I first heard this on the Universal Frequencies EP, in bed in the dark. The song is beautiful even through the static recording. The only imagery I could come up with is a recording of a disembodied soul leaving this world, for the afterlife. It was a chilling thought but the idea was with me is that there are better places beyond our understanding for all of us to go to when we are all gone. This world is our home, but not forever.
They really need to release a compilation of every version of this song on one EP. Maybe a download EP rather than a physical one. At least we'd all have every version in our playlists then! I love this song, and every version I've ever heard of it.
