'll definitely check his Bandcamp out! Thanks for the tip! 🤗
You've single-handedly sold me the Tracker +. Actual music. Beautiful.

Loving the sounds. I heard a rumour that perc might be coming to Play+ too? That would be lovely.
Polyend said it was coming this summer.

Beautiful work! I'm still going to try to convince myself the M8 is all I need for a tracker, but this does seem a lot more performative
