Hey man, I've been playing trumpet for 7 years now and I just happened across this video for the second time. The first I saw it was when I first started playing, and it inspired me to become a better player. I completely forgot about it until just now, but I just want to say thank you. Making music has gotten me through tough times, and I honestly wouldn't be here without it.

My teacher always taught me that the D should be pulled about the amount you're doing in the video (of course you'd have to listen and correct the right amount), and the C# even more. The D# and G# or any other note should be left. Of course, don't listen to me if your teacher tells you otherwise, he could have a good reason for that. You have a very nice tone color, I think improving your pitch will greatly improve the overall performance.

I can't really give you an advice for that, generally, the more expensive the better (giving away $200 for a trumpet is like throwing it out on the window). You should look for different models, check their price, and once you found a few, search for reviews and decide which one fits you the most.

Beautiful tone sounds good and dropping the c and d sounds really good like that! I've been playing for about 10 years. What horn is that? I play a getzen eterna 2 silver I paid $1000 for it and the silver gives it the bright sound but your tone is pretty good! Do you have sheet music for this peice?
