New producers couldn't match the tone Belisarius had set in season 1...wish someone would make a movie of this today....Airwolf being one of the secret helicopters that assisted in Bin Laden's assassination....
difference is AH-64 Apache is a real helicopter, Airwolf is a make-believe helicopter - in real life, it's just an air ambulance, and not designed to maneuver well
When I was a kid, I didn't like this episode because he didn't blow anything up. As an adult, I realize that he was so badass that he didn't even need guns & rockets to kick ass.
This is why Hawke thinks his head and improvised just when Dom and this scientist was just done, but sadly for the bad guys you just messed with the wrong copter.
Airwolf wasn't unarmed. She still had 2 weapons. 1) Her turboes and the Jetwash from them as we see here. 2) Sunbursts: Incredibly hard to use, but if you drop them right in the middle of a bunch of ground pounders, its as bad as white phosphorous.

Mark Bouldin The ones in Season 4 brought it back, in terms of the Cold War/political themes.
