Roy is one of a kind. No other way to put it. Should try and give "Elizabeth" from this same gig a go, one of the best symphonic/power or just metal songs in general ever written.

Simone's band took their name Epica from Kamelot's sixth Album. Oliver Palotai, the keyboard player is Simone's husband. Roy Khan, the lead singer, left the band and was replaced by Tommy Karevik.

The album that this song is originally from, "The Black Halo," is based on the tale of Faust. It's part two while Kamelot's earlier album, "Epica," is part one of the story.

I recently bought the bluray and cd box "I am the Empire" to discover more from Kamelot. The show was recorded at Poppodium 013, Tilburg, Netherlands. Well, I can tell you that I didn't have any regret to purchase this super awesome concert!! I became a fan from them and want to see them live in concert when they are in the Netherlands again!
American band with a Swedish singer (Tommy Karevik) who's in a relationship with a canadian singer (Kobra paige). But this isn't Tommy, This is Roy Kahn.
How amazing are the two singers this band has had? Unreal.

Tommy is featured in Ayreon, not Roy.

Tommy Karevik (the current lead singer of Kamelot since 2012) is great but Roy Kahn's voice is indeed superb. Too bad he doesn't perform anymore.
PS. Kamelot has performed this song with Floor Jansen, too, but there doesn't seem to be any high quality recordings of it. This is the best I can find with Tommy and Floor singing the same parts as Roy and Simone in this performance:

Kamelot a bit like Nightwish have been lucky to have two brilliant lead singers. Roy Khan who you have here and following him Tommy Karevik. Like Nightwish the fans can be a bit strong for one or the other, all that really matters is that they have been able to continue on into the present and I am sure others will suggest more recent songs with Tommy in the comments. There is a new live concert with several songs available on RUclips and this concert with Roy has several songs including Elizabeth pts 1 2 3 which I am a bit partial to.

Sad that the vocalist Roy Khan left the band (health reasons?), but their new singer, Tommy Karevik, is a good replacement.
I was lucky to see Kamelot (with Khan) twice in the Netherlands.
Well roy is back with his older band now conception. You will barely recognice him now though
