      Dani it could possibly be the electromechanical water inlet valve that is the issue. Referenced in the video.

      So far so good from Northern Illinois. My styrofoam piece was pouched out a little. I had to sand it down a little to get it closer to flat. Just barely sanded down the top piece so it wasn’t triggering the switch. Like I said so far so good. Just need it to work till Jesus comes back! Thanks for the video 👍🏼

      Update: it’s been almost a week and the normal light started blinking again. The first time there wasn’t hardly any water in the styrofoam area, I’m thinking it may be that electrical piece you were talking about, do you know what it’s called?

    • @texasyardmanandmore3822
      @texasyardmanandmore3822  11 месяцев назад

      @@codyrandles5414 it's a water inlet valve. Electromechanical valve. But check for other areas first that might be leaking before you buy it. Check previous comments for part number

    • @texasyardmanandmore3822
      @texasyardmanandmore3822  Год назад

      I had to fix mine twice. First time was the water inlet valve located underneath was leaking. I had to replace that as it was leaking. Second time my sink P trap was clogged. The dishwasher backed up and water seeped into the bottom. The dishwasher will shut itself down to protect itself (blinking normal light). You have to clean the water up from underneath and dry everything. Make sure to unplug the device and turn off water to the dishwasher when working on it. If you are unsure, call a professional to be safe.

    Thank you sir! The pressure relief valve on our main water line coming into our house gave out after the city added new piping and housing developments (sudden bursts of high pressure). We also lost the pressure regulator on our hot water tank and our samsung dishwasher was flashing normal and start together! Needless to say, after two expensive plumbing repairs, I was thankful to find your video and see this was, indeed, the solution we needed to fix our samsung dishwasher ourselves. In our case, I did not find a trap blockage at the disposal, so I think it had something wonky to do with either the turning off of the mainline or the draining of the hot water tank. Either way, this was the fix! Thank you!

      Great write up on your problem. Excellent to hear it is back up and running now. We bought this exact dish washer. Got it hooked up, then realized the drain line that goes to the garbage disposal has a punch hole that you have to knock out with a screw driver. Because it wasn’t popped out the water did exactly what you said, blew back into the washer and remained on the bottom pan. Did what you said and BOOM! Fixed in no time. Thank you sir, wish I could buy you a beer (or two).

What makes me mad is I had a repair guy come out the first time this happened and he didn’t tell us what you shared at all. That happened within two months of getting the damn thing. Thank you so much for posting this video. Although I have a different Samsung model dishwasher, the basic steps you provided allowed me to find the source of (1) the reason why the Normal light was flashing and (2) why I was seeing water seeping into my shower which is just below the dishwasher. Apparently, a faulty water intake valve will cause both issues. Thanks to Samsung for creating the float that you mentioned to stop the dishwasher for continuing the wash cycle to potentially cause more damage BUT the float did NOT stop the slow drip that was happening beneath the dishwasher. The slow drip wasn’t enough to pool out in front of the dishwasher to raise alarm bells where I would have shut the water off!! It was enough to have water pool on the ceiling. Grrrrr.
    In any event, I found the part (water intake valve) on Amazon for $33 + I bought a pack of worm gear hose clamps for $20 to reconnect the hose. Samsung wanted $130 for the valve and the clamp.
    You saved me hundreds of dollars for possibly replacing the dishwasher and calling in a plumber because we thought we had a leak in the wall. Thank you!! I provided additional details here to hopefully pay it forward and help someone else. YOU ARE AWESOME!!
