Dear Bevani, I had tears in my eyes when I saw this video. Only today I saw your videos by chance. I always wanted to learn the flute when I was young but my parents could not afford it. I am 53yrs old now and guess it's too late. But listening to you play is like an out of this world experience. Music goes across culture, race and religion. Your videos are so well done and complement your wonderful talent with the flute. The music is so beautiful I am simply speechless. Hoping to see more of you on RUclips. I started playing when I was 33, sir. It is never too late. There are starter flutes that you can try. Heck, I started with a 5 dollar recorder before I managed to buy a cheap flute.
River flows in you... more like river flows in my eyes. I got so emotional, you playing is so beautiful and spiritual. I'll be doing Grade 3 flute exams soon... hopefully I can reach ur standards too.
1 YEAR later and i had to come back listen to this some again. I chose Music GCSE and you're probably the reason why. You're the reason i didn't give up on the flute when anxiety and stress became overbearing. I owe it to you. Thank you so much. Who would've thought this video wouldve changed my life lol? xx
You don’t know how much I come back to this, I used to play the flute in grade 7 and 8 but then I had to stop because I didn’t have the flute anymore but I miss it everyday and this just brings back memories and maybe one day I will have enough money to afford one 🥺😁

Bevani, Thanks for all your videos. I also play the flute, but stopped when I was a kid. A teach told me it was a wait of my time. It have be something I have regretted for years. Recently, I found your videos on youtube.. You gave me the courage to pull out my flute and play once again. I have forgotten just how much I loved it. The crown is missing and the foot needs work, but at least I'm back to doing what I love, and I have you to think for it. So thank you. I still am listening to this song only... a day on...! Have listened to many others, but come back to this one. My favorite! I think I know why. It speaks pages to me, with the to and fro of simple but well combined harmonies... and the harp makes it all come together! Lovely. Beautiful. Wonderful! I am a good whistler, and can whistle the whole song with the flute and harp. Including the subtilities! And cresc as decrescendos. So heart warming. Thank you, Bevani and the harpist! 🎶💗

@@huayu5555 while it's not as hard as a violin I would guess, it still demands effort like any instrument (or any skill) ; so just lots and lots of practice @v@ ! What's important is the perseverance. Once you get your feet in the water for few months you will understand (if you haven't yet)

practice your intervals slurred. I like to start with high E natural and come down chromatically E-D# E-D E-C E-C# etc. all the best to you!!!
