Yes agree with you, too small, too heavy, too expensive and takes up to much room. Probably better for the caravan market because they stay longer in one place. Best use would be to stop people walking through the pitch which seems to be a new problem. Here’s an Idea for one of your “how to vlogs” Site etiquette, or how not to annoy your fellow campers and site wardens. Shouldn’t be necessary but sadly is.🤔

I love this Pick-kit fence. Would have been great to see the review done with the whole kit. I am sure Poppy would love to have an ‘outdoor area’ to go out of the annexe into. I can see a million uses for it and would not hesitate to have a little inconvenience in size within the motorhome to give my best friends a little space and time outside safely within the pen. Love it!

Great video and it gives people options for those with pets. We have two dogs and we use the windbreaks but they deprive the dogs of breeze on hot days. The picket fence is ideal . Down side for us would be storage they’re quite big and we’ve a big tow car too.

It’s a good idea, however not sure where it would fit on a pitch once you have an awning out and it’s a little in the small side compared. The spiral stakes in the ground take up much less space.

Ha ha....Poppy has been in there before and she didn't want to go back in. A good product but maybe a bit large and weighty. We shall probably stick with our windbreaks.

I was wonder g how secure it is when it's not in a box formation. I saw promo pic with one end leaning against vehicle. Surely a dog just push its way through? I like the idea of this but think they could ha e designed it to be more compact so anels fit inside each other or fold in middle. That would justify the cost then. I can see good uses for this as a child pen too if you got toddler. But would need 8 panels at least. Also the gate should be more of a gate. With a bar going along the bottom. Love your shows. If you about near Baldock services before 2 pm Fri sat Sun come say heo to me at apple green southbound on a1. Be great to say hello and buy you a coffee if we have any beans.

We have a caravan and having just got back from an 18 nights away holiday covering 3 sites it would take up too much room and to be honest our Dylan a 10 year old cocker would not settle as he has to be within touching distance of us. I think it would be better suited to a back garden to keep rabbits etc safe a more permanent fixture rather than constantly putting it up and down. So it's not for us. I do like the look and the colour it's well made and can serve a purpose in the correct setting

definitely need 2 kits as way too small for a dog.
It does look a bit territorial and off putting myself....plus expensive, large and cumbersome. Not for me....as I either attach the steel dog lead to either the Moho steps or a screw in stake.

I have used fencing for my dogs on many occasions (not on formal campsites, mostly off grid dog shows) and have always used Coveva windbreaks. They come with rigid aluminium framing and marine fabric. They are tall at 1.2 meters, are very strong when up and have a gate and support poles instead of guy-ropes. Downside is that they take up a lot of room and are quite heavy and hard work to put together on your own. I've long been looking for something lighter and more practical, but unfortunately Pick-Kit doesn't fit the bill. It's too small in height for my Stafford dogs and and although easier to put together than my set up, it's far too flimsy and the dogs could easily burst through it and knock it down. Weight wise it looks just as heavy as mine and because it's rigid (whereas mine rolls up), it would take up just as much room. I suppose if you had a small dog it may be useful, but I don't think you could make it very big on an official campsite as you only have your footprint to work with. I do however see that it could be useful for garden use to deter animals from certain areas and has the added flexibility of being able to move it around. All in all I can see some uses for it, but it's not for me.

To your credit, you did your best to introduce a product that was sent to you. The Pick-Kit Fencing reminds me of the sheep hurdles on the family farm, just with a worse connecting system. You said that it was made and sold in the UK. Do the world a favour and keep it there.

Thanks for testing this Bob. I sometimes wonder if we use too much on camp sites. Awnings often yes but not always, sometimes wind breaks if necessary, but picket fences ?! It takes away from the openness of being outside that we enjoy.

On a recent trip we used our isabella windbreaks to corral our dogs outside the awning.we managed to stay within the pitch, which is a must on camc sites,I would be concerned that the 8 panel may be too extensive for this.transporting it could be a pain as you alluded to.i wonder,as its 2 staffing we have if it would stand up to them.thanks for the vlog might be something to think about.

Yes, I shoot the driving footage with a Hero 8 mounted in the window on a GoPro suction mount. Jenny uses a GoPro Remote to record the foootage, so I don't touch the camera. I also have a Dashcam that's on all the time. The GoPro tends to overheat if left on all the time.

To me, that looks flimsy, like that garden edging that goes dusty and cracks after a while. It's hollow and overly flexible too, which certainly isn't a sign of strength, particularly if a dog bites at it. Design improvements that could be done:
Make it out of "blow mould' plastic (kind of like how "Little Tykes" toys and crash barriers are made) that would make it more durable, less likely to crack, and therefore safe on a dogs mouth. It would also make the panels much much lighter. Easier to erect too, just unbag, fill with some water, done. These look a faff.
Make each individual panel fold via a lockable hinge in the middle of each panel = half size bags to store. Plus you can make a more rounded pen, rather than a set square, with less panels. Plus the locking hinge could double as a gate system, rather than faffing with those base plates. What a palaver.
You could mould the base into the panel (like a crash barrier, the way they slot together) easier to produce, less to carry, and CHEAPER. In fact using blow mould the whole item would cost less to buy and make. That's why they use that technology to make DISPOSABLE road barriers etc. For extra stability, instead of bases, pegs etc, fill with water or sand. That would also be safer for dogs who are curious and bite and pull at things. What would you prefer? A couple of bite holes in a hollow panel and a little (repairable) water leak that the dog might lap at, or a dogs mouth cut & hurt by sharp metal pegs?

Waste of money in my opinion, our 2 Labrador’s are trained and don’t need pens, we use the screw in the ground and tie them up when on site but tbh they don’t move if told to stay. I know some dogs are reactive but I would prefer to spend .£200 plus on something better tbh
